"Certainly one of the finest restaurants in Santa Fe. The sweetbreads and foie gras are to die for. The steak tartar and oysters are wonderful. If you are on a diet, try two of the wonderful appetizers and a home made sherbet for dessert."

"We were there celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. The staff helped make it a very special evening. The service was very attentive without interrupting our conversation and exchange of gifts. Our waiter Jack did a wonderful job."

"While our history with the Compound has always been one of memorable
dining, this time was different. We wondered is this the chef's night off? After we studied the menu carefully-after being told of the short-rib special, we each ordered. Two of us ordered the swordfish special with a tapenade-only then were we informed they were out of swordfish, but that cod had been substituted with the same tapenade . We should have know better/ but said ok. The cod was a very poor choice having neither the texture nor the flavor of swordfish. Beef tips were great. But my buttermilk chicken - a signature dish-was ok , but not special and a bit overbooked. Finally our waitstaff was rather supercilious, the waiter seemed preoccupied."
