This was our 22nd anniversary and wanted the dinner to be truly special. We chose the Del-Bar because we know the food and atmosphere was fantastic. What we also received was wonderful service, starting with a complementary glass of champagne for our anniversary, followed by the best dinner. We received the best table in the place, center booth and they made sure everything was extremely memorable. We will definitely chose the Del-Bar again for future anniversaries!

The Del Bar provides a terrific experience - from the angled bars at the lounge, to the decor that honors the Dells rocks along with a nod to Frank Lloyd Wright, to the menu that takes classic Supper Club items and updates them for today's tastes. The vintage feel is only in its atmosphere - the food is clever and fresh, bold with flavors. Service was neat and quick and not intrusive.

the restaurant was great. I loved the ambience and the food. Service was also nice. Open table failed, miserably. The address and subsequent directions were wrong. took me out of the way and to the wrong part of town, and when we arrived they did not have our reservation even though Open table claimed that we had one! How embarrassing. never using your service again, and I will recommend others to try another service.

Our Dells favorite, away from Dells noise. Old time charm with lovely Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired dining rooms. Be sure to make a reservation for Weekend June- OCtober at least day before. Great service very friendly staff and good food. Have the duck, wiener schnitzel or a steak.

We have dined here several times in the past few years. This time, we felt there were some inconsistencies in the food. You will pay a premium to dine here. The basket of crackers were a little soggy or stale. The salad was bitter and the lettuce obviously from a bag. The steaks were excellent. The server was adequate, but we would expect a more sophisticated server for a fine dining experience. Bottle wine was 20% off on Sunday evening so that was a plus. A lot of little extra charges for substitutions. For four people our bill came to almost $300. No dessert, no cocktails. One bottle of wine, two soft drinks, one appetizer and 4 entrees. We likely will not rush to return, because it felt like we overpaid for what we got.

I put three words in the Open Table notes for our Del Bar reservation....60th anniversary celebration. We were pleasantly greeted and seated at a comfortable table, light music in the background. Our outstanding waitress, Bonnie, greeted us by wishing my parents a happy 60th. They were so impressed! Bonnie then arrived with complimentary champagne and continued her excellence with offers of assistance and suggestions at just the right time. She fulfilled their expectations by setting a gentle pace for our dining experience. The food was excellent! I highly recommend the Del Bar, where you can look forward to an enjoyable experience, superb food, and excellence in service.

I booked a table online for 8 PM. We arrived at 7:40 and were told that if we booked online after 4 that our reservation would not be honored. We waited well over an hour to be seated. They then seated us at a table that was sitting empty the whole time we waited. They had a sign in sheet and seated people after us...they were parties of 2...so were we. The hostesses were not very friendly. Sat there shaking their heads. Most unwelcoming. I ordered the scallop appetizer and it and the baked french onion soup were wonderful. I ordered their special. I believe it was a flat iron steak. The waitress told me it was the same cut of meat as prime rib. Wrong! It was bone dry. They gave me french onion soup broth for au jus. Terrible

Ribeye special was very fatty even for a ribeye. Expensive crappy steak for $36.00. Scallops were excellent however were served sitting in a pool of weird liquid. mac and cheese was tasteless. They serve a wedge salad with french dressing and i have never seen that done. I think the chef might be a bit off. Our last night we went to Fields at Wilderness and had a wonderful and less expensive meal. This place is beautiful on the inside with excellent food and the most accommodating wait staff you will ever find. Go to Fields and forget the Del Bar!

I can't say that I would or would not recommend the Del-Bar to a friend. I would say to someone that asked: It is expensive for what you get. The food is generally tasty. I had walleye and it was very good. My husband had shrimp and grits and 4 shrimp, even large, didn't seem like much for the price. Salads were short on greens and heavy on dressing. The ambiance is nice and there is reasonable space between tables so you can be reasonably assured that you can carry on a conversation. Service is slow-paced so I wouldn't recommend it if you were in a hurry or had small children with you.

Our experience was fantastic. The clean restaurant was runn efficiently with more than courteous staff. Upon sitting down we were greater with a smile and a little about the restaurant and the food. Appetizer of Wisconsin cheese curds were a hit. Even for a guy who isn't crazy about honey mustard. Salads were good. My wife's shrimp was very good, but all fail in comparison to the NY strip I received. We planned our dinner around recommendations from friends about Del-bar's amazing steaks, and I was not let down. Best steaks in town PERIOD

Felt a bit taken in with the Del Bar. I enjoyed the food; well prepared and tasted wonderful. Didn't like stepping back in time with no free soda refills or lack of requested modifications. Got taken in with the decent kids menu price and I felt taken by being nickelled-and-dimed on the rest of the meal. I'll keep driving my the next time I'm in town.

Overall, experience was good. Not our first time dinning at the Del-Bar. Server was nice, friendly, and attentive. Waht she lacked for a 4 star dinning experience was listening skills, when she brings the wrong wine bottle, salad, and appetizer out to you, one starts to wonder about their training or focus? Not the best experience I've had at Del-Bar, but I do love their food.

Classic Wisconsin Dells supper club experience! We had a group of 12 and the service and food were SUPERB. Every employee we encountered was pleasant and welcoming. Wonderful bar to have a drink before being seated. The bartender knew how to make a proper martini! The appetizers, main course and sides were terrific---well prepared and of very good quality. All that said, the best part of the experience was the kind lady who waited us. Absolutely unflappable, (and highly competent). The service felt neither slow nor rushed. The noise level in the secluded room we were seated was perfect. Just a friendly and comfortable place with terrific food. We will definitely return.

Great steak and wine list. Prices are similar to other well known, non-chain steakhouses we have been to so it was not a shock to us. Be sure to check it out online if you are looking for a "cheap" meal. We are willing to pay for good food and drink, and the Del-Bar was well worth it to us. Our server was very professional and experienced. Would make it a must to go back if in that area again.

For the last 4 years we close our family vacation at this establishment. The hostesses this year, two elderly women did NOT greet us as we entered as they greeted other diners who entered after us. Upon being seated I sent my 11 y/o grandson to request sugar due to none being on our table. One of the hostesess brought a dish and when I and my daughter said, "thank you," she walked away without a response. Our waitress from last year, "Renee," was VERY NICE and ATTENTIVE" although she was not waiting our table.

We dressed for the occasion but everyone else you can tell was on vacation as so were we. It seems to be set for both. We arrived at 500 which was not busy at all and they have a lower price menu for early birds. We ate the Pan fried walleye, cold water lobster, oysters on the half shell, crab cakes and for the kiddies they had the chicken fingers. Every single food item was prepared perfect. The walleye flaked perfectly the lobster was at the right temp and not over/under done. One thing we got that we were not happy with was one of the drinks that we got. It was a mojito. So if this is the only complaint is it really one? ;)
