The year was 1943, and Jim and Alice Wimmer decided to take a big risk, buying a small existing roadside restaurant known for its char-broiled steaks. How fitting that in 2018, the restaurant's 75th anniversary year, the third generation of Wimmers, Amy Wimmer, takes the helm from her father Jeff and his wife Jane, bringing her own adventurous spirit to the Del-Bar, the same kind of spirit she so admired in her grandparents.                                                     Best Steak I’ve ever had hands down!!! We picked a very busy day to go apparently, So unfortunately they ran out of a-lot of the things we tried ordering from appetizers to small plates. I would definitely try Del Bar again when visiting the dells area.

                                                    Filipe went out of his way to make our dinner as amazing as always. He even saved the last one of an item because he knew our son was going to want to order it. Great service!

                                                    The hostess was extremely nice. I called in and asked her if we could come in an hour early and at first they were completely booked, but she called me back and was able to sit us at 7:30 instead of 830. The menu has great choices of seafood and meat. The salads were very good too. The bloody Mary was amazing. The halibut was delicious and the oysters were very fresh.  The restaurant is a bit on the expensive side, but that’s expected out of a steakhouse. The only thing I wish the air conditioner wasn’t so high on. It was a little too cold for us in the restaurant. We would definitely come back.

                                                    We had a fantastic experience at the Del Bar, our server Melissa P was outstanding😀. She gave us excellent food and drink recommendations. The food and drinks were phenomenal. I would most definitely recommend the Del-Bar to anyone. We made reservations and I would highly recommend making reservations. Overall an excellent experience.

                                                    We were seated in the middle of the dining room, which was fine. Lots of activity, for sure! Because of my hearing loss, I had some trouble, but there were only three of us and all family so they knew to adjust to my deficiency. I had the hash browns, which as usual were delicious, but my wife remarked later that they came with onions, which I guess I didn't notice. We both recall in the past the options of cheese and/or onions was always offered for hash browns. Must be a new twist. The prime rib (my first at DB) was great, daughters halibut and wife's pasta carbenera equally tasty.

                                                    Our experience was very good. Surprised by glasses of champagne. The only thing for me would be to sear the outside of the steak just a little longer . VERY ENJOYABLE anniversary meal .

                                                    We unfortunately were seated in the area off from the bar and that changes the entire vibe of the experience. We had only been there once before and loved the low ceiling and cozy atmosphere of the bar. There was a family seated next to us that elected to entertain their children with an iPad at full volume the entire meal. I’m amazed this is allowed by the staff and it really puts other patrons in a difficult spot requesting to not listen to cartoons or videos games when you are paying $100/person at a nice establishment. The hostess asked if we were celebrating anything and I informed her we were there for my brother-in-law’s 60th birthday and she said she would tell our server but no acknowledgment happened. The food is delicious and a good value so we will be back. I’ll just need to be more assertive to have the experience I want.
