  • "Classiest place in NOLA. Worth it to see the chandeliers alone."

  • "I brought five out-of-town business associates to the lunch buffet. I also shared the history of the hotel, the block, and street names with them. They all loved the food and the experience."

  • "Absolutely awful, so rude, unprofessional, hurried, distracted, waiters without knowledge of the menu. Nice old chandelier but nothing else redeeming."

  • "This restaurant is a gem. Worth eating in breakfast, lunch or dinner. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful."

  • "My family and I love the relaxed feeling of this facility. I usually treat my clerical staff to this place for lunch; however, being there with my mother and mother-in-law for mother's day exceeded what we get for lunch. I will definitely would return for other special events. The salmon was excellent. There was a varity of foods and sweets to choose from. "

  • "Perfectly placed. The service in the restaurant was awesome. Our server was a gem."

  • "We did not enjoy the brunch as much as usual. Seems as tho' the wait staff was a little tired and slow, however always pleasant. The food did not seem to be very special for $75. It was more like just a usual Sunday brunch. The center of the prime rib was entirely fat. Waffles were just warm and soggy and we were not offered any hot. The only vegetables (other than the salad bar) that were offered were in a heavy white sauce with just a few green beans sprinkled in. That was the only source of hot vegetables that I saw. I think that we will look elsewhere for our Sunday brunch for a change. However, we will not discount returning at a later time to The Crystal Room."

  • "Wow! Terrific! Fantastic! This is our third Easter at Le Pavillion / Crystal room. The piano is wonderful! The food is terrific! The service is grand! They take very good care of each person as an individual. Then in the lobby were the ducklings, chicks and bunnies. Always a treat!!!"

  • "We reserved with more than 5 days in advance for a 76 Birthday Celebration!!! We were 16 people, they prepare the table and thats it..... 2 waitres for all the restaurant, wait more than 30 min for bread, they bring 6 pieces for 16 people, ask for more after 15 min I went with the Manager they bring bread..... Order the food... 40 min later they served half of the table and 20 min after the other half of the table. Took Almost 3 hrs for the worst dinner experience ever. "

  • "I'm a big fan of the crystal room. Normally have Sunday brunch there. Was in town and had dinner. Experience was not as good. My filet was great but guest ribeye was burned and served. Long wait on good. Management and server were gracious and offered to recooked but we were pressed for time . It's a great place but just a bad night to dine. I'll be back for the Sunday brunches only."

  • "We went to the Crystal Room to celebrate a 50th Birthday and it was a direct hit! I had booked the Crystal Room prior to my trip to New Orleans from California. What a gorgeous structure, very impressive, outstanding food and wine and the bartenders will bend over backwards to provide you a representative cocktail of New Orleans upon request. I will be back soon!"

  • "Not what I was looking for. Great service but not the traditional New Orleans breakfast I was seeking. Tried to find a "Brennans" but this is not it."
    Dined on 4/5/2014
  • "Excellent ambience and food accompanied by a wonderful piano player Philip Melancon. I enjoyed the grill fish and the omelletes. The best choice of brunch in New Orleans"

  • "Had a wonderful filet mignon and pasta jambalaya. Excellent service, atmosphere, and a great bar just outside the doors of the restaurant."

  • "We reserved with a formal dinner in mind. When we arrived on Mardi Gras evening, they were pushing a buffet. But the manager accommodated our preferences and gave us a menu. Very gracious of her. The food was quite good."

  • "Ate brunch for the second time at this location.Food was delicious with a huge selection of both breakfast and lunch/dinner options. Standouts were the gumbo, grits and grillades, the fresh seafood and a large selection of desserts. They have a piano/singer who is excellent. The service is top notch with uniformed friendly servers."

  • "Really liked the service and the food but I am a very picky person. If there is a bill that exceeds $1,000.00 then the food better be exceptional as well as the service. For having a decent size group with me, I wasn't terribly disappointed. I think that for as nice as the place is, they could step up the taste of the food and could do a few things from a service standpoint that would be more proper. Other than that, I loved the place, the servers attitude, and the full belly I left with."

  • "We were unaware that the buffet ended at 1 when we made our reservation for 12:45. The Sunday buffet was a great disappointment. Most of the food was well past its prime. An entire platter of deviled eggs sported a dull dry crust. The lox was dried out; only one half of a bagel was left in the basket. Only 4 pieces of fish left. The syrup for the dried out french toast was thick, sticky, and tasteless, more like Karo than maple. The eggs benedict were dried out and their english muffin base was so rubbery it couldn't be cut with a table knife. The "complimentary" mimosas were undrinkable: bad champagne and watery orange juice. Other food was equally disappointing. Our check was comped but that didn't improve our dining experience."

  • "The service and ambiance were outstanding. The food was good, but the preparation felt "old". A quiet place for a romantic dinner."
    Dined on 1/16/2014
  • "Not only was every single entree amazingly prepared and ridiculously good, but the service at the hostess were so nice, our group felt like we were in a restaurant by ourselves, but other were present. It's so hard to describe how amazing the hotel scenery was and how much it added to the dining experience. There are no other words to describe the Crystal Room besides beautiful and absolutely amazing!!"

  • "On our first visit to New Orleans, I picked this Brunch location for the reason that it was out of the ordinary in what appeared to be an elegant dining room. I was a bit skeptical due to a rash of poor reviews which appeared from Christmas time diners. However, we found nothing but exceptional features at the Crystal Room. Service was "spot on", our Champagne glass was constantly being topped-off. The staff kept the food well stocked on the buffet and the egg and waffle station was most enjoyable. We would certainly include a Sunday Brunch at The Le Pavillon Hotel on our next trip to New Orleans!"

  • "This is a very nice place for a business lunch. That is the only meal I have had there so cannot comment on dinner. The lunch buffet was delicious, a wonderful salad bar with a wide variety of offerings. The hot buffet was also very good with 2 fish entrees, shrimp, ham, veggies. Also a pasta station that had whole wheat pasta and sugar-free sauces. The service was attentive but not overly so. Great for business discussion. The atmosphere is beautiful and stately. A fire in the fireplace kept us warm on a cool day. All in all I would recommend for lunch (again because I have not experienced other meals) and would return."

  • "I took my 80 year old mom out for New Year's Eve dinner. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas, and the Crystal Room was very elegant. My mom is a diabetic, and the staff was very accommodating, catering to her special food needs even though they had a fixed menu that night. Service was fantastic, and the piano player was great. It was the perfect place to take her."

  • "We spend each and every holiday and all special occasions there. It has beautiful decorations, enjoyable, live music and an excellent variety of foods. Nothing desirable is missing."

  • "We went to the so-called Champagne Jazz Brunch on Christmas Day. The food was very good and there were a lot of great choices on the buffet. However, we were lead to believe that we would be hearing jazz during our meal. The pianist was not a jazz pianist but rather a cheesy lounge pianist/singer who sang dreadful parodies of Christmas carols. Very little improvisation and what little there was wasn't very good. You could pull a random musician off the street to hear better music in this city... especially considering that we were paying 75 bucks a head, the Crystal Room could've done a lot better. We were extremely disappointed in the quality of the music and wish we'd eaten someplace cheaper and saved our money to go hear real jazz..."

  • "Everyone in our party throughly enjoyed our experience."
    Dined on 12/25/2013
  • "Although the Le Pavillon Hotel is a beautiful place, especially the dining room with live piano, I was disappointed that the only choice was the Prix Fixe dinner. I would have liked to substitute the dessert for another vegetable and have more choices for the main course. The crabmeat and shrimp appetizers were both excellent. I thought the main courses were slathered with too much sauce. Should have asked for that on the side."
    Dined on 12/24/2013
  • "We thought that as we were going on a weekday for lunch, that the food would not be that special but we were pleasantly surprised. From soup to dessert, excellent choices such as marinated crab claws and black drum covered with lump crabmeat to lemon ice-box pie. And the waiter couldn't not have been more attentive."
    Dined on 12/26/2013
  • "The foods was average and often the serving dishes were empty or close to it. The duck was way over cooked. The serving area was often cluttered with used serving spoons. The dining area is quite cramped."

  • "WOW!! What more can I say, this Christmas Brunch was fabulous!"
    Dined on 12/25/2013
  • "Christmas night and our family of 4 was visiting New Orleans and we thought we would go fancy - little did we know we would never end up with a dinner at Le Pavilion!!! Service was SO BAD that we had to beg to get our order taken, then as all other tables near us got good service (and dinner) we got NO SERVICE and NO DINNER! We left after 1.5 hrs after having 1 drink and appetizer and had Christmas pizza across the street!!!"
    Dined on 12/25/2013
  • "We had a wonderful pre fixe dinner for Christmas eve. Food was great, and service (Mikel Mark again, thanks!) was outstanding."
    Dined on 12/24/2013
  • "Crystal Room has a wonderful buffet lunch. Even so, they were nice enough to let us order some steaks off of the dinner menu. Service was wonderful (thank you Mikel Mark)."
    Dined on 12/23/2013
  • "The food and ambience made for an excellent choice for our Christmas Eve dining experience! The Crystal Room is absolutely beautiful and can only be described as an "old world" masterpiece of art, filigree, and class. It is beautifully decorated with tastefully done mirrored walls and art and of course, crystal chandeliers. The food was excellent and the service top notch. They also have a very good lunch buffet that I have had on many occasions. It is a bit of an undiscovered gem for dining in New Orleans!"

  • "The service was disappointing. I don't think our server has ever been a waitress in real life, and certainly not at a restaurant of this price range. Although a different employee of Le Pavillon called us on the morning of Christmas Eve to confirm our reservation, the restaurant seemed unprepared when we arrived for our 2:00 seating. Although we reserved a table for 5, we were seated at a table set for 6. The server delivered just 1 menu to our table, then delivered a 2nd menu after about 10 minutes, then 3 more after another 10 minutes, saying she couldn't find the menus. Our meals came out 2 at a time, with 10 minutes in between so we sat and watched our food get cold. The food was mediocre at best. We won't be back."
