The Colosseum RestaurantNot what I had hopedThe meal lacked flavor. I had Chicken Francese. This is my favorite dish and I tend to have it at all restaurants. There was plenty, but not flavorfull. I took the leftover home, doctored it up with a quick butter, flour and wine sauce added and it was good. On every occasion we have not been disappointed. The food and service were all excellent. This place was recommended to me by several locals and I must admit that I was very pleased. I will be dining there again when I'm in the area. The food was very good and I could not find any fault in the service. My family and I grew up going to the Colosseum so I already knew it was fantastic.However it had been about 20 years since I had been and was curious to know if it was still as delicious.Knowing that Anaballe was still the owner I was confident it would be a wonderful experience.We enjoyed two bottles of wine, an appetizer, entrees and dessert. The waiter was professional yet had a sense of humor. The food was delectable. My only recommendation would be to put more flavor and stuffing into the stuffed mushrooms and I wasn't used to Tiramasu being so thin and runny with cookie stuck in the center.
