  • "FOOD: PRICED way HIGH! Brussels sprouts were half and whole sprouts (menu said sliced) and very hard (flavor was very good). Whiskey Burger was not seasoned well. No Salt & Pepper on the table. Veggie Hash was not seasoned well. Mushrooms seemed old in the Veggie Hash. NOISE: The noise level at 6:30 PM was horribly loud. Noise was many decibels higher than say a Red Robbin. We could not have a conversation even at the little table by the back door. We might (MAYBE) try to stop in for lunch another time, or not! Management appeared to be concerned about cleanliness. Staff were cleaning tables and sweeping the floor after customers left, rather than just letting the food pile up under the table, as a lot of eateries do."

  • "Food was pretty good; I had a burger and my wife had the shrimp tacos. Both kids (5 & 9) ordered off of the kids menu and enjoyed their food, too. Fresh squeezed lemonade was a real treat; not to sweet, not too tart. But, just be prepared for slow service."

  • "We had seen a review for this restaurant on the PBS show "CheckPlease" and were excited to have a new restaurant to try in Woodinville. We had reservations and only had to wait 10 minutes to be seated, but after ordering we waited over 30 minutes for the food to arrive. We were hosting guests from Florida and were unable to converse, the noise level was so high. We noticed people arriving after us at a nearby table had received their order so after 30 or 40 minutes I asked our waitress to check on our order. We had ordered vegetarian scramble (which had been raved about on the tv review) Though the portion was huge, it was bland and disappointing, not worth the long wait."

  • "The Commons has great potential: location, menu, bar selection, and vibe. The service was disappointing, my pear & goat cheese salad lacked 'pears', and the indoor dining was very noisy. I'm sure it was an off day, and I will definitely give them a second chance in the near future."

  • "My hanger steak & eggs was great, and the mimosa flight divine. My friend ordered a burger, which did not come out of the kitchen as ordered (both egg & burger were over cooked). They took it away, and offered a pastry in the interim, which was a lovely offer. The 2nd burger came out over cooked as well (benefit of the doubt on the patty because we didn't expect that our waitress had x-ray vision, but the sunny-side egg coming out hard fried should have been a clue), but my friend was too hungry to wait for another. They took the burger off the ticket, which felt fair, and we tipped generously because everyone has an off day now & again. We'll be back, but we probably won't order another burger. ;-) Luckily, there are so many other choices!"

  • "This was our second trip to the restaurant. We returned because the food was outstanding and we were looking forward to trying some more of the menu items. Food continued to be outstanding but the noise in the dining room was deafening. Almost to the painful level. There was no way to carry on a conversation with person across from you without being on verge of yelling. Food is great - Extremely noisy."

  • "We recently had a family birthday dinner there. Reservations were for 5:15 on Saturday evening. Table was ready. Service and food was excellent, even two desserts. Noise level is high, if weather permits I'd suggest outside dining. I've eaten here 3 times so food and service out weigh noise level. Just be aware. "

  • "Friendly hostess seated us promptly. Wait staff was attentive, friendly and well versed with menu. Started off with brussels sprouts and squash soup. Sprouts were mixed with bacon and maple syrup I've had better served shredded which removes the chewy part which was left in here adding bitterness. The squash soup was tasty which I finished before I dove into my lamb tacos. Tacos were yummy just right amount of sauce and not overly spicy. My friend had the chicken pot pie and loved the deconstruction, nice flat my biscuit. We shared an espresso salted Carmel which melted deliciously in our mouths. "

  • "I enjoy the location, when my food order is taken correctly the food is awesome, the scene is urban and fun but what pulls down my experience over and over is the service. The servers are friendly but appear overwhelmed, do not actively listen and are consumed more with one another than service when they do have a free moment. Mistakes happen, all to often, so I have great understanding since I am a manager in the food industry but the issue is behavioral based around accuracy, speed and anticipation toward customers. I will keep going because the environment but not sure for how long if nothing changes. "

  • "Another place found through OpenTable, we went on Mother's day. Even though the place was packed, our table was waiting. The Commons had a rustic, country feel. The menu choices were a cut above the general ambience. We shared a Strawberry and Goat Cheese salad and a Salmon dinner (Mom's Day special?). In spite of the crowd, service was good and the waitress pleasant. I didn't check "kid-friendly" because I didn't see much on the menu for kids (there may have been a separate menu), but there were several tables with young children. Parking was tight (Mom's day and at least two other restaurants sharing parking)."

  • "We enjoyed a very nice brunch for Mothers Day at The Commons. The restaurant was very busy but we were immediately seated and greeted by our server. We enjoyed Bloody Mary's and Champagne/Peach cocktails. Did not feel rushed and ordered brunch. The food came promptly and was delicious, and the portion size was generous. I really enjoyed their Veggie Scramble and others enjoyed their selection equally. We've eaten at The Commons for lunch and dinner in the past month and have enjoyed every meal. "

  • "We've been to The Commons for both breakfast and lunch now. We do need to try it for dinner. It's on our list because we haven't been disappointed yet. We made reservations for Mother's Day with a Mom friend of ours who didn't have her daughter with her. The Breakfast Burrito was a favorite at our table and I'm a fan of the coffee. I always get the Theo Mocha. It's always good service and good food!"

  • "We went for Restaurant Week but ended up just ordering from the regular menu. The prices are so reasonable that the Restaurant Week offering wasn't much of a "deal". Sharing an appetizer (the pear/goat cheese bruschetta - yum) and each getting an entree we had plenty to eat. The desserts looked great but we decided to save the calories."

  • "For our first time at this restaurant, we booked a lunch reservation on OpenTable for Seattle Restaurant Week. When we arrived, they didn't have our reservation, but no matter - the manager apologized and seated us right away even though it was extremely busy. Next, when I asked the waitress about the Restaurant Week menu, and she said she thought they were only offering it for dinner, but when I told her OpenTable showed them offering it for lunch also, she went back to the manager and got the menu for us with no further questions. As for the food: my boyfriend said the grilled cheese was the best he's EVER had, and the pretzel bun on my ham and cheese sandwich was divine. Expect this place to be busy and parking tricky, but worth it."

  • "I love this place!!:) This was the second time I had been to The Commons. I made Sunday reservations for 10:30am and we were seated RIGHT AWAY. My friend and I were seated at this cute little table for two by the window, a great spot to people watch inside and out. Such a cute and unique atmosphere. I have only tried their breakfast biscuits, but everything I have seen looks delicious. I definitely recommend this spot anyone looking for something casual and fresh. Enjoy!"

  • "I was pleasantly surprised to find this place on the eastside- outside of Bellevue! After five years of living in Seattle, moving to the northern Eastside was a bit of a shock for my palate. I'm happy to report that fresh, locally sourced food that is made with care and pride can be found at The Commons! They make just about everything from scratch- baked goods, granolas, all ingredients in their entrees, their own chicken sausage- even their own syrups for lattes! The place feels comfortable yet clean, modern and bright. Our server was excellent! She made sure we never needed a thing without intruding on our brunch or being over baring. Finally- good food on the Eastside. This is my new go-to spot! Can't wait to go back!"

  • "This is a nice local place in Woodinville for a relatively quick meal or snack or small plate. We were on our way to a movie and the server graciously accommodated our time frame. We've eaten here previously and never been disappointed. Breads and pastries are in-house made and wonderful. Servers are always very attentive and friendly. Restaurant is a little on the noisy side."

  • "Set a reservation for my boyfriend's birthday on March 29th, and it was for a surprise party with his family. The girls at the front didn't say anything to the effect that it was a surprise and I was kind of worried that they might, but they were great. He had the veggie mash for dinner, I wasn't impressed. It was pretty bland but he ordered it, so that was on him. Our server was on top of everything even though it was very busy. Great experience."
