Del-Bar “the best steaks in town since 1943.” Passionate, fairly priced wine list. Cocktail lounge. Prime Steaks, Jumbo seafood, Fresh fish, Sandwiches and more. The Del-Bar was establish in 1943 as a Roadside… Steakhouse by Jim and Alice Wimmer and today is still family owned and operated by Jeff and Jane Wimmer. "We had a wonderful time and the meal was excellent. The staff was most accommodating to us as our group grew by two more and they changed our table graciously. Very enjoyable experience and I will definitely come back again."

"The food was very over priced for the quality. We have had better quality food in the past here. We were disappointed in the limited selection of steaks. We drove one and a half hours to eat there."

"I live and work in the area, the Del Bar has been a favorite place of mine for many special occasions. This occasion the entire meal was horrific. The spinach salad was served with some type of white vinegar gravy with chunks (and I do mean 1" chunks) of HAM in it. The vegetable medley was mere carrots and chopped bell peppers with 2 small pieces of cauliflower and 2 small spears of over microwaved asparagrus. The steak was a marinated steak and had a mushy texture. It was a gray pink and certainly not the expected steak for the price. I and my husband both spent the remainder of our evening sitting on a white throne. I am qualified to judge, I hold a Serv Saf and State of Wisconsin restaurant manager's license."

"March 10th was my birthday so my husband took me to the Del-Bar on Friday night. We had gone there for our first date 38 years ago so this restaurant has special meaning for us. Our reservations were for 7 p.m. and we got there at 6:30, expecting to wait to be seated. To our surprise the hostess sat us immediately. The food was very good and the service outstanding. Our only issue was that it was pretty noisy in the dining room and we had a hard time conversing. But that is to be expected when the dining room is filled with other customers. We can't return often because we live far away, but we would definately come back for another special occasion."

"We have dined at the Del-Bar on numerous occasions, and it remains our favorite restaurant in the Dells area. Once and a while a dish doesn't quite live up to our expectations, such as last Saturday's wedge salad was composed of limp lettuce. But, it is more consistently excellent than any other restaurant in our proximity. The atmosphere is delightful, and the menu is appropriately varied."

"We had a wonderul experience at the Del-Bar. We had requested a table by the fireplace on Open Table and when we arrived our table was ready and it was located right next to the fireplace. The decor and the ambiance was incredible. We had a waitress named Michelle who was beyond outstanding, one of the best that we have ever had. The food came out exactly how we ordered it and the flavor and presentation was great. We would highly recommend the Del-Bar to anyone who lives in this area or who is visiting this area."

"The service was excellent as always. Been there many times and the food has always been great until our latest visit. The shrimp was so-so and the filet mignon was awful. There was little flavor and it was like eating leather when we had ordered medium. Shouldn't have had to load my steak with ketchup for that price. We will not be going back. Also, there was a group that was very loud and obnoxious. It would have been nice if that staff would have asked them to turn it down a notch."
