Diner Reviews
  • "My fourth visit in the past month. I love this place! My husband and I split a caesar salad, BLT sandwich, enchiladas and brownie a'la mode. Every dish was incredibly flavorful and satisfying but my favorite this visit was the enchiladas. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to the heartiest of meat eaters. For them I'd recommend the enchiladas or tacos. For someone new to raw food but a little more adventuresome I'd recommend the lasagna or Pad Thai. The kimchi dumplings are my favorite appetizer so far (but I have yet to try the Florida roll). Looking forward to my next visit!"

  • " Lovely to look at, clean and tasty food..the things they can do with nuts, fruit, avocados and tofu to name a few! This is food with taste and integrity. Raw doesnt mean "lite" or without flavor . The lavendar lemonade is luscious! Try it , you'll love it."

  • "met at door by Adam, nice young man who did good lob explaining food served cold. Good service, food tasted Ok, BUT not much for the money. Salad was not covered with dressing, a big plus, but main course left me hungry, hardly any food on the plate, and paid too much for what was served. WILL NOT RETURN. NO VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY."

  • "What a gem this place is! My husband and I went specifically for the raw vegan cuisine, which was excellent, but were duly impressed by all of the care and attention to detail the owners actively put into the entire dining experience. The decor, table setting, service and plate presentation combined with super yummy food made for a truly lovely lunch date. The lavender tea was a amazing! After sharing a plate of coconut spring rolls, my husband ordered the tacos and I had the brunch sample plate (2 banana nut "bread" squares, 2 cinnamon rolls, fresh fruit salad, a cream-filled banana pancake) and a side of eggplant "bacon." The nut bread and bacon were, eh, OK, but everything else was fantastic. A must-do in Naples!"

  • "The Cider Press Cafe opened 4 mo. ago. It offers "Florida-based modernist cuisine," and is the most original, delectable, innovative dining experience in Naples. Think Seasons 52 and Local if they weren't chains, with fresh food - most purchased from Food & Thought - and modest portions. CPC takes this healthy food concept to a new level by serving everything raw, and without meat or dairy. Even if you're an omnivore like me, the dishes are creative and delectable. My favorites: kimchi dumpling appetizer, and pineapple sorbet. I want to return to try the tacos and enchiladas. Entrees under $20. I'm looking forward to seeing how the menu changes through the seasons. The ambience is open, light, tables well spaced, quiet, and friendly."

  • "Flavorful and fresh-wish there were more places like this featuring whole delicious food. Staff knowledgable and friendly. Pad Thai was flavorful but could have used a bit more heat for me. Avacado roll appetizer creative and delicious. Will be back"

  • "We were a bit uncertain about Cider Press given the fact that it is a raw food restaurant, but my wife and I were stunned at how amazing all the food was. We had appetizers, shared a couple of entrees and had plenty of room for dessert, and everything was outstanding and extremely satisfying. The waitstaff was excellent, and the owner of the restaurant even made his way over to meet us and inquire about our dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant to vegans, omnivores and carnivores alike. "

  • "We went here for dinner on a Friday evening after finding it on line. We were attracted by the thought of eating healthy, creative food that was totally fresh and untainted by added ingredients and preservatives. We looked at the menu on line also and were impressed with the descriptions. We were absolutely not disappointed! The food was outstanding! All the courses were wonderful and the creative soft drinks too! We would thoroughly recommend it and intend on going back!"

  • "The food is incredible! My menu is raw, vegan, gluten-free, MSG-free, dairy-free, non-soy, and sugar-free. My brother is a raw vegan, and I am definitely not... But, we both LOVED the food. We had the kale chips, tacos, enchiladas, and lavender tea. We couldn't believe how unbelievable good everything was. Give this place a try. You will leave feeling happy, full, and healthy!"

  • "OK, I'm not a dedicated carnivore but certainly not a vegetarian either so I wasn't sure how I'd feel about this unique restaurant's offerings. All three of the people in our party were completely wowed. The food is beautifully presented, treated with loving respect, and full of fantastic flavor. Entrée portions initially appeared modest to our eyes but turned out to be amazingly satisfying--I needed a box for leftovers that were happily devoured the next day. We left feeling virtuous about giving our bodies the gift of healthy, nourishing food with nary a hint of "sacrificing" deliciousness. What more could we ask? All I can say is, please give this place a try. I can't imagine you'll be less than delighted."

  • "Great! The Cider Press does everything right. The food and service are top notch and the drink list expansive. It's hard to believe that everything is vegan."

  • "I've been to Cider Press 5 times in the last month and I love the food. I've brought girlfriends and also my husband. None of us are vegan but we have all enjoyed our food. It's real food and not the substitute protein stuff. The pad Thai is my favorite, but I also like the sushi, soups and desert too. The chef is so creative and the food is full of flavor. I will definitely be back again"

  • "Fresh, made to order, gourmet vegan cuisine! Finally a gourmet vegan restaurant in Southwest Florida! This place rocks! The cuisine is better then Sublime in Ft. Lauderdale area. Five Stars in my book! Full of flavor and healthy live food preparation! Loved the Florida roll appetizer, the cider salad, the lasagna & the 3 Amigo's and even the drinks (fresh raspberry cosmo....yum!! & fresh cold pressed apple cider...double yum!!) We look forward to being frequent diners of this place!"

  • "Great Vegan food. Did not notice so much that it was all raw, everything was very tasty. We all ordered different things to taste as much as possible. Loved the healthy drinks and smoothies."

  • "It would not be fair to give this a rating, as I didn't enjoy it -- wasn't aware that it was all RAW. For someone that likes that I would imagine it would be a great find!"

  • "First off, after reading all the reviews I thought we were going to have a delicious dinner, but get small portions and leave feeling hungry. While Dinner was absolutely delicious the portions were not small - they were generous - and we left feeling stuffed! (Next time - which will be very soon- we won't order quite as much!) everything we ordered was picture perfect and tasted wonderful. Note to foodies: if you want this restaurant to survive please support it.,We had dinner on a Wednesday night - during season. It was was very slow. Such a shame!!!!"

  • "Being macrobiotic/vegan for health reasons, it was great to find a gourmet vegan restaurant. It was a feast for the taste buds. Even non-vegans would find the food fabulous."

  • "Had a great 'light' lunch- kale salad which was great and the corn chowder was delicious! One of the owners helped us and was very friendly and helpful! As a gluten/dairy free eater this was perfect, & can't wait to go back and try their lasagna!"

  • "You don't need to be vegetarian or vegan to enjoy the food. Everything on the menu sounds so interesting. Difficult to decide what to order. We had Florida Roll (would fit into every high end sushi place) and gazpacho. Both amazing. The main courses Churrasco and Pad Thai: simply delicious. Chocolate Ganache and Banana split ended this gourmet dinner. The owners took the time to explain everything to us. The dedication, friendliness and knowledge is impressive."

  • "This is a specialty restaurant offering gluten-free, dairy-free, meat-free raw food. The menu is limited to approximately 3 to 5 choices in each category. They have a surprisingly more extensive of organic wine and beer. As wine enthusiasts, we were not impressed with the wine we ordered. My friend had the Florida Roll and loved it. I ordered "Lasagna," basically a tower of heirloom tomatoes, zucchini, sun dried tomato marinara, herbed cashew ricotta, basil walnut pesto and onion bread with basil butter. Beautiful presentation and very tasty. Waitress was not well informed about this particular cuisine. Noise level became excessively "energetic" with arrival of a large group."

  • "I went to support a vegan friend. I had very low expectations. I was very very surprised at the delicious and filling meal that I had. I loved everything. I tried everything my friend ordered and then ordered some things for myself. I had a major stomach upset the night before and I left the restaurant with a soothed tummy! Thank you! I also felt better than normal the next morning. Interesting. The atmosphere is serene, beautiful and immaculate. The service was also perfect. There when I wanted help and somehow invisible the rest of the time. I highly recommend the spot for food and ambiance."

  • "My wife an I visited for the first time and had no expectations. The food was exceptional and the service was terrific. We had the lasagne and a salad. A+ on both counts. The lasagne is not a real lasagne. It's better. Almost like a salad but very filling. We will be back and highly recommend."

  • "It was a great experience. The staff is so relaxed and friendly. The owner and chef came by and checked in. we even had another guest come up compliment us on our family dynamics. We had 4 children ages 5 to 16 that were there celebrating their "MA's" birthday. Our reservation table was ready when we walked in. Dining was a great experience. We posted pictures on Facebook and have 3 friends interested in visiting the establishment."

  • "The Cider Press is a great place to eat if you follow a raw diet and are not on a budget. The portion sizes are not large, especially for a man. We had the lasagna, flatbad appetizer, Cider Press salads, and the tacos. I thought all were delicious but would not order the flatbread again- the toppings were very sparse. The lasagna looked like a gourmet tomato stack and was delicious but was appetizer sized and cost $17.00! Our total bill, including 3 glasses of wine was about $115.00- which would have been fine if my husband wasn't still hungry! This restaurant is for those who appreciate all that goes into cooking raw."

  • "We loved the food, the setting, and the people. The owners came to talk to us on both the nights that were were there. We have special dietary restrictions and they modified their dishes to accommodate us. Everything is organic, healthy, yet it feels like walking into the finest restaurant in NY."

  • "As a vegetarian and general avoider of GMO and non-organic food, this restaurant met all my expectations. Even though the food is all raw, it doesn't detract from the meals at all - they are creative, flavorful and interesting."

  • "The food was wonderfully prepared and presented and it tasted delicious. However, the portions were very small and the prices were high for what you got. That being said, it is great to have a new place that caters to vegans! We will definitely go back."

  • "The food was truly delicious! We tried a large variety of the menu and it was wonderful! I would highly recommend the ceviche, the tacos and the lasagna. Enjoy!"

  • "We need a good vegetarian/vegan restaurant in town so we gave this a try. All food is served cold, on purpose. Our entries were very tasty, particularly the lasagna, a tower of tomatoes and nut "cheese" but not filling enough for a complete meal. Presentation was pretty. We all came home hungry. A problem of perception that the owners should correct - there were only two tables filled, but 7 employees hanging around the bar/ office area at the front. It took a while for the server to come to our table- too busy talking to other staff."

  • "Food was excellent! Will not find another restaurant in Naples that provides a unique raw dining experience. The fusion of flavors is brilliant. Unfortunately, our server didn't know the menu and was unable to answer our questions. She was polite, but not helpful. Regardless, the chef came to our table and was able to tell us about he specially prepares the entrees ingredients used. He did an excellent job with timing and presentation. We were pleasantly surprised to meet the owner later in the evening as he approached us after our meal and was extremely kind and eager to find out about our experience. Highly recommend the flatbread appetizer made from raw walnuts and raw lasagna entree. Looking to try a new dish and juice next time!"

  • "So nice to be able to have choices on a menu for vegetarian--not one thing I would not eat! Great for non-veggies as well. Satisfying and creatively prepared meals. My advice to those wondering if they should try it? Be adventurous, because you WILL go back. Beautiful décor and very attentive staff willing to explain how each menu item is prepared."

  • "The raw vegan food is delicious. However, the entrée I ordered (the tomato "lasagna" - no pasta here) while delicious, was very small ($19) and not enough for me as a main course (I'm a female relatively small eater.) Two would be just right but that would be $38! My husband ordered the "three amigos" which are great and quite filling. Their menu is limited (they are still in their "soft opening" stage - full menu to follow in a couple months (?)) But I love this place! ... just wish the tomato "lasagna" was a more ample serving. Service still a little slow. But I bet it will improve - the Cider Press Cafe has not been open long."
