Ate here twice last week with different parties. Food is delicious but breakfast menu is very limited and both sets of friends were disappointed that there was not at least a basic eggs and bacon option other than in a sandwich and no pancake or waffle option either. Handpies and chicken pot pies are nearly perfect though! Lunch prices are same as dinner, don't go expecting to lunch cheaply.

Great place with great people working there, It was odd though.... I made an Open table reservation about an hour before showing up. Yes I admit it was last minute but my plans had changed. When I arrived they indicated that they couldn't honor my reservation because their computer wouldn't allow them to acknowledge it.... I was a bit confused and a tad annoyed. After an awkward period she looked around and found us a slightly cramped space at the bar near their busing station. I'm pretty laid back so I'm usually accommodating to the ebbs and flows of the restaurant world. The bar staff and other wait staff that saw our situation were extremely gracious and helpful and really it worked out splendidly. The food was exceptional, and the coffee was superb. I think it was just one of those days. I will be back soon, so I guess that's the best tell of the overall experience.

Really enjoyed dinner at the Copper Hen. Lots of vegetarian options, the beer was great, and the service was wonderful. We will be back.

This was my third time eating at the Copper Hen and each time, I leave thinking that the place has possibilities but the staff isn't quite making it work. Service is very uneven, menu small. On this most recent visit, the host described the specials of the day and then the server informed us that they were out of it. They were also out of 4 other items from the (smallish) menu. The food was pretty good overall. The chicken pot pie was delicious but the portion is very small - shallow dish means very little pie under the crust. The cheese plate was wonderful, the burger tasty, but small. Pizza - meh. The cupcakes were in an open display and there were flies crawling on them. So, yuck. Dirty bathrooms on all three visits. Very loud!

Honestly we didn't put a lot of research into this restaurant. We had a group of ten on short notice and they had space available. We saw that it was farm to table and we didn't look any further. We assumed we would be able to get steaks but none of the menu. Most had burgers and they came out cold. Two of us had lamb goulash which was excellent but the pasta it was served on was cold.

Everything about the Copper Hen seemed to balance with everything else. The decor was beautiful and simple, as was the menu, as was the service. I felt very relaxed and happy here--the host and server didn't pester, the noise level was just above a hum, the lighting was soft but not too dim, and the portions were just the right size. It was very Goldylocks :) I'll definitely be coming back.

Brand new restaurant run with loving care by a husband and wife. The husband took Greta care of us, and the wife stopped by. Our pizza and salad were delicious, and so were were the cupcakes! We brought home a loaf of milk and honey bread, which improved our breakfasts all weekend.
