One of the reasons is The ChopHouse's BYO policy, another is their personal service. With many regular clients, it pleases us to be seated timely and recognized by not only the wait staff, but also the valet service. The food quality is consistently verg good to outstanding, and stemware is crystal. The dining room has a lovely view overlooking a lake. The dining room however is very loud.

We had a 7pm reservation, our table was not ready till almost 8pm. We enjoyed a cocktail in the bar

We arrived early and wanted to have a drink by the fire pit that is in a room that is only open on Friday and Saturday evenings. They allowed us to taste different wines to find one my date would enjoy. I had the house martini that is so smooth as it is made with a potato vodka which I have fallen in love with.Our waiter Nicholas, was superb in his demeanor and skill. Every morsel of food was superior. The Lobster Bisque is a must have. We shared the Chopsalad, an Chilean Sea Bass, and Asparagus.There were at least 3 server caring for our needs. I am a fortunate enough to dine at some fine establishments on a regular basis. The Chophouse has always been a consistent favorite but on the latest visit they really outdid themselves. We were celebrating an anniversary and a birthday. The wait staff and management repeatedly noted the occasions and even treated us to desert. It was absolutely first class treatment all the way. The food and service already had us hooked but this night confirmed why this restaurant is our favorite. We arrived right at our reservation time, and only waited a minute or two to be seated. Unfortunately, we were seated at a round table suited for a larger party, but we made the best of it by sliding in next to each other. When we did that, however, we were facing the bar with the NCAA tournament on the TVs, and a lot of foot traffic so it wasn't quite as romantic as we expected.
The food, however, was exceptional. The kona rub steak was very tasty, and the swordfish special was phenomal. The sweet corn, heirloom tomatoes and blood orange sauce were a perfect blend hinting at summer. The chocolate lava cake was worth the 20-minute wait! Wine selections are unknown names with high markups. But, the beer is served in a large glass.

Our group was there for restaurant week and the menu was wonderful for the four courses at a most reasonable rate of $35. Appetizer we all enjoyed was calamari, followed by a wonderful green salad with lots of fruit and tomato and mozarella salad...both delicious. The steak was perfect as was the salmon entree. By the time dessert arrived, we could hardly summon up our appetites to eat even more. Service impeccable...not rushed...perfectly timed. The staff and service was excellent; courteous and friendly. The decor is nice and it is probably a very nice location in Spring and Summer with the rooms overlooking the lake. The appetizers were very good; the salmon nachos were interesting but could have used a sauce or some other flavor enhancer. Salads were very good although a bit too heavy on the dressing making it a little soggy. The entire party had NY Strip Steak entrees; all very good but the seasoning was a little light. The prices are high. I am so glad we were able to dine there during restaurant week. We stayed with the special menu plus added Shrimp Cocktail and we had four drinks which came up to $112. before tip. The server was attentive and very nice. She checked on us many times through out our time there. The rest of the staff was also very attentive; taking away our plates, refilling our water. It was nice to be taken care of at a wonderful meal. Just what you expect but may not get at other restaurants.
