Diner Reviews
  • "The food was delicious! They took a little while to get us seated, but it was worth it because they gave us an outdoor table."

  • "Ok, upon arrival, the hostess found my reservation and was ready to seat me, except my party had not arrived yet. But it was god to know the table was already ready. We were sat and tended to rather quickly. We ordered and were brought drinks in a timely fashion. The food came shortly thereafter. The only 'thing' is the noise level. It is pretty energetic. We felt ourselves talking above normal just to hear each other from across the table. But the ambiance is amazing. The wait staff is very attentive and the prices are A-freaking-mazing. The AYCD for 2 hours is $29 with any entrée, expect if you have the steak and eggs, add $5. Which is still quite awesome. I will be back."

  • "I stumbled upon this place several months back and have made it a "go to" location when meeting clients for work. Have even added it to our evening list and have brought the family to dine. Will keep coming back for more."

  • "Went to this restaurant two separate times after concerts in the area. Has good food and a nice laid back/kitschy atmosphere. The bar is connected and open-air, so the noise level is moderate-loud, especially since I was there late on a Friday night, but not uncomfortable at all. The service was very good and it was overall a good meal."

  • "We did the bottomless brunch, were you choose an entree and get unlimited mimosas or bloody Mary's for $30 total (2 hours). Dissappointed coffee was not included in the deal, but was nice that the drinks were served in large carafes so you don't have to wait forever between refills. Lobster cakes were devine, partner had omelette which they were very disappointed with-not many add ins at all, only 2 cherry tomatoes diced in half. Overall would recommend."

  • "What's the point of making an online reservation and being stuck at a horrible table when the place is empty ?"
    Dined on 3/20/2014
  • "Excellent brunch, the staff was really great. They were a bit slow on the refills for the unlimited mimosas at first, but then they just brought us pitchers so it was fine then. It was a bit loud, but it is a small space with a big brunch crowd, so that is to be expected."

  • "Went for the 2 hour all you can drink mimosas/bloody marys brunch, and wasn't disappointed. The food, drinks and service were all great."

  • "Not great.....actually really bad! Service was awful and food marginal."

  • "The staff was overly accommodating, extending time for the unlimited brunch since we waited a a few extra minutes for our table. They also comped us a entire meal for our wait since the staff was clearly a but hectic which was so nice but unnecessary. The food was delicious and the mimosas were free flowing"

  • "the food is decent--standard brunch fare. the service is so slow and poor. we were a big group, but there were other big groups that ordered and got their food before we even got our coffee."

  • "The food portions were a bit smaller than I anticipated given their price, but tasty none the less (especially the caramel sauce that came with the pancakes). We enjoyed the unlimited mimosa deal with brunch."

  • "The food is good, moderately priced, and interesting. It is a comfortable neighborhood place. Our group has come here for several years for our holiday party( 8-13 attendees)."

  • "Great tasting food. Excellent brunch menu with unlimited mimosas and bloody Mary's. Perfect for groups. Easy and laid back. Think Central Perk from the tv show friends."

  • "A very nice spanish lady greeted us and walked us to our table. She took a lot of smoke breaks so we gave our drink orders to the bus boy who was happy to help. It took a while for her to return, but when we saw her we decided to quickly give her our starter order and entree order even though we were sure what to eat at that time. We quickly made a decision while she stood there. The food and presentation was great. Towards the end the lady began arguing with someone in the kitchen. We heard everything because she stayed arguing with the kitchen door open. They were arguing about when to close. She also began calling him very vulgar names in Spanish. I understood every word because I'm also Spanish. Don't think I'll go again."

  • "I wasn't feeling great so I wanted to order something simple (read scrambled eggs and toast) but was told in a rude manner that they don't do that. I then proceeded to see another couple be refused to sit where they wanted because it was reserved ( the place was 95% empty and stayed that way for an hour plus). Lastly, they were playing Disney cartoon songs from the 80s which drove us nuts. Don't go,you can do better."

  • "The name of the restaurant caught my attention as did the short walk across the street from our hotel, the King and Grove. The atmosphere reminded us of an English pub with a kicked up but reasonably priced menu. The Jim Beam whiskey seafood chowder was excellent as was the duck breast with mushrooms and cabbage. The duck was cooked perfectly. The green salad with overnight tomatoes and bacon was simple but tasty. The lamb was good but could have been cooked just a bit less and the pea-mint purée was not as flavorable as I had hoped. Not a deal breaker though. It was very comfortable, nice fireplace, friendly staff. We would dine here again."

  • "Service was definitely the best part of our visit to CK. We went during the holidays so a ton of groups were there for the $25 all you can drink brunch (we did the drink deal as well). We were seated next to the fire place which gave it a little more of an intimate feel. The food was decent, nothing to write home about but nothing to get upset about either. Our server was getting pulled all over the place and ended up bring a 3/4 bottle of champagne over to us and filled the rest with orange juice to make sure we never went without a drink - even though she was doing a good job of keeping the glasses filled!"

  • "a festive place for a holiday brunch, fireside. the pitchers of mimosas don't hurt either. it's a do-over"

  • "This place has a nice atmosphere and has very good service. The bread with olive oil and pesto were average at best. The pesto was not that flavorful. The Mac n Cheese appetizer with the smoked Gouda and bacon was to die for. The cheddar one was average. But worth it to get the Gouda! The duck was cooked well and tasted very good. Rack of lamb was requested medium but cooked rare. No dessert. Overall recommended!"

  • "It is a pity because the restaurant has such great potential. I should have suspected that there was going to be a problem when I went there at 1:00pm, at the height of the lunch hour and the restaurant was barely one quarter full. I made a reservation for 5 and no one in my party liked their food. One person didn't even eat hers. I ordered fish and chips. It had obviously been pre-cooked (who knows how long ago) and reheated--barely. The funny part is that it was still relatively uncooked in the center and un-eatable. Luckily I had activated charcoal tablets with me in the event of food poisioning."

  • "I will never go here again. Not only did we not get service but we were rudely looked over and treated like we were invisible. It is 2013 and we need to do better."

  • "Got there before the brunch rush on a Sunday and ordered the unlimited mimosa + meal. Had to beg for refills because as time passed the restaurant got more and more packed. Definitely not enough servers for the rush. I recommend getting an early reservation. Otherwise, food was standard brunch fare. No complaints but probably will not be returning. These brunch spots with "unlimited" booze are a dime a dozen, I'm off to find the next one that actually refills my glass."
