Recently went here for dinner with friends after catching a show at DCPA. Very conveniently located directly across the street in the Curtis Hotel, so it's perfect for before/after events. The four of us all had something different, and I'm sure I would have been happy with any of them. Everyone liked what they had, and prices were reasonable for downtown Denver. We'll certainly be back!

The food here isn't BAD, it just isn't great. I had the salmon "large plate" for an entree and the piece of salmon was about the size of one of those vacuum packed hunks of smoked salmon you'd find in the deli case. The accompanying slaw was lukewarm and wilted, as was an accompanying pancake ... and I'm really not sure what the ingredients were in it. The poutine appetizer was tasty and the pasta bolognese that my husband ordered was also lukewarm and the pasta itself was overdone. On the plus side, The Corner Office is very convenient to the DCPA and the service is swift. The bar area was packed and the cocktails looked good, so maybe your best bet here is for cocktails and apps, not dinner.

This restaurant is very conveniently located near the performing arts complex in Denver, and that appears to be its best feature. I had high hopes after reading others' positive reviews and eclectic menu options, but the actual food, at least on the Tuesday night I was there, did not live up to the hype. The service was friendly and adequate but not particularly attentive. I may go back next time I am seeing a show, but my expectations will be moderated somewhat from this experience.

  • Menu Changes Are Very Disappointing
    OpenTable Diner Since 2007
    Dined on 11/15/2014
TCO has been my go-to restaurant for many years but no longer. The most recent menu changes are very disappointing. There is nothing special on the menu that will keep me coming back like the seafood risotto and shrimp and grits of the past. Service is always great but not the new menu. It is dull and ordinary. I will start my search for someplace special in downtown Denver. I asked my server to share my comments with the chef and no one came out to talk to me afterwards and that really signals that they - the chef or the manager - does not really care about the customers. Too bad.

Corner Office was a decent experience. The food was described as a "world" menu. It was more asian than whole world. The food was decent. It had more of a spicy kick than we anticipated for what we ordered. The lamb skewer appetizer was very good. We were seated at a table for two in what felt like the hallway (even though we had an Open Table reservation). We asked if we could be moved to a table for two we saw empty by the window and were told all the tables were already reserved. In the hour and a half we were there for dinner, nobody was seated at the table by the window. This is a decent option very convenient to the Denver Performing Arts Center.

Come here often after or before performances at the Performing Arts Center. Their ever-changing drink menu is fun and the food is delicious. Staff is attentive and friendly without being invasive. The foot traffic from the hotel is rather annoying, but tolerable. One of my favorite places!

I was skeptical about a hotel restaurant, but the menu selections were unique and delightful at The Corner Office. We LOVED everything we ordered, and our server was knowledgeable, friendly and right on time with everything we needed. The desserts are DIVINE! The best part is that compared to all of the other restaurants within walking distance of DCPA, the prices are so reasonable. We are DEFINITELY going back!

However shellfish may be incorporated in some items and it's not listed on the menu, if you have shell fish allergies make sure you let them know and ask if it's included in the item ordered,

We were very disappointed with the brunch menu. It was not vegetarian friendly and the new menu is awful. We asked for something simple (hummus) from the "old Menu and were told we could not order it during brunch. The only thing we could choose as a vegetarian option was fried pickles and a 7 dollar biscuit! Friends we dined with who were not vegetarian did not find the duck entrees' and duck gray appealing either. We used to love to go to The Corner Office before the ballet for brunch. We will not return with this menu.

We have been here several times. This experience was just ok. My husband ordered 2 appetizers and asked that they were brought out with my entree- that didn't happen. I waited 10 minutes for the salmon. The corm fritters were cold and when I requested new ones, it never happened. Our waitress Erin brought the manager over which we appreciated. He comped my meal and apologized for the disappointment. We will go back and hopefully it will be better.

The food was decent however the service by our waitress was poor. While having a hard time deciding what to order, she was not friendly or helpful. Their breakfast items are a bit different than what I expected. After dining, we found out there was a buffet....which was not mentioned by the waitress at all. When ordering the mimosa bar, she never went over juice options and when we ordered the 2nd one, she took our unfinished drink from the table. Will not go back.

This is a great restaurant if you are going to the DCPA's! It is right across the street. The food is great, a twist on a lot of favorites. Fun, healthy choices. The salmon entrée and the Sesame Chicken are delicious. My husband had the steak and he loved it. The vibe is fun but totally kid friendly, we had ours and another table had theirs, we were in the restaurant side, not the bar side. The bar is trendy and cozy! The prices are just right for the location.

The Corner Office Restaurant and Martini Bar is located across the street from the Denver Performing Arts Center. The location is reason enough to try it if you are attending a performance, but the food and drink seal the deal. They describe their food as international comfort food, and I agree based on their menu. Very enjoyable dining experience. But, it is the wait staff that makes the biggest difference. They were very attentive, and made us feel welcome.

Very convenient location before theatre night. Great martinis, excellent ciabatta. Some of the dishes are very tasty, in general ingredients are carefully selected. On the flip side, somehow this interpretation of fusion food yields dishes with twists that do not really add anything to the overall experience and better be left out. Lots of different tastes and textures are present on the plates, however they do not form a harmonic dish and the results are pretty unimpressive.

Chose this spot for its close proximity to DPAC and tasty menu. Service was friendly and decent overall but inconsistent with attention spurts and long waits. Had to refine my bill with the manager, but nothing was overall bad. Kids love the cherry pink cotton candy treat with their brunch. Fries are yummy. Quiche of the day was tasty. bacon was overdone, too crumbly. Atmosphere there can't decide what it wants to be.

Except for one item I would give it a high rating. Staff were attentive and friendly. Atmosphere was fun. Food was good but you know when you start off with something that's not what you expected, it taints the rest of the experience? We ordered the mussels as an appetizer. Generous portion but every mussel had sand or grit in it. I kept trying to eat it but gave up after several attempts. And the feeling/memory of sand in my teeth took away from the rest of the meal. Otherwise I think it was a great restaurant and will return again. I just won't order the mussels.

The Corner Office is a great place for a drink before a show at the Theater. The atmosphere is great and the patrons were very hip. Vibrant colors and modern furnishings a throughout the bar and restaurant. Several folks were at the bar for happy hour and several were having a drink before dinner or before going to a show. The food was good. The salmon on the plank was a little over done to my taste but everything else was perfect. The food overall was delicious!

I met a high school classmate I hadn't seen for many years there before we went to a Broadway play at DCPA. Our server was good, friendly etc at first then disappeared even with an empty glass of wine on the table. She apologized and did seem busy so have more waitstaff please if that is going to happen. The food was overpriced and ok/not great (sesame chicken was a very small portion and korean beef I might try again). Overall, it was a convenient spot for a quick meal before the show but I'll stick to going there for drinks after events or appetizers/happy hour in the future. One big flag for others is that if you park in the parking lot under the restaurant it will cost a whopping $21.

Love it's convenience to the Denver Center for Performing Arts (right across the street) and the car validation discount for parking in the restaurants garage. Atmosphere is very vibrant and can get a little too loud at times but for the most part, it's a great place for before and after theater performances. Definitely will return.
