Located on Biltmore Estate, Indulge in elegant dining specializing in regional cuisine. Our Culinary Team, winners of Western North Carolina Chef"s Challenge 2010, invite you to enjoy estate-raised beef and lamb, fresh-picked ingredients from our kitchen gardens, in a setting of white tablecloths, beautiful views, and gracious service.

A valid Biltmore Estate admission ticket, Biltmore Twelve Month Pass, or current lodging at the Inn on Biltmore Estate are required to visit any Biltmore restaurant. For evening access to the Estate inquire at the Biltmore Welcome Center.

  • "Our first experience at the Dining Room was exceptional! We had the braised short rib and the surf and turf (this was off the menu but served that day). The short rib was so juicy and moist. It just melted in your mouth. The filet on the surf and turf was cooked perfectly and was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was great for a romantic evening out. If you're lucky to sit next to a window, the views are amazing. We were so impressed with the service. Even though we live 6 1/2 hours away, we are planning another trip back in the fall!"

From the moment we arrived until we left, every staff member there was exemplary. The ambiance of the dining room was delightful as was our food and the plating of the food was spectacular. This dinner is a stand out in our many years of anniversary celebrations."

  • "When I made the reservation I put "It's our 25th anniversary" in the notes. Everyone from the hostess to young man who refilled our water wished us a happy anniversary. It was even written on my dessert plate! The customer service was outstanding - our server Laura, knew the food and and wine and was sweet as could be. Every detail was covered, from offering dark napkins rather than white since I was wearing a black dress (the white leaves behind lint), to complimentary glasses of Biltmore sparkling wine with our dessert. I would love to return for another special occasion."

  • "No better place to enjoy fine cuisine & professional service than at "America's castle", Biltmore Manor. We were staying @ the Inn but our guests didn't want to leave the bucolic setting so we retreated to the patio balcony for after dinner drinks & a beautiful cheese platter. 4 glasses of complimentary Biltmore sparkling wine was sent out in honor of our anniversary along with a plate of cookies which we always love. Perfect dinner in a perfect setting!"

We have never enjoyed a stay and meals as we did at the Inn and have vowed to return. We're only sorry that it took us so long to get there.For two foodies from Williamsburg, VA, the dining room at the Inn was the quintessential experience in gastronomic adventure! We particularly enjoyed Chef's nightly sampling of soup--the cauliflower/white chocolate was our favorite!   • "Our dinner on 3/19/14 was truly a wonderful experience, starting with lovely greeting from the hostess, the elegant yet welcoming dining room right through to a top notch dinner. My husband began his dinner with an outstanding apple parsnip soup with chunks of smoked apples and cider vinegar. My meal began with a delicious salad of goat cheese, beets, radishes and mixed lettuces. One of the specials were crab cakes (crab was local), which delighted my husband. I chose short ribs which were both flavorful and tender. We each had a glass of Biltmore Estate Syrah which complimented of food selections.We shared estate made ice cream for dessert. A truly special evening and one we will want to repeat on our next visit."

  • "We booked a stay at the Biltmore Inn to celebrate the 40th anniversary of our first date, so the dinner was a short elevator ride away. The food was very good--my wife had venison and I had steak and lobster. Both meats were cooked to perfection, and were nice and tender. The lobster was merely good, a little mushy and smothered with a little too much bearnaise. The chef sent our small cups of cold-pea soup that were most excellent, and the cheesecake dessert was as well. The views of the surrounding mountains are outstanding; plenty of windows and good lines of sight from all tables. The restaurant is perfect for romance; a couple got engaged during our four hours (with some after-dinner drinks, since I didn't have to drive)."

  • "The food was excellent, from the trio of breads to the perfectly cooked filet (ordered medium rare and it was exactly that). We also ordered the salmon filet which was very good. Our waiter recommended a great red (The Biltmore "Passport"), which paired excellently with the filet and the Biltmore reserve Chardonnay was excellent with the fish. We appreciated his fine recommendations. We were seated in the middle of the dining room with a wonderful view of the mountains and it was a chilly evening, so we also had the added ambience of their beautifully lit fireplace!! The room is breathtaking along with the view, The service is elegant and can be as personal you non personal as you make it, The menu is spectacular and seasonal.   • "We first ate here for my wife's birthday a couple of years ago, and this was for our anniversary. All the staff were aware of the special occasion and spoke to us by name (i.e. "Mr. & Mrs. R_ __). Having purchased the best Cabernet at the wine shop nearby, we were told there would be no corkage fee since it was an Estate Wine. No time for detail, but from the first taste to the surprise anniversary dessert and champagne, it was a very pleasant experience."

  • "My husband and I dined at The Dining Room on a Sunday evening. The service was spectacular and the food was extremely good. My husband had the Tasmanian Salmon and loved it. I had the Short Ribs and they were the best I have ever eaten. As an appetizer, we shared the caramelized brussel sprouts and they were definitely scrumptious. We shared the trio of sorbet to end our evening with. I would say the experience here rivals any of the great meals we have experienced in NYC or Chicago. We will be back. Give it a try... you won't be sorry!"

  • "The dining room at the Biltmore Inn was exquisite. No detail was missed from the fine linens, to the simple yet elegant decor, the selection of Wine and the friendly and knowledgeable servers. I dined on the succulent short ribs which were amazing while my boyfriend had the filet which was flavorful and cooked and seasoned perfectly. Our meals were paired perfectly with a bottle of Biltmore Estate wine. We concluded the meal with ice cream and creme brûlée. We were also offered an assortment of breads at the start of the meal all of which were delicious topped with fresh soft butter."

  • "The Dining Room at the Biltmore Inn is an overall excellent dining experience, with nice views, professional staff/service, and a stately feel. Management is obviously striving to elevate the dining room to 5-star caliber, but they have a little ways to go. The menu offered diverse options, and for the most part, the kitchen delivered with memorable dishes. At times, we could tell that delicacy and attention to nuance in the pallet was unbalanced, dominated by butter, cream, or salt, etc. Portions were on target, and the wine selection supplemented the meals well. For the price, I would suggest seeking other options in Asheville unless you are already on the Estate, or want to get out in the country."

  • "After drinks in the Library, we went downstairs to the Dining Room (walk down stairs or take elevator). The Dining Room is very attractive, done with understated elegance. It has a large fireplace on the wall in the center of the room, and the room is lit by a number of chandeliers. It's all very tasteful and romantic, with good service. My wife had a frisee & endive salad ($13), very good, & I started with split pea soup ($12), which was nicely presented. I had a 6 oz. beef filet, with whipped Yukon Gold potatoes, caramelized brussels sprouts and a brown sauce ($39). The filet was excellent, very tender with good flavor, but the serving of vegetables was small. My wife had the short rib ($30). Drinks & dinner came to $155 with tip."

  • "We were celebrating my birthday and my husband took me to dinner at the Biltmore Inn. I was so excited and I heard the food was excellent. We were told to get a pass at the gate so we could eat at the biltmore, when we arrived they said we were to late and we should have been there before 5pm. The gate attendant then called the bilmore manager and we were allowed in. We were sat at a small table for 2 so we asked to be moved to a larger table. The food was very good but when my husband told me it was well over 200 dollars I was in shock. Plus we had to pay 8 dollars to pick up our car and tip the driver. We will never eat there again, the food was good but no worth the high price plus all the hidden fees."
