The food was good but not out of this world amazing. I thought the appetizers were better than my meal. I ordered mushroom Florentine to start and the duck special as my entrée. The crepe dessert was good but not as good as I was expecting given that is their speciality. I was expecting a very romantic ambiance and it would have been if they hadn't seated me and my date right next to a family with small children who were a bit loud the entire time. The restaurant wasn't busy at all and I could see several other tables for 2 that were not right next to another group so I'm not sure why we were seated next to one of the only other tables with people at them. I wanted to ask to move but didn't want to be rude.

I was at the Creperie approx 10 yrs ago and remembered a favorable experience. This time, an experience I hope to forget soon. For starters, absolutely NOTHING had changed in 10 years. Same floral upholstery on the chairs, same decor of dry goods in jars on shelves surrounding each cubby hole of a table, same menu from what I can remember. However; one thing had changed. The waitress was new and very young. Early 20's at the most. She was pleasant enough, but not very knowledgeable of the menu and her wine serving skills were certainly lacking. She poured me the first taste of wine, which was fine because I ordered it; however, before waiting for me to taste she quickly poured for my boyfriend, and spilled while doing it. Food was subpar

The menu offers a good range of options. Each person at our table ordered a different crepe, and every one of them was great. The service was very good, the food was hot, the back ground music was not drowning us out. It was a very nice place to visit with our friends.

A birthday celebration turned into an incredible disappointment of food. The croustilles au fromage which were a favorite starter were served with an horrible sweetened dip rather than the garlicky tzaziki. The next course of french onion soup at $9.75 a serving came with the bowls half full, lacking onions, flavour and the crusty swiss and guyere cheese topping the Creperie was known for. The message was it was time to leave. The service was very attentive, friendly and efficient but not enough to convince me to return as I had the same experience with poor quality of food two weeks ago. I had been a regular since the Creperie's inception but under the new ownership, I will not bother to go back as it is a waste of my money.

it was my first time at the creperie. There is a reason why the restaurant has done as well as it has, but I found that I did not like the food that much. The appetizer (deep fried cheese crepe with yogurt dip) was fantastic, but I found the main course (ginger beef crepe with veggies and orzo rice) and dessert (vanilla ice cream wrapped in crepe with whipped cream and almonds) lacking. For a restaurant that focuses so heavily on French inspired cuisine I found the French part a little lacking. The overall ambiance was good but my fellow diners had to repeatedly send their drinks back as they were not up to par. I don't drink alcohol and enjoyed my mocktail (7-up, lime juice with grenadine). The service was ok, could have been better.

I made reservations for my husband and I for 8pm for just dessert. After the waiter finally came over, we said we wanted to have a couple of drinks and then dessert only. He said ok, left, and came back with dessert menus. He did not spend even a minute to talk to us about how we were, what the menu options were, etc. It took him forever to come back for our order. We finally get our dessert and I asked for coffee. My coffee came AFTER we had finished our food (which was very dry and chewy crepes). He did not ONCE ask us how anything was and if we needed anything more. This was our first time and we eat out a lot. We thought we'd give it a chance over Sabor and Melting Pot. We thoroughly regret giving The Creperie a chance!

We went for dinner with friends, we have been going occasionally for 20 years. My wife has food allergies which she has written out on a card for the restaurant. After she was assured that what she ordered was OK the entrée came out with some of her allergic foods clearly on the plate. The restaurant apologized and said they were just too busy to check the list even after the server reviewed it with the kitchen and came back to tell us that it would be OK for my wife to eat. We spent over 320 and my wife was not able to eat her meal and they gave us 2 $5 coupons

The Creperie has been a favourite dining location for me since I was a teenager. The boardwalk was always a unique place to visit and the atmosphere in the Creperie and the other restaurants along the walk provided a mix of family friendly, romantic and value for dollar experiences. Sadly the construction along the boardwalk and the changes in some of the other restaurants has taken away from the over all experience. The Creperie has wisely kept most of its original design and charm. The food quality and portion value is not the divine experience it was when Hans was running the kitchen but the staple dishes are still on the menu and it remains a favorite destination of mine for an adult (or young adult) evening.

Had always loved this restaurant. My son chose this restaurant for his birthday dinner and it was the a horrible experience. There were three tables and two servers ours being the largest at 5 guests. Our server did not smile, she did not fill our water glasses or wine glasses. She tried to rush us. The food was horrible the caesar salad to die for tasted like it came out of a bottle. The vegetables were over steamed and soggy. The crepe which I order all the time lacked in flavor, the tomatoes tasted like they came from a can. Dessert was okay. Before they would give you a gift certificate and a chocolate dipped crepe...nothing was given to my son for his special day. Will not be returning very sad since I have been going for 35 years!!!!

First time there and my boyfriend got the wrong plate and my duck was overcooked and tasted disgusting. The worst was the waitress was slow. Once she dropped off out entrees she never came back once to check on us. We even waited for the bill at the end and finally got up and told the hostess we needed to pay. Will never come back again. The place needs to take down those dividers.

The restaurant's front entrance is less than remarkable but that can be attributed to the ever so constant down town construction. So, after I got my date past the doors and into the restaurant, we were bombarded by such a romantic ambience. The food was delicious, it wasn't loud so you could talk to your date clearly but it felt like we were the only ones dining (however, we did go on a Thursday night which isn't a very busy night for many places) which isn't necessarily bad. Overall I'd say it's worth the money when you barely finish any of your dishes because of the generosity of food given. Absolutely outstanding restaurant plagued by Edmonton's construction which takes away from the exterior's beauty.

Little bit disappointed! It looks very worn down-they should do something about it if they want to stay in business. Secondly, the meal looked very plane, not that tasty. either .If they charge for the meal as much, as any fine dining restaurant, then they have to work on the quality of food, and the appearance, as well.

We were recommended this place for our wedding anniversary meal. I read some mix reviews so was a bit worried, but with the overall review come out trumps, so gave it a chance. Was perfect! The food was spectacular and the portions large too, the service was great too. Our waiter was polite, helpful and didn't hover or come over at inappropriate times. The atmosphere was great and I loved the way it had little nocks and areas sections off all over the dinning floor to make it more personal and cosy. I can see why it was voted "most romantic". I would highly recommend this place to anyone! I will say however, that I did not see disabled access which is a shame as I'd love to take my wheelchair bound mother.

We had a birthday party here and tried a wide variety of different dishes. Everyone was pleased with what they received. I did the three course deal which was a nice selection of soup or salad, dinner crepe and dessert crepe. All three were very tasty. Service was a bit slow but not too bad and could have been because we were a larger party. Would definitely recommend!

The "white wine sauce" tasted like it came from a package. And i ordered the peaches n cream drink, ya its just peach juice crystal mix and milk and ice. Peaches are in season?!! Why isnt it real peaches? Super gross.

Decor and menu were dated, food was slow to come out but was okay. Main problem was our Entertainment Book coupon- specifically states it can be redeemed on your smart phone or printed (I offered to print it for them, but apparently their printer was broken). An hour later, the owner walks up, totally giving us the impression that we are a major inconvenience- he didn't even greet us or ask what the problem was. His response "if i do this it's money out of my pocket." No apology, no trying to make the situation right, not even an attempt at understanding our frustration at booking a place because we had this coupon-nothing. And he walks away. I have never been treated so rudely in a restaurant in my life and will never go back there again.

Ordered BAKED CRAB, ARTICHOKE AND PARMESAN DIP - had no flavor (I tried salt) and was watery, as you would find with frozen food that has been defrosted. Then ordered the LAMB SHANK PROVENCALES - delicious, but the sauce was gelatinous, as if defrosted. Not what I would expect in this kind of restaurant. The waitress did her best, but a meal at this type/level of restaurant, should be the total package.

This was their first Fathers Day brunch. It was a good deal with a choice of appetizer and an entree for about $25, including a drink. Two of our group ended up ordering off the regular lunch menu as the choices on the brunch menu didn't appeal to them. Since this was their first brunch, I'm sure they are just learning what people would desire. My recommendation to them would be to think about those with lower fat needs as the two seafood crepes were very creamy so my dad got the jambalaya crepe. They were very accommodating though.

The filling for the savoury crepes were great but didn't like the crepes themselves. Was expecting a big selection of dessert crepes and was disappointed by ice cream filled crepes that were pre wrapped, it was awkward to eat the semi frozen crepe around the melting ice cream. Good thing we ordered our 1 years olds dinner when we ordered our drinks because the food took forever. The decor was out dated and dingy. The stairs leading in to the basement were uneven and unsteady. We booked our reservation online for 5pm but when we arrived they had us on their system for 715! I showed the hostess my emailed confirmation for 5 and they had to "see if they could fit us in" yet the whole time we were there less than 10 other tables were sat
