"If you like plush cushions and space between tables, this place is for you. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable with a hint of elegance. The food is upgraded pub food, and it is very solid. I had the chicken pot pie (very well done), and my lunch companions had the fish and chips (which she liked) and the chef salad (also liked), so we didn't venture too much from comfort food. Reasonably priced for lunch; we will be back."

"The food was OK, nothing special. The place looks like a rundown Irish pub in the middle of a grim block. I had seen a write up on the New York Magazine site which apparently had photos of the downtown location posted. Charming is the last word I'd use to describe this joint. I met the 18-year old daughter of a friend there for lunch. Had she not arrived and been seated before I did, I would not have stayed."

"Pros: Food was good, reasonably priced. Cons: Was seated next to the band that was playing live so it was hard to have a good conversation without screaming which made the experience less enjoyable. Server forgot our appetizer."

"We chose this place because I needed a spot in east midtown for a large party on a Saturday night that was well-priced (not that easy to find, and I should know because I am a food writer who owns a well-known guide.) Neither the food nor wine will win major awards - basically a pub with nice comfort food - but they do several things well. They are easy-going when it comes to the number in your party and flexible if you need to add or subtract headcount. There was no service charge so we tipped more because we appreciated the trust. And the table behind us had a baby with them and the restaurant seemed to make them comfortable yet managed to keep our party feeling appropriately grown-up. All around a pleasing, easy experience."
