My wife and I enjoyed the food and service for a special occasion meal on 10/20, but halfway through the meal the noisy bar crowd served to ruin the ambiance. Count us among those who still like the Circular, but loved and miss the Circular Dining Room.

My boyfriend and I came to eat dinner here on our first night staying at the Hotel Hershey. We both got filet mignon cooked rare, and it was delicious! I had a blackberry spritzer to drink which I personally found way too sweet. The staff took it off of our bill because I didn't drink it, and even offered to make me a new one, which was very nice of them. I had the S'more souffle for dessert and it was absolutely divine. Best desert I've had in a long time, and even though I ordered it at the end of our meal, my wait for it was minimal, which was a nice surprise. They even had a beautiful chocolate show piece on the bar which I loved.

This was hands down one of the best meals my husband and I have ever had. We've been to the Circular's Sunday brunch previously, but never dinner. Every single dish was perfectly made and deeply satisfying. I had to make my husband stop talking when I tasted his hanger steak because I just wanted to enjoy it melting in my mouth. We were celebrating my birthday, and the waitress did many "extra" treats like chocolate covered strawberries and salted caramels to make it a special birthday treat. We will be returning every year for this occasion!

Our only disappoint with this restaurant is that they did not offer any desserts made with chocolate--something we assumed we would find at the Hotel Hershey. We had to go the bakery at Chocolate World to satisfy our cravings. Surprising and disappointing, but other than that, our dining experience was very good.

We were celebrating a birthday, the staff took extra care to make it special. Food was described well, Patti was most capable regarding all our questions. The ladies had eaten a few snacks in our room , no fuss made as we ordered 3 entrees for the 5 of us. Each item we had was prepared excellently, served at correct temperature, and was absolutely delicious! Presentation was beautiful, it matched the sleek elegance of the room. The tab was most fair as well. Patti picked up on the group being lighthearted having fun and joined right in. She knew we had been to spa and asked about our day, that was wonderful and in the beginning acknowledged I had made the reservation.

The Circular at the Hotel Hershey is an elegant yet comfortable restaurant. The wait staff and service were excellent. However, the brunch buffet was only average in terms of food quality...a good selection of choices were offered but the quality was a bit disappointing as we had expected a slightly higher standard from the hotel's flagship restaurant. The buffet had some excellent cold salads and a truly wonderful dessert selection to choose from. No crepes, waffles or pancakes were available; seafood choices were adequate and the steamed clams were delicious. The carving station prime rib was overdone but still flavorful. Cocktail prices were quite high. Enjoyable but would probably not do the brunch again.

my boyfriend and I dined at the circular for our 5 year anniversary dinner and we were not disappointed. Everything was wonderful and our waitress,Terri did an amazing job. She was constantly checking on us and making sure we didn't need anything else. She also had a lot of knowledge on the whole menu as she told us she had tried every dish on the menu if we needed help deciding. I can't wait to return for another dinner or try their brunch sometime.

I had the breakfast buffet years ago, but had never tried the lunch buffet. It was great! A huge selection of foods: cheese platters, salads, pastas, vegetables, pilafs, soup, meats, fish and a huge array of desserts. Even the fresh-brewed iced tea was delicious. The wait staff was incredibly attentive. Cleared our plates as soon as we finished a round (of course we went for seconds and thirds and...) and kept our glasses full and silverware replenished. I saw other reviews where people complained of guests' attire or children or noise levels and I witnessed none of this (although I have no problem with children eating in a restaurant anyway). My friend and I each drove 2 1/2 hours to meet here and we plan to make it a tradition.

We went remembering the restaurant as it was before the renovation. The remodeling is excellent. Beautiful atmosphere. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Great bottle of wine suggested by the sommelier. Food however was awful. We ordered the lobster deviled eggs at the servers suggestion. They were dry and flavorless. Another of the three couples ordered the cocoa scallops and they were delicious. Three of us ordered the prime rib. Simply put, it was the WORST prime rib we have ever had. There was no flavor. Even the sauces could not help this tough, chewy piece of meat. If you fail at prime rib can there be any redemption? Dessert was ok. We left more on the plate than we ate. It was too heavy. Needless to say, we will not go back.

Food was delicious and service was prompt. Would have prefererred a seat near the window, but very cozy. I prefer my hot foods served a little warmer in temperature, but still good quality. The wait staff and servers were outstanding, and made you feel special. Proud to bring my family to the Hotel for a nice brunch. Hope to book a spa package in the future.

Part of me still likes the old circular dining room with the beautiful ceiling as well as the China. I do realize progress happens and I have to say the food is excellent, the service is wonderful, and Ray the somelier is absolutely fantastic and extremely helpful! The filet mignon is excellent and actually does not need any of the sauces that they offer.

Title says it all. We loved the scallope appetizer. After that it went down hill. My hamburger was sent back asked for medium well, recieved medium rare was told by an employee that she had an argument with the grill chef about it, did not like the smoky flavor of the burger. My husband's salmon was bland. I asked about their apple bread pudding if there are any raisins, if yes are they black or golden raisins. She told me that there is a 20% chance there are red raisins. Red raisins, I wonder if she meant cranraisins. So of course no dessert, but ordered cappuccinos, they were watered down. Awful experience and I live in Hershey, will never go there again.

What a disappointment. Went here for a special birthday dinner looking for a romantic atmosphere. Lights need to be dimmed, waaay too bright - ruins the atmosphere. Server was excellent, but the food SUCKED. Ordered the ahi tuna special "medium", it came medium rare & I sent it back. The chef kindly microwaved it for me & it came back a dry, tasteless, nasty lump of overpriced tuna. My husband's NY strip was also ordered medium & came med rare but he chose to eat it. Said it was the first tasteless steak he has ever had in his life. Ordered two a la carte sides (nothing is included with the grill items) at $6.00 each. Both sounded good - asparagus (which was good) and twice baked potato with cheddar cheese. It was a disgrace.

This is a fine old gem in the area that has been recently remodeled. It is now a bit less formal and modern. The food was very good, I had pork tenderloin, my wife had rack of lamb. The service is outstanding, in fact, it may have been a bit overboard. Someone asked us if everything was satisfactory at least four times. It is rather pricey, expect to drop at least $100 for two if you each have a drink. After dinner we strolled up to the patio and sat by the gas fire-pit and had a conversation with some folks from California. All in all, it was a delightful evening.

It was my first visit to the Hershey Hotel this weekend and we really enjoyed eating at the Circular. Nicely designed, we had a small wait at the "greet and seat" box for some reason, and a small wait to be seated once we did arrive. When we were seated we were seated beside a large group - including kids. They were not too loud initially but then the kids started running around and it got crazy for a while - however I would imagine this was an exception. Service was good - not overbearing or too familiar - just about right. Food was good. We had a couple of seafood appetizers - then for main course my wife had lobster and I enjoyed a rack of lamb. There was a nice treat with the lamb - they included a nice filo parcel of lamb shank too.

Still don't really understand the need for the Hotel Hershey to go to casual in the Circular Dining Room to attract dining guests, especially since there are already two other similar dining rooms (casual) in the hotel facility. Miss the linen table cloths, and the exceptional service, and hate having the focal point be a bar. Service has gone down a notch, not as attentive, and I miss the waitstaff I knew and remember from the old days. Food is always excellent, and the value for Saturday buffet also most acceptable. That being said nothing was "WOW" or exceptionally memorable. Still top notch, just 4 stars, rather than overwhelming 5 star experience. Long time patron for decades, first time back since the change.

Food was delicious but we thought somewhat overpriced considering the very small portion sizes. Service (maybe a kitchen issue...?) was a bit slow and waiter was rushed at our table but restaurant did not appear to be too busy. Our impression was that there were "regulars" that were given more attention but we could have been mistaken. The food was great so we would give it another try assuming they were just having an off night....

Poor service disappoints & made a special occasion $200 meal for 3 tedious! Birthday cake ordered from Hershey kitchen was brought to the table, with no silver, plates, or knife, waiter left & goes to another table. The staff was so friendly and attentive. Our server made our experience so enjoyable. She even brought out a plate with the words 'Happy anniversary' in chocolate with chocolate covered strawberries at the end of our meal. I have recommended The Circular to everyone I know.

My wife and I had celebrated or anniversary here. The dining room is nice, and the view of the fountains and garden are beautiful. Our wait staff were helpful and perfectly attentive. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. For my appetizer, I had the Pretzel Crusted Shrimp (sounded interesting). It ended up being fried shrimp with some crushed pretzel in the batter. Not a fine dine appetizer in my opinion. My entrée was the Butter Poached Lobster. The presentation was nice, and the sauce delicious. However, the lobster was very chewy - claws like rubber, and tail very tough. My wife's Filet Mignon was tender and juicy, but unremarkable. We'd probably go back, but with other fine dine options available, it wouldn't be our first choice.
