Diner Reviews
  • "Having enjoyed the Creek previously, we were interested in introducing it to friends. Partly because we were there early (6 pm) on a Monday night, it was quiet and easy to chat (and hear) across the table. Notice that is top priority to our group! The service is very attentive, and the food delicious. It is SO hard to choose from all their wonderful selections. The calamari lived up to its reputation, the "cheesecake" appetizer was also delicious. Our party enjoyed the lobster ravioli, the shrimp and grits, and the wonderful salmon. And wished we had room to try more entrees! Leave a little room for the desserts ~ just as hard to decide between them! All in all, a wonderful restaurant, 9 1/2 *s."

  • "Great, great service....that is where the good news stops. We decided to try someplace new for restaurant week. The shrimp in the appetizer and entree was b-l-a-n-d. Is it possible that it was purchased frozen from Sam's Club? Lobster ravioli was just okay, portion was small with only 3 ravioli on the plate. Dessert was the highlight, small portion to share. Both of us I'll that night--will NOT return!"

  • "This is one of the best restaurants I have been to ever! The food was fantastic and very different from most places. The service was fantastic and the restaurant itself was great! You should try this wonderful place out!"

  • "Had a great evening, very good and attentive service. Kelley, the manager, and George our server, both relatively new to this restaurant, but very experienced did a great job in helping make a very enjoyable evening."

  • "We had a great evening dining at The Creek. Food, service and the attitude of all we came in contact with were above expectations. There were four of us and each had a different entree and all were excellent. They seated us in the very small back room which was fine for us because it was quiet and we ended up the only party there. This area may be too confined for some but not us. Will not only go back but will also tell our friends to try this place."

  • "The artichokes with the crab ravioli made this item taste strongly of vinegar. I could not taste the crab meat which was ground into tiny pieces inside the ravioli. This item might be improved by removing half the artichokes and adding a couple more ravioli with some bigger pieces of crab meat. I should have sent it back to the kitchen. The price was too high for this very small lunch."

  • "We used to eat here when it was an Italian Restaurant, but stopped because the manager was rude and argumentative. We noticed that the name had changed, and figured we would give it a chance, and are we ever glad we did. We met the new manager, Kellen, who brought us a free glass of wine just because it was our first time in to the new place! From there things only got better. The caprese made with Colorado peaches was outstanding, and the shrimp & grits was the best my husband or I have ever had. The service was was outstanding, and the place had a lively vibe. We are so glad this little neighborhood restaurant got rid of the rude manager, and replaced her with someone who is friendly and warm. We can't wait to come back."

  • "So very disappointed in menu selections...so limited compared to previous owner's selections. Specials were also limited with minimal fish selections. Would not go back or recommend to anyone. New staff, loved the old."

  • "We went for dinner, but ended ordering only from the appetizer menu. Every dish was superb. We had Peach Caprese, beets with feta, house salad with honey balsamic, the mussels, and the squid. It was all delicious."

  • "We have been going here for years and have never been disappointed. The menu is limited, but the focus is on quality. I always order that day's special because I know the fish is fresh. The calamari appetizer (not fried) was served in a wonderful broth with capers. The service was not rushed, and the wait staff was very friendly. Although not inexpensive, it is nice to have a locally owned restaurant that is trying to make every dining experience memorable."

  • "So glad we found this place! Have been searching for places to get good seafood (outside of the house). The lobster tacos are AMAZING; highly recommended! The cocktails are quite tasty and artfully crafted. The entire waitstaff was friendly and helpful; our waiter was quite patient with our inability to decide on options (so much deliciousness to choose from the menu!). Will definitely be returning!"

  • "Cute little Restaurant with great service and even better food. Both my wife and I were amazed at how well the food looked and tasted. It was nice when the chef came out to ask how everything was to pass these comments along to him personally. There's no doubt in our minds that we'll be coming back to this restaurant."

  • "We liked the food, it was a nice touch having one of the chefs deliver some of the food to the table. But $33 for 4 scallops and a couple of crab ravioli is a bit pricey. The lobster tacos are very good. The Hawaiian Prawns were also very good, but hard to each because the shells were burnt onto the meat and hard to remove."

  • "The 'Creek' is our favorite go-to restaurant in the DTC area year-round. Be aware that their summer menu is shortened a bit, very smart, I think since summer diners can be a bit if-fy at times. Had the best ever ruby red trout and all their fish and seafood is always the very freshest and prepared perfectly."

  • "We ate here Saturday night & ordered the Ono, but it was overcooked...very dry. We let our server know & the chef came out promptly & gave us the option of ordering the same dish or another special. We decided on the salmon...delicious! Not every chef would do that & we were really impressed with the service. Will definitely go back. Oh, the mussels are amazing! On a side note, we've eaten at this restaurant about five times & the food is always great!"

  • "The menu had a very limited selection and the food was certainly nothing special, and especially not good value for the price. I think the salad greens were probably from a package that came directly from the Safeway next door. The wine pour was meager at best and although the service was efficient I would characterize it as abrupt and unwelcoming. The "music" playing in the background was certainly inappropriate for an establishment that seems to want to price its meals as like in an upscale establishment. Would you believe country rock played by a local am radio station! Give me a break! If I wanted to hear that while dining I'd go to a bar-b-que joint with peanut shells on the floor and not spend $33 for four meager scallops."

  • "We have eaten here several times and it is consistently great! The chef does wonderful things with fish. We had the Blue Fin Tuna special with a very nice Pinot Noir. The tuna was seared perfectly and the tastes of the dish were outstanding. Adam, our server, recommended a new drink that my wife truely enjoyed. Can't wait to go back!"

  • "This re-branded spot has stepped it up a notch. Food is better and fresher. In the past there have been signs of "portion control" as in 30 bucks for a 4 ounce piece of frozen salmon? This visit was much improved. Delicious fresh trout, great lamb, good sides. If they keep up the improvements we will add them back into our rotation. Must admit though the wine list is still in need of work!"

  • "We have been going to this restaurant for years, even though a bit pricey for our budget. Were very disappointed. Happy hour was eliminated on Saturdays. I was looking forward to the sea bass on the menu online, but their "summer menu" had just begun and the prices were increased 15-20%! Their specials used to be in the mid $20 range, but all 3 were $33! They did add a soup or salad choice included with the entrees, but the salad was embarrassingly miniscule! The entrees were also decreased in size and I received no vegetables at all so my dish was very bland looking. The service was average, but the ambiance of past times is almost non existent. We will not return after patronizing this place for years. It is now priced out of our budget."

  • "The Creek Seafood Grill started out as Saffron over ten years ago. Saffron was good. Then, they changed the name to Pesce Fresco, and that was also good. Recently, the name changed to The Creek. Unfortunately, the name was not the only thing that changed. The warm decor is now a blend of bland colors with various chachkis and fake twigs scattered on the walls. There was no tablecloths or flowers on the table--just a small salt and pepper shaker. Overall, a cold vibe. The restaurant was nearly empty, yet service could have been more attentive. The food quality also has suffered. The salmon was a well done frozen portion (waiter said it would be medium). When I asked for it to be medium, the re-do portion was raw inside. I will not be back."

  • "We celebrated Father's Day dinner at The Creek. Coming in as a Pesce Fresco fan we tried not to make comparisons. The food we ordered was tasty and well prepared with unexpected ingredient pairing. We were surprised with a 50% of my husband's meal for Father's Day - nice touch! Downside: Our waiter struggled to attend to his tables. It seemed that the patrons that came in were more important than the ones requesting service. Frustrating."

  • "We are regulars there because the food is so good - and everyone is so friendly! We especially love Friday nights when they have live music. When the weather is warm enough, the bar opens onto the patio which is really nice!"

  • "The food was fabulous and the service was awesome. A great off the beaten path place to take your wife or girlfriend. A great family place as well. The wait staff were kind and courteous."

  • "Service was outstanding, but the food was not so much! Scallops and salads were very good, but that Dover Sole needs work. Mine was cold when I got it and many of the clams didn't open. The potatoes were under-done too. Not too keen on the reduced summer menu either!"

  • "Have eaten at this restaurant many times over the years. The quality and service is worse with each visit. Recently ordered the salmon with red quinoa - tasted bitter and burned. One of the worst meals I've had in a long time. I will NEVER eat at this restaurant again. Save your money, go to Venice."
