The DerbyOnce AgainOnce again, we had a special evening. Everything was great. We usually have the bacon wrapped filet, where you can never go wrong. This time we both had the seafood trifecta, consisting of crab cake, shrimp, and bacon wrapped scallops. Service for the most part excellent, our server was a very nice & good humored woman, sorry I didn't get her name...however, when we asked the person who came to clear the table for a couple of small to-go boxes, he brought them, I put my leftover filet in mine, my friend proceeded to begin to fill hers, realized it was too small, asked for a larger one, the guy proceeds to take her box from her & literally stack it over the top with her food then smash the top down repeatedly until he could get it barely closed, this was a rather horrid end to our otherwise great meal!6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely dining room, excellentLovely dining room, excellent service and delicious food. The noisiest of the rooms are moderate at noise level, and the quietest are even quieter, allowing our table to converse without needing to raise our voices. The wine by the glass list is longer than typical and the list has many good values to offer. The only glitsch was a small request with one of the orders; Will was very careful to take it down but the kitchen did not comply. Except for that one thing, the food was very good and we had a thoroughly enjoyable experence. That is the only reason I reated the food with "three stars" instead of higher. Excellent prix-fixe menu as an option at a very good value.This time we opted to bring our own wine instead of select from their list. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass which just melted in your mouth and was juicy with the tomato and red onion salsa that tops it off. The cheesecake was also fantastic topped with a raspberry/ strawberry sauce.
