We were upstairs and found the setting to be perfect for a leisurely visit. I had the seafood salad and the soup of the day (seafood soup). I would have had plenty to eat with just the salad. though, I would go back in a heart beat for Mother's Day and we will next year. I've already spread the word as well with all the
baseball teams that we played for the 3 days after Mother's Day. Super. Nothing needs to be changed or added as far as I'm concerned too. Just perfect. Oh, and the complimentary family picture? They gave us an excellent table (on the side as requested) in a room that was a little quieter than others, which was nice. The service was great: our server was helpful but not intrusive. He recommended the featured drink, a berry mojito, which was delicious. Our meals were delectable as well: I ordered the lobster risotto and my husband had the fish special. He also had the lobster bisque, which is "not to be missed." Our only disappointment was my Caesar salad: the lettuce was yellowed and the croutons were hard. We also saw the dessert tray, which was filled with mouthwatering offerings that were big enough to share.
We had a very nice time and definitely will be back.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day Brunch DelightMommy Day brunches normally require that you participate in the brunch only, meaning no other menu items are available. The Clubhouse was no exception. They provided an impressive buffet-style assortment of breakfast and lunch type foods and topped it off with the most delicious dessert bar ever which included a chocolate fountain. The chocolate mousse and chocolate covered strawberries made for chocolate heaven. I've seen better food layouts but the service was great and my Mom was very happy to also receive a free Clubhouse printed photo of our group.
I visit the Clubhouse frequently and always have A+ service. If you're there on a normal/ordinary day, please order the sweet ginger chilli calamari. I've been a Valued Member clientele for a number of years and the perk is one of the best in the restaurant business. It usually is quite persuasive in getting my wife and I to make a reservation posthaste since to secure the credit one must use it (or lose it) during one's birthday month.
We used my birthday credit this past Saturday and thus were able to procure a quite drinkable bottle of Penfolds Thomas Hyland Shiraz, circa 2010, which was sublime. Dinner was amazing. We started with an appetizer, crab cake. The only problem...we should have ordered two. The sauce went very well with it. We both ordered a Mai Tai. It was perfect, her's was actually too perfect. Never have we been out and had to ask for a bit more juice to be added. So this is THE spot for drinks!
I ordered steak and potatoes and she had the stacked meatloaf. It was so much food, but we finished it for breakfast!
