Incredible meal. We go out a good amount and this restaurant is just top notch. Meat cooked to perfection, the king crab legs were perfect too. Good wine list. We cannot say enough good things about this meal. It is pricy, but you get the quality for sure. 2 glasses of wine each, 2 salads, 2 entrees, no dessert = about $250 with tip. Worth every single dime. We will surely be back.

  • Food Great but Really Noisy

Recently had dinner at the Chophouse with my girlfriend and the food and service was fantastic. However, the dining room we ate in was extremely noisy, so much so that we could hardly hear our waiter, let alone each other. In addition, there was this so called music playing in the background, but all you really heard was this repetitive bass drum sound. Upon leaving the hostess made a note online to have us seated in the main dining room, which didn't seem as noisy, the next time we dined there.

We had not been to the chophouse in a few years so we wanted to try out again. well it took a while for a server to get to our table even though it was early (530 dinner). I don't blame the server, because the hostess didn't tell the server there was a sitting. once the server came over, and apologized...everything was ok. the server did a good job! the food was pretty good. but you need to consider value vs. price. the rest. is on the upper end of expensive for the area, so if you expect perfect you will be disappointed. but if you expect good-very good, then you will be happy. I will go back and try it again!

Had a fine meal with family, but feel it is overpriced. While the food quality was excellent, there was nothing spectacular about the menu that would motivate me to want to go back! I feel the Collingswood/Haddonfield scene has more to offer.

I enjoyed this restaurant about 5 years ago, but unfortunately not this time. The service was fair and the food was average. The waitress was slow and appeared overwhelmed. She had no suggestions for dinner or drinks. I watched my drink sit on the bar for 10-15 minutes before it was served. We declined dessert due to fear about the wait. The food was fair. The French onion soup was under seasoned. The buffalo shrimp were salty. The salmon nachos should be called salmon wontons since the chips was more like wontons and oily. The cheesesteak rolls were good. The steak lacked flavor and no competition for Ruth Chris, Morton's or Del Frisco's. I enjoyed the halibut after adding salt. I was expecting a great dinner and left disappointed.

I sent an email to the company and have yet to hear back. My guest and I went for harvest week, the chicken dish I order left little to be desired-it was all dark meat-tasteless, wish they would of mentioned that in the description-all dark meat. They sat us-me facing looking into the restaurant, which when there were tables available for two looking out onto the lake. It was noisy, the table was sticky and it was not a very good experience. This place is inconsistent. My guest said when we left that we should of stuck with the capital grille-always consistent.

We had the Fall Harvest Menu. Each item was superb. My husband loved the pork belly and the braised short rib. We both loved the beet salad. My seafood newburg was fabulous. The sauce was perfect not too thick. It was probably the best Seafood Newburg I ever had. The caramel creme brulee was perfect. I wasn't able to finish it and took it home. It was still out of this world the next night. Our experience was exceptional on every level.

Even though I dined during their special "Fall Harvest Week" which offers a tasting menu of four (4) courses for $35.00 per person, I took a gander at the regular menu and even though this restaurant is pricey, the portions are bigger than average, creative and beautifully displayed. I would definitely recommend The Chophouse for a special occasion like an anniversary or romantic evening out.

First time and did not disappoint. The service was good and the food was even better. I'd save this for special occasions, a little pricey for a regular dinner but worth every penny for my husbands birthday. We had 3 pepper calamari, pan seared scallops and crab cakes. Everything was delicious. Dessert was a brownie with bourbon soaked cherries and ice cream. Very tasty. Will return soon.

The Chop House lived up to almost all of my expectations. The service, the view and the food were all amazing. The only negative thing that I can say about the entire experience is this. We had a 5:30 reservation and we got there around 4:30 to sit at the bar for a little while before dinner. There were very few customers in the bar area at that time and the waitresses and bar tenders were carrying on rather loudly with each other. Certainly inappropriate for such a fine dining establishment. But overall it was still a wonderful experience.

Late lunch is my favorite time. The water views the quiet atmosphere, of course the food and the service are great. Our waiter Bob made it an extra special Birthday for my friend. Instead of sharing one desert after our delicious meal he split the desert into four separate plates and made each one look festive and complete.

Although I've been to the Chophouse several times in the past, I haven't been there in many years. I always remember thinking, "We should have stopped at the appetizers." I can honestly say this time, ALL the food was great. I had the Tuna Tartare, which was excellent and I'd order it again. The Rack of Lamb was tasty and perfect medium - how I like it. My guest had the onion soup and the filet, both excellent. We also shared the smashed red potatoes and brussel sprouts, both very good. We finished off our dinner with the creme brulee and coffee. The perfect meal!

We asked for water, and only 4 out of 5 got water. My wife asked for Oysters and had to ask again for them 15-20 minutes later to which she was told "I didn't know you wanted them". The steak was not medium well, it was well done and dry. Its nice to have romantic lighting but you still be able to see the menu. Make font bigger.

We used a gift card from my bridal shower as our first dinner out after the wedding. We had both been wanting to try this restaurant and were let down. My husband's medium rare steak came out well. Our server, Bob, could not have been any nicer and sent it back. The sous chef proceeded to cut the steak along the bone, where it was medium rare, and bring it back out to us. He asked if my husband would take it back or did he want another one. Really? We both had the special which were 90 day, dry aged Delmonico steaks which were not cheap. Needless to say, we we're let down. My Mojitos had no alcohol in them which was upsetting considering their cost as well. I don't mind the expense if it's worth it. This was not. Service was beyond great!

Our 6th or 7th time eating there and the food was fabulous, the atmosphere great but for the first time the service was very average. Everything was great except our wait person forgot about us several times and while the restaurant was busy as expected on a Saturday, other tables had the proper attention given, while we sat with empty wine glasses or waited for even bread and our courses. I would still highly recommend the restaurant to anyone who enjoys fine steaks and great atmosphere and perhaps it was just an off night for wait person, but I would probably ask for another table if we were to get that same person again.
