"Clinton House has had a long, well deserved reputation for quality food, nicely served at moderate price. The wide and varied menu is enhanced by daily special dishes. We Pennsylvanians go there to dine with friends from NY, a convenient meeting place that permits us to have a leisurely lunch without any sense of being rushed.

Its size would certainly permit large tables of diners without disturbing smaller groups. The long bar is attractive as is the colonial decor in all rooms."

"The steak was excellent and would make me go back just for that. The service was very good and the variety of choice on the menu was excellent. The deserts are all prepared fresh on premises and are excellent - just too big for me! I would definitely recommend the Clinton house for small and large party dining. I didn't go into the bar area but it looked very busy."

"The Restaurant itself is historic & romantic. We sat by a beautiful fire, but unfortunately the servers lean their tray stands against it, so it blocks the view. The food we was ok at best. We consider ourselves foodies, so based on other reviews were looking forward to eating there. The baked brie appetizer was a disappointment. It was coated in some odd breading, which was too well done which overpowered & took away from the cheese. We also do not recommend the Beef Wellington -it was not only very bland, but the meat was stringy & very much overcooked. (we ordered medium and received well done - almost seemed "heated up"). However, someone in our group had the Crab Au Gratin & enjoyed it very much. So perhaps its a gamble."

"My partner & I celebrated our 22nd anniversary, with dinner at the Clinton House. I couldn't have asked for better food or service. At the end of the meal, I commented to our server that we were celebrating 22 years together. She disappeared for a few minutes, then came back with a beautiful dessert for us. We most assuredly will return & have already told many friends about the Clinton House."
