The worst dinner, food was awful. Over cooked, terrible presentation, looked like it was a frozen dinner that got plated. Salad dressing was like gelatin, pasta was mush, and crab cakes tasted sour. Just horribly slow service and we were only one of two tables. So bad our guests preferred the 10pm pb&j served by the hotel nightly. The worst $300 we ever spent. Dining room smelled like propane and we were told it was because the draperies were cleaned that day.

Our service was fantastic and our food was cooked perfectly (ribeye, veggies, mashed potatoes). The dining room was pretty empty (3 other tables besides us). The only thing that bothered me was the way the other customers were dressed. It was our anniversary so we dressed up (sport coat and slacks for the hubby, long skirt and top for me) nothing too crazy but the others were in jean shorts, tshirts & flip flops... It just took away from our special evening and the fancy theme of the restaurant. I really wish they would enforce a dress code... But since there weren't many customers I'm sure that's the last thing they care about.

The restaurant was beautiful, the fireplace was lit and the tables were set nicely. The server was nice and made good recommendations, but he wasn't aware of what wasn't available. The wait was long even though there were only six people dining, but the food was delicious. When our meal was complete my daughter and I requested to take the food we didn't finish with us. The server took our plate and returned with nothing.

Poor Service. Server went to the table just once, basically to offer any drinks, the rest of the times I had to stand up and ask for whatever I needed. I even had to ask the greeter for my check and someone other than my server brought it to my table because the server was so busy gossiping and laughing that he couldn't do it.

We had a gift certificate for the lunch buffet which prompted our visit here. We had been there once before several years back for an office holiday luncheon. The lunch buffet had an excellent selection of items from which to chose. The food quality would be hard to beat. The service was attentive and quickly responded to our requests. I met a friend there who eats there and in the area regularly and who stated that this was the best value for its quality. I have to vigorously agree with him. In the future I will look to bring my out-of-town family and friends here at some time during their stay. Parking in the area is congested, but there are a couple of lots about 2 blocks away that have a reasonable charge for 3 hours.

Nice setting but there was only one other person in the restaurant on a Monday night. More of a hotel dining room that was setting up for breakfast the next morning. The service was good given that we were alone. Food was also good. Would recommend it more of a weekend spot when there is more activity.

Service was not up to expectations for such a supposedly nice restaurant. The whole restaurant was empty besides one other table and it took an hour to get our food. The wine tasted stale as if it had been open for weeks - which makes sense if they're serving 2 tables a night. Food was actually tasty though so hats off to the chef.

My family and I love the relaxed feeling of this facility. I usually treat my clerical staff to this place for lunch; however, being there with my mother and mother-in-law for mother's day exceeded what we get for lunch. I will definitely would return for other special events. The salmon was excellent. There was a varity of foods and sweets to choose from.

We did not enjoy the brunch as much as usual. Seems as tho' the wait staff was a little tired and slow, however always pleasant. The food did not seem to be very special for $75. It was more like just a usual Sunday brunch. The center of the prime rib was entirely fat. Waffles were just warm and soggy and we were not offered any hot. The only vegetables (other than the salad bar) that were offered were in a heavy white sauce with just a few green beans sprinkled in. That was the only source of hot vegetables that I saw. I think that we will look elsewhere for our Sunday brunch for a change. However, we will not discount returning at a later time to The Crystal Room.

I'm a big fan of the crystal room. Normally have Sunday brunch there. Was in town and had dinner. Experience was not as good. My filet was great but guest ribeye was burned and served. Long wait on good. Management and server were gracious and offered to recooked but we were pressed for time . It's a great place but just a bad night to dine. I'll be back for the Sunday brunches only.

We were 16 people, they prepare the table and thats it..... 2 waitres for all the restaurant, wait more than 30 min for bread, they bring 6 pieces for 16 people, ask for more after 15 min I went with the Manager they bring bread..... Order the food... 40 min later they served half of the table and 20 min after the other half of the table. Took Almost 3 hrs for the worst dinner experience ever.

Really liked the service and the food but I am a very picky person. If there is a bill that exceeds $1,000.00 then the food better be exceptional as well as the service. For having a decent size group with me, I wasn't terribly disappointed. I think that for as nice as the place is, they could step up the taste of the food and could do a few things from a service standpoint that would be more proper. Other than that, I loved the place, the servers attitude, and the full belly I left with.

We were unaware that the buffet ended at 1 when we made our reservation for 12:45. The Sunday buffet was a great disappointment. Most of the food was well past its prime. An entire platter of deviled eggs sported a dull dry crust. The lox was dried out; only one half of a bagel was left in the basket. Only 4 pieces of fish left. The syrup for the dried out french toast was thick, sticky, and tasteless, more like Karo than maple. The eggs benedict were dried out and their english muffin base was so rubbery it couldn't be cut with a table knife. The "complimentary" mimosas were undrinkable: bad champagne and watery orange juice. Other food was equally disappointing. Our check was comped but that didn't improve our dining experience.

On our first visit to New Orleans, I picked this Brunch location for the reason that it was out of the ordinary in what appeared to be an elegant dining room. I was a bit skeptical due to a rash of poor reviews which appeared from Christmas time diners. However, we found nothing but exceptional features at the Crystal Room. Service was "spot on", our Champagne glass was constantly being topped-off. The staff kept the food well stocked on the buffet and the egg and waffle station was most enjoyable. We would certainly include a Sunday Brunch at The Le Pavillon Hotel on our next trip to New Orleans!

This is a very nice place for a business lunch. That is the only meal I have had there so cannot comment on dinner. The lunch buffet was delicious, a wonderful salad bar with a wide variety of offerings. The hot buffet was also very good with 2 fish entrees, shrimp, ham, veggies. Also a pasta station that had whole wheat pasta and sugar-free sauces. The service was attentive but not overly so. Great for business discussion. The atmosphere is beautiful and stately. A fire in the fireplace kept us warm on a cool day. All in all I would recommend for lunch (again because I have not experienced other meals) and would return.
