The Crown & GooseGreat first impression, must returnThe atmosphere was quiet on a Thursday evening. The dining area is well laid out with a subtle uniqueness. Service was excellent as all observed staff appeared neatly dressed and professional in their conduct. The food was far above average for the area. It was easily discerned that the meal was freshly prepared and that the chef pys attention to detail in the preparation. The dessert set the meal over the top. The sticky puddings is a must try. I will definitely return.5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMSunday BrunchWe dropped by after Church on Sunday and enjoyed a fantastic brunch! Great service, friendly staff, awesome food! Try the fish and chips!5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day BrunchWe took my Mother to brunch for Mother's Day and had an amazing meal. The only drawback was that our service was slow, taking 15 minutes to order and then nearly an hour to get our food. However once our food got there it was great so that made up for the slow service some.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMy favorite restaurantThe fish and chips are a must! The smoked salmon and asparagus was amazing! the atmosphere is relaxed and the essence of a traditional English pub is spot on! The patio is clean and very private. The Crown and Goose continues to be my favorite reeturant in Knoxville.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat service. Fantastic beersWonderful selection of high gravity beers. Steak sandwich was great. Probably would go with the fries over the fried onions next time as a side. Great place to hang after work5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent as AlwaysI've been going to the Crown and Goose from shortly after they opened on. The food this trip was great as always; I had the sausage of the day as Bangers and Mash with a Guinness.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMThey have a great selectionThey have a great selection of beers with a few notable British ales. Food is imaginative and very well executed.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food...fun place. OverallGood food...fun place. Overall great dining experience!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMDefinitely fit for foodies.Definitely fit for foodies. The Small plates were interesting and selection of oysters on half shell were very good. Had a very interesting and creative cocktail selection. Only glitch was timing from kitchen. Very long time between appetizers and entree. Definitely a nice casual but fun gastro pub.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMMy new favorite spot! The atmosphere is wonderful, you want to kick back have your food/drink and socialize with your guests. Service is top notch and the staff are very knowledgeable on the dishes and drinks. The Shepards Pie with Lamb Chops was amazing and the Fish & Chips, although not traditional, were very good. I will defiantly return to try more of the menu,4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMTry to get a table on the back patiFood and service were awesome. But because of a "Thing" they had going on, we had to sit next to the bar where there was a lot of noise and traffic. Overall experience was great and food was out of this world.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went for Easter BrunchWe went for Easter Brunch and it was fabulous ! I had their Belgian waffle with fresh fruit and hash browns with their bacon. That bacon was the best bacon that I've ever eaten. The mimosas were good. We will definitely go back.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was my second trip andThis was my second trip and I have had two great experiences. Food has been great, service was excellent and it's just a cool place. My only issue on this night was the kitchen. It took 45 minutes before the food was delivered, and the waitress told us that the kitchen was backed up, although the place wasn't that busy.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMFestive diningI am very glad I found this restaurant. It is very close to the pubs in England. The atmosphere is very festive and the food is very good. I will definitely be returning to this establishment.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and serviceIncredible seasonal items on their rotating menu makes for a new experience each time. The service was efficient and not overbearing. My wife and I especially enjoy the cheese board as an appetizer. Only complaint this trip was a warm beer, but the food and atmosphere more than made up for that.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMWe came early on march 16We came early on march 16 to celebrate a low key st Patrick's day and had a blast. Curtis was our server and was absolutely awesome. Very informative about menu items. And dressed for the occasion. Loved it3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Crown and the Goose servesThe Crown and the Goose serves excellent traditional American and British-influenced food, consistently and well at reasonable prices. We think it is the best restaurant in Knoxville at any price level. They do equally good jobs with fish and beef.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AM
