Diner Reviews
  • "My husband and I just adore Snoqualmie Falls and it hold a very special place in our hearts; he proposed to me there. We decided to celebrate our 1 year anniversary having brunch at The Dining Room at Salish Lodge. Neither of us had ever eaten at either dining option at Salish and we were blown away. We had a private dining area with a view of Snoqualmie Falls and the valley. It was wonderfully romantic and the food was spectacular. He ordered a burger and I got the smoked salmon skillet; both were magnificent and I would recommend dining at The Dining Room."

  • "Recently came for brunch and so glad we did. Prices were moderate, but well worth the portions and quality. Can't rate the dinner, but definitely a great choice for brunch. Plenty of items on the menu and great cocktail menu. Will definitely return."

  • "Snoqualmie Falls is beautiful first thing in the morning, and brunch at Salish Lodge really made it that much better. Excellent food (they offer gluten free pancakes!) and impeccable service. Try the table side hot chocolate for two; it's to die for."

  • "Had dinner and breakfast at Salish to celebrate 35th anniversary. Had noisy kids by us for both meals- and we are talking dinner entrees alone (no sides) at 42.00 plus, and breakfast entrees at around 20.00. I raised kids, I have nothing against them, but what happened to our romantic meals?? Staff asked several times, Are you celebrating something special?, then took us into Romper Room. (The Attic upstairs was packed with children at 7 pm as well.) Dining room Food was OK, service same. No view to speak of at dinner, as shades were down to block the sun. Been there one time, no need to return. Good point: we didn't have to get in the car for dinner."

  • "We were treated very well for our anniversary. The view is unbeatable. The background music was very soft which was great because we could actually enjoy conversation. We were tucked in a corner which was perfectly private. The staff was almost too pleasant and the food was excellent. I would have enjoy a few more tortellini with my Alaskan Halibut, but what was there was beautifully presented and exquisite to the taste. If you are feeling high-class and seeking a peaceful spot with fancy food, this is the place for you."

  • "I surprised my wife on our 24th Wedding Anniversary. Made note of the event on the reservation. They had rose petals on the table when we arrived and greeted us warmly. We were pampered and really enjoyed our evening. The one glitch was I ordered peach roses (wedding color) to be delivered and they never arrived. This is where the staff when above and beyond the call of duty! First they searched to make sure they were not misplaced. When they learned there were no deliveries, the manager went and found some red roses, picked fresh foliage from the grounds and actually hand made us a bouquet! It will make our night one we will never forget! Can't say enough good things about it all!"

  • "My husband and I ate at The Dining Room for our 10th anniversary. The restaurant was surprisingly expensive and the food was just OK. We were seated near some windows looking out over the waterfall with a sunset view but the windows were too dirty to see very well. My husband liked his salmon entree but I ordered the only vegetarian option which was a mush of white rice, green peas and uncooked tofu. It was frankly gross and way too expensive at $34. They have a fancy wine list and we had some nice wine so it wasn't all bad. Overall I would not recommend this restaurant for the cost."

  • "For the last 10 years, my wife and I have celebrated by visiting Snoqualmie Falls and enjoying the Country Breakfast at the Salish Lodge Dining Room. We have always been treated so well. This time, in recognition of our special occasion, they made sure we got a private room with awesome view. The four courses of food, as usual, was amazing (we split plates since there is so much, and we both still have to take some home). Each year they make one or two minor tweaks to keep things interesting while staying true to the great tradition of the breakfast. Our server, Lindsay, was very friendly and accomodative to our every need. We love this place and will keep coming back for years to come!"

  • "My wife and I ate at the restaurant for breakfast. The menu was ok but my eggs weren't cooked all the way and some of the potatoes were crunchy. The view was beautiful and coffee was awesome. Not with the money we spent. My wife's waffles were great she said but I find it hard to spend $17 on nothing but a few waffles and apple butter. We wont be back."

  • "We have been to The Dinning Room at Salish twice. Once for brunch and once for Dinner. It is so nice to have a restaurant with an amazing view great service and wonderful food. Brunch was amazing, four courses of delicious breakfast classics. I love the batter they use for pancakes and waffles it is delicious! The Coffee service was Outstanding! My only recommendation is to split one brunch between two people. You will still have left overs. Dinner was incredible as well. We brought our own wine because it was a special occasion, but their wine list is pretty good. We had the chefs tasting menu, it was elegant seasonal and fresh. We will be going back."

  • "Both my husband and I have never been to the Salish Restaurant. I booked it for breakfast for our 6 yr anniversary. Enjoyed every second except when we lst arrived. The hostess was not at the dinning entrance. We waited for 5 mins. Then I went around the corner and she was coming to her station. She was not friendly. I asked if there was an open table by the window and she said no, but one would be available in half an hour. Our waiter was awesome. Ricardo-excellent service. And the gentlemen who delivered the food. Oh I forgot to mention that a table opened up by the window and Ricardo checked and we were moved to the window seat."

  • "Ate lunch/brunch here as a special treat for my out-of-town guests. Despite a noon seating, most of the menu was brunch items, with very few lunch options. Nice food, decent-but-not-great service (why do they always disappear when you finish your meal?) but nothing to get excited about. The kitchen was very kind in whipping up a special-order cocktail sauce upon request."

  • "We made reservations way in advance, looking forward to a great meal in a fine dining establishment. What we got was extremely slow service and cold food. We had to ask for water and coffee refill. The waiter was non-existent most of our meal. It had been a long time since we were last at the lodge and don't see us trying it again anytime soon. We should have stuck with our favorites, Sea Star and John Howie, where we are treated like guests and every meal is special."

  • "We went to The Dining Room @ Salish Lodge because we were told that the 4-course breakfast was a must. The breakfast was absolutely delicious & my husband couldn't get enough of the honey. The worst part of the experience was the service. We each paid $34 for the 4-course breakfast, but mine was only 3-course (no pastry plate for me). No "honey from heaven". Read that you could take home what you didn't eat, but my oatmeal got thrown away. Our server looked annoyed. And my husbands hot chocolate got refilled with coffee (not a coffee drinker). Overall excellent food, but horrible service."

  • "We had our 23rd wedding anniversary dinner here on 6/7/14. Our server was, in a nutshell, AMAZING. She asked us what we were celebrating, took great care of us. Wine list was impressive and they had a sale on many as they were clearing out their cellar. Food was very good, just not sure if it was totally worth the price so we would consider this a special occasion stop. DEFINITELY make reservations, and ask your server what the entrees include so you don't order unnecessary sides. Several employees including the manager checked on us many times to make sure we had all we need. Lodge is nice to stay at as well, but if you come for dinner the valet parking is great and you can walk right next door to the Snoqualmie Falls park."

  • "Pleasant experience, with a few disappointments. Service was good, but food was mediocre at dinner. Our entrees were out less than 10 minutes after we ordered. My halibut was overdone. Given the speed with which it was brought in and its dryness, I got the impression it had been sitting under a heat lamp waiting prior to my ordering."

  • "Intimate table for two in a private alcove. Attentive service. Delicious food. Husband had salmon cooked perfectly, I had scallops also yummy. Dessert was pistachio ice cream over honey cake and it was fabulous. The whole experience was just right for our anniversary celebration."

  • "The food was great! We started out with the crispy pork belly, which is like breakfast because you get oatmeal, egg and pork. Next we split a salad which was big enough for two. I had the salmon, which was crispy on top and very moist and tender inside. The wife had the duck brest which was also very good. This is the best place we ever eat at!"

  • "Overall, we enjoyed our meal. The food was very good and included delicious, unexpected items; bakers basket, fruit plate, etc. However, it would have been nice to know beforehand that our party of five wouldn't/couldn't be seated at the window and a view of the falls, the whole reason we drove an hour to dine there. Our server was nice, but didn't check back on how our meal was, was inattentive to empty coffee cups (we had to ask) and at times seemed tired and other times very chatty. Our food was always served hot with reasonable times between courses, so while not poor, defintiely not the service I'd expect from the Salish. I've dined there several times (dinners and brunch) and never had anything but stellar service."

  • "The first time my wife and I ever visited the lodge and falls and it won't be the last. The service and food was excellent. To top it off the views of the falls made the evening special."

  • "Went there on our way to see the falls. If you eat here valet parking is complimentary and they let you leave our car there while you check out the falls after brunch. Get a window table and start taking in the falls while you eat. I went for the monster 4 course brunch and could barely walk afterwards. "

  • "Some aspects of our dining experience were exceptional! For example, the attention paid to small details, such as placing our napkins on our laps, an unexpected demitasse cup of delicious soup from the kitchen, and bread served with butter on a marble tray with a touch of Salish honey on top. Other aspects, however, were disappointing. We were seated at a window table with a stunning view of the falls, but the windows were damaged and unclean, so we weren't able to enjoy the view. Our salads and appetizers were scrumptious, but our $40 entree was not very flavorful. At breakfast, we waited over 15 minutes before we were acknowledged by our waitstaff, none-the-less offered coffee. Our overall impression was not a 5-star experience."

  • "Upon arriving at The Salish Lodge dining room, we were seated with out of town friends in a cozy room that we had all to ourselves. It was ideal, because these were friends that we hadn't seen for a few years; so the intimate setting was perfect. Our friends commented that we must have "known someone" to have been seated where we were! The food was great, as was the service. They never rushed us, which has always been a pet-peeve of mine!"

  • "Outstanding breakfast/brunch menu, excellent and well-presented fare, top-rate service and a great view from a window table. Great way to entertain out-of-town guests and then take them on a short walk to view the falls, which are at the high water mark in mid-May."
