I think its prices are a little bit high, but the food is good, service and ambience are excellent.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways reliable, relaxingThe Derby has become our "go-to" spot for family dinners because it has the diversity on the menu and the service to keep even the most picky family members happy. The noisiest of the rooms are moderate at noise level, and the quietest are even quieter, allowing our table to converse without needing to raise our voices. The wine by the glass list is longer than typical and the list has many good values to offer. The only glitsch was a small request with one of the orders; Will was very careful to take it down but the kitchen did not comply. Except for that one thing, the food was very good and we had a thoroughly enjoyable experence. That is the only reason I reated the food with "three stars" instead of higher. Excellent prix-fixe menu as an option at a very good value.This time we opted to bring our own wine instead of select from their list. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass which just melted in your mouth and was juicy with the tomato and red onion salsa that tops it off. The cheesecake was also fantastic topped with a raspberry/ strawberry sauce.
