Planned to have dinner somewhere on the grounds at the Biltmore Estate for our 1 year Anniversary. I was looking for something special and came across this venue quickly enough. It seemed perfect for the occasion. The reservation was a simple and easy process: 1) Go to website. 2) Pick a date. 3) Pick a time. 4) Schedule it. The dinner was just as described on the website and was most excellent. No cutting corners anywhere. A top-notch establishment at the Biltmore. Would go again and will recommend to friends and family, should they visit!

The atmosphere is wonderful, service excellent and the food very good but not excellent. Some may think the menu is fabulous because it is unique. I personally thought they tried so hard to be unique that they ended up limiting the choices. The way they present the courses makes it a little confusing (and this was not my first time at the Rodeo) But I have to say, I had the short ribs and they were fantastic! The waiter was more than happy to let me exchange items from other entrees to make my meal the way I wanted it. The presentation was beautiful. They have a winery on site so they are pushing the Biltmore label. The wine is very good but not great. I would recommend this restaurant. It is a delightful experience not to be missed.

The spectacular setting of this hotel restaurant on the grounds of the Biltmore Estate sets you up for high expectations which were met. Our server, Karen, provided excellent advice and service and the meal was amazing. We opted for the 5 course tasting menu. The portions were supposed to be down sized so that you could enjoy 5 courses. The portions were actually large and dessert seemed to be full sized. I think the best dishes between the 9 different ones my husband and I tried were the outstanding Brussel Sprout appetizer and the main dish Duck Breast. Worth the money and the trip.

Party of two and chose the three course each. Appetizers of duck ragout over pappardelle and squash soup with bits of lobster outstanding. sea bass with perfectly cooked gnocchi and beef short ribs with risotto seasoned perfectly. The side vegetables were fresh and prepared beautifully. Hope you have room for dessert because they were opulent. Service was outstanding!

Just being at the Inn on Biltmore Estate is a wonderful experience. The service in the Dining Room is excellent. However, when we compare it to the top restaurants in Houston, it's a notch below. The steaks were not as thick as we expected.

When you can toast your anniversary with a sparkling wine called "Pas de Deux" you know the restaurant has joined you in the right frame of mind! Gracious, warm service, lovely extra touches (amuse bouche soup was superb) and a heavenly dessert that combined chocolate and orange flavors (one of my favorite combinations) made it a perfect celebration dinner. We look forward to returning.

Everything was just as we had envisioned for a romantic 40th wedding anniversary dinner - a scenic view, wonderful meal, great service....EXCEPT we were seated in a lonely narrow corridor away from the main dining room. We felt isolated as if we banished from everyone else. We had an early reservation so there were plenty of available seats in the main dining room without having to be banished to the isolated corridor. Unfortunately all we will remember when looking back at the experience is the lonely feeling we had. Ambiance and atmosphere are primary to us--Biltmore failed us there.

Dined at The Biltmore on 10/9 for my Birthday and had a very special experience. You feel special from the moment you step into the dining room until you are taking your last sip of tea. The service was impeccable, the room lovely, the scenery unquestionably the best and the food very good. I was a little disappointed I couldn't get a glass of the wine I wanted (Biltmore wine) with their stores so close and the appetizer and sides with entree were a bit pretentious but it didn't diminish from the evening. The duck I had was cooked to perfection and they made my birthday special with my dessert. Just lovely all around.

Best meal we have had in years and we do go to the best-rated places we can find. We both had fish cooked to perfection with delightful sauces that complemented rather than overpowered the fish (as so often happens). The desserts are simply to die for. The service personnel were polite and friendly and meticulous in detail. Please note if you are looking for a quick meal -- go elsewhere. If you want an elegant relaxing dining experience, this is it. We left the dining room exactly two hours after we had entered it. The dining room overlooks the Blue Ridge Mountains so make your dinner reservation early enough to enjoy the wonderful view.

We loved the ambiance, level of sound, and outside views. The fireplace was enchanting. The food choices were good offering many out of the ordinary starters and side dishes. I prefer more traditional offerings. I had the filet which I found to be over-cooked. I did ask for it medium well. I would order the sea bass next time. The vegetables were extraordinary and tssty. Everyone loved their desserts.

It was our distinct pleasure to stay at the Inn where we had dinner one evening. The Dining Room has a stunning view of the mountains which were so coveted by Mr. Vanderbilt. The DR itself enhances the view with a roaring fire in the enormous fireplace, beautiful table linens, and perfect service. There are a few levels of dinner courses and we chose the 3 course meal. For starters I had the Brussell sprouts with egg which perfectly melded the flavors. My husband the Food Warrior had the charcuterie which was excellent. Our entrees were the beef filet and the sea bass. Both were cooked perfectly and played up by delicious veges. For dessert, the soufflé was the big hit; the chocolate orange mélange not so much. Celebrate and go.

Our dinner took three hours. Be prepared to have your every whim satisfied. Our server, Erin, was relatively new. But she was great. Offered to go outside to take a picture of us with the sunset as a background. When I wanted to substitute items fromt he five course meal, she and Andrea (her trainer) came back with a response fromt he chef, yes for a little surcharge. It was SOOOOO worth it. The seafood stew was a great medley of seafood. The beef short ribs was melt in your mouth. Everything was wonderful and you never felt rushed. Wonderful, romantic, special occasion restaurant. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

If you have an interest in seeing the amazing Biltmore Estate please stay on the estate in the grand hotel. Classic classy from the estate house to the hotel to the grounds....all 4000 acres of the 8000 acre estate. These folks do it all and do it well. It is a marvel to see the grounds and how everything is kept in such pristine condition. So, now to the Dining Room. Again, classy and quiet and elegant. Without being pretentious. Plan on $80 - $100 per person but well worth it. Service to match. We had a grand time.

We had the three course dinner option. Portion sizes were perfect. The Brussels sprouts were okay but wouldn't have ordered it if I had paid closer attention to what else was in the dish like the egg and bacon. That's not a good option for someone watching their cholesterol. The sea bass was very good. The chocolate orange cremeux was excellent. The service was excellent as well. The evening was lovely overall.

At dining room, we got a special blessing from chef. A beautiful "Wedding Anniversary" wordings was on the plate. It is surprisingly amazing! The food and wine is excellent, too. However, the dining room's light is a bit dark, it is not easy to read the manual. But, before my request, the service gentleman immediately gave me a flashlight to read the desert manual. So, your service is so great! I hope we will come back soon, no matter what is the reason.

Dinner in the Dining Room is either a 3-, 5-, or 7-course prix fixe dinner. The least expensive option is $58pp. The wine list has only very expensive bottles (few under $100) or wine by the glass only from the Biltmore winery, which are not terribly good. Service very gracious. Room lighting dim.

This is a very upscale restaurant on the Biltmore Estate. The three course dinner for $58 was superb without the usual limitation of choices seen in some restaurants with a similar offering. The dinning room was excellent! I had proposed that morning and had inform The Dinning room staff that I had order roses to be delivered to the restaurant. The manager called me directly and eventhough I had ordered the flowers from a third party she asked me for the contact information and order number of the flower company and she contacted them to coordinate a flawless delivery. On arrival to the restaurant the roses were on our table. The service and ambiance was perfect. Once my Fiancée received her dessert the chef had written "Congratulations" with chocolate syrup on her plate. The experience couldn't have been better.

The Biltmore Estate continues to be a spectacular place to visit and the dining room at the Inn certainly keeps pace. We were treated to the summer menu from which we selected a melon appetizer and heirloom tomatoes. A salmon entree and a terrific filet entree came next. We had glasses of wine that we had tasted earlier at the Winery. Service was first rate with a head waiter who knew the menu very well. We try to have our anniversary dinner at special places and this ranked well up there for 47th. Oh yes, and the view of the forest/mountains was spectacular. Since we were not staying at the Inn, a ticket to the Biltmore estate is needed which amounts to a $50 cover charge.

By far the most annoying part of this meal was how long it took. We were there for over three hours and most of our part of 6 had no more than 5 courses (some had less). The dining room was dark but the view was very nice. Very limited options on the menu. There were two vegans in our party and the waiter and chef were completely lost preparing suitable meal for them. The portions were incredibly small. The vegan food had no taste (I guess they were lost without relying on butter, cream or cheese). This restaurant seemed to think a lot of itself. We didn't think much of it.

We stayed at the Inn at Biltmore for 2 nights, so decided to try the dining room to complete our "Biltmore" experience. We weren't disappointed. We have eaten at many highly rated restaurants and the food, ambience, view, and service here was nothing short of excellent. The cost for a 3-course prix fix was about $60 which for a resort destination like the Biltmore was not bad. They were accommodating with special requests and it was elegant without being stuffy or pretentious. The wine selection by the glass included only Biltmore wines, but there was a large selection of bottles of all types of wine; however, with all the by the glass options, it was possible to find a decent choice. Overall an excellent dining experience.

Had a great time. Made us feel welcome by using our last name and spending time with us reviewing the wine list and menu items in detail. They answered questions as they arose. The staff was extremely professional and clearly wanted our visit to be special. Thanks to them all!
