Diner Reviews
  • "We stayed at the Inn at Biltmore for 2 nights, so decided to try the dining room to complete our "Biltmore" experience. We weren't disappointed. We have eaten at many highly rated restaurants and the food, ambience, view, and service here was nothing short of excellent. The cost for a 3-course prix fix was about $60 which for a resort destination like the Biltmore was not bad. They were accommodating with special requests and it was elegant without being stuffy or pretentious. The wine selection by the glass included only Biltmore wines, but there was a large selection of bottles of all types of wine; however, with all the by the glass options, it was possible to find a decent choice. Overall an excellent dining experience."

  • "Had a great time. Made us feel welcome by using our last name and spending time with us reviewing the wine list and menu items in detail. They answered questions as they arose. The staff was extremely professional and clearly wanted our visit to be special. Thanks to them all!"

  • "You can't get much classier than this restaurant with top-notch service from beginning to end. The food was delicious and the restaurant was beautiful. If you're lucky, you can get a table with a view of the Biltmore grounds. I had the best onion soup I've ever tasted. I do wish there were a few more choices for the entree, though. You need to dress appropriately for this restaurant and remember that you have to have a pass to get on the Biltmore Estate grounds, so you may want to plan it the same day as your tour. Of course, guests at the Inn don't have to pay for a pass."

  • "We have had the good fortune to eat at many fine restaurants around the country. The food here was second to none and the service excellent and especially friendly. The view was spectacular, but just dessert. We were there for our 39th Anniversary and it was more memorable than all, but the first."

  • "was staying at the Inn on Biltmore for the week for a 15 year anniversary. We had the chance to have dinner there on 2 occasions. Our server, Hank, was outstanding and made us feel like we were the only couple in the place. We are already planning a return trip and am telling colleagues about the venue, and the staff! Fantastic food, wine, and view. From Bison to scallops, we had wonderful meals."

  • "The Dining Room at the Biltmore Estate is an elegant locations for a wonderful dinner or special occasion. This was our first visit and we ended our visit to Asheville with tour with this dinner. The ambiance and service are extraordinary. We had the three course meal that included an appetizer, entree and dessert, along with a lovely wine selection that perfectly with our meal. I chose the sea scallops and my fiancee had the bison. Both of us were extremely pleased with our selections, the preparation, flavor and presentation were all amazing. One of the pleasant surprises was the chocolate pate for dessert. While is may sound a bit strange it was a delightful dense mousse with a cream cheese ice cream....just astounding!"

  • "Outstanding menu and service. 3 and 5 course prices, and 7 course, with several choices in each category ( appetizers, entrees, desserts) all fresh pastas, good selection of seafood and farm raised meats, extra touches and a leisurely pace, mountain views. Planning my next visit"

  • "Took my wife here for a romantic night out. We ordered the 5 five course meal. The courses were timed well and everything was quite good. The only draw back between this restaurant and others in the fine dining category was the service staff. The staff seem to be very stuck in a script. Not much of a personal touch that I was hoping for. But the food was worth the trip."

  • "My wife and I are celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary and we wanted to go somewhere special for dinner. We chose the Dining Room at the Biltmore Inn and it did not disappoint. The food was prepared and served to perfection. The appetizers offered on the menu were most unusual, but the ones we selected were quite delicious. The bison tenderloin was tender and tasty and one of those choices you just don't find everywhere. Our waiter was knowledgable, congenial and very attentive. The portions were just right and left us with plenty of room for the fabulous dessert."

  • "The food was excellent. Our only complaint was the amount of food on the appitizer plate. For the amount they charge, I would have expected more than three bites. The service was to notch & the staff worked well together. We were glad that we dined in the Inn for at least one of the nights during our visit."

  • "We specifically came to the Dining Room expecting a standout meal. It was only average. The wine list although extensive was not diverse enough for our taste. For example there were no New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs. We were not guest at the hotel, so we had to pay an admission fee to the Biltmore House grounds to enjoy our dinner reservations. The Biltmore House tour was outstanding! So all in all, we had a very good experience. But, we would not recommend this restaurant."

  • "Great service, food and view! We wanted lamb and it was not in the menu, but the chef had just got some in from Colorado for the next night's menu. He made us a special order (two thick, tender pieces, cooked to perfection)"

  • "My wife and I celebrated our 12th anniversary at The Dining Room. We'd originally had reservations at the Sunset Terrace at the Grove Park Inn but were turned off by poor reviews. So we booked our dinner here instead. Best. Possible. Decision. Karen served us and was absolutely outstanding. We've never experienced service like that. Watching the sun set on the Blue Ride Mountains as we ate was stunning. And the food was perfect in every single way. We opted for the three course meal. I had the seafood tomato bisque and filet, and my wife had the spinach appetizer and filet as well. The portions, temperatures, timing, and overall experience were perfect. Karen recommended the chocolate pate for dessert, and we are so glad she did. 5+ stars."

  • "I took my fiance and her son to the Dining Room at the Biltmore Estate for her 50th Birthday. We had the five course meal with a bottle of wine. The food was fabulous. The service was outstanding. And the views were amazing. Any day at the Biltmore is a great day, but capping it with a celebration dinner at The Dining Room is very special indeed."

  • "This is the Dining Room at the Inn on the Biltmore Estate. It is amazing! The service is beyond belief! The quality of the food is unbelievable! The five course meal perfect. The portions are just right. The variety is interesting and the quality is superb. We also had breakfast and it was just as great. Highly recommend the experience. I would suggest a package deal, which include valet parking, breakfast and dinner as well as tickets the the estate. Fantastic experience."

  • "The Dining Room was the perfect place for dinner on our trip to Inn on Biltmore for our 30th anniversary. Our window table had a view of Biltmore House and the mountains. The extensive wine list was excellent. Our 5 course dinner included hot and cold appetizers, a seafood and meat entree plus an amazing dessert. The service was excellent and the entire experience was first class. Anyone celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a great resort with a top notch restaurant should consider the Inn on Biltmore and The Dining Room restaurant in Asheville, NC."

  • "We returned to The Dining Room to celebrate another anniversary. We have done this several times before, but this was the best experience. We received complementary champagne before and after dinner. They have a new Prix Fix menu and it was great. Our server was outstanding. We were never rushed and enjoyed a wonderful evening!"
