We were given a virtual menu with no explanation on how to use it. Long wait to get your food. The crab and lobster cakes were very fishy tasting and couldn't see or taste any lobster meat. Could barely get one down. Big Waste of money. My husband had the sea bass which he enjoyed very much. The staff was very friendly.

We sat by the kitchen and it was rather noisy. The food took a very long time to prepare. The food came out over cooked or undercooked, did not taste fresh and was bland. Very expensive for a fair dining experience.

Our server was amazing. He definitely knew his steak and the menu back and front. I got the lamb, I wanted venison but they were out. It just wasn't that flavorful. It was cooked correctly, to medium. But it was pretty disappointing for a $35 plate. My boyfriend got the cowboy steak, I think. Again, the meat was not very flavorful. Both of our plates came with a sauce, which was good. But I was really excited for a good piece of meat. We got the potatoes au gratin which were awesome and the sauteed spinach which was also pretty good. We got a nice malbec and then I got a cappuccino after dinner. The ambiance was great. But the meat was just a real disappointment.

For the price I would have expected more flavor in the food. The lobster bisque was creamy but not great. The steaks were good but nothing super special and the sides were average. Service was excellent.

This was probably our 10th dining experience at The Chop House, and much like the other times - it was a very excellent and memorable experience. I let them know through OpenTable that this was my 8th Anniversary and I requested one of their more private tables. Upon mentioning my reservation they immediately wished my wife and I a Happy Anniversary and promptly sat us at my requested table. We were greeted almost immediately by our waiter, Jack, who gave us top notch service from start to finish. He was courteous, knowledgeable, and made some great recommendations. He gave us privacy when we needed it, and always seemed to come back at the right time. Even our dessert had "Happy 8th Anniversary" written on it in chocolate.

This resturant was suggested to me by a catering company that I've used for the last four years, "Invite Me Again." Although it was quite a distance from our home (we live in Quantico VA) it was worth every mile that we traveled. Our experience began at the hostess station and was up hill from therer. The service was superb, the food presentation was excellent (they swept our table when serving our main entree) and everything was prepared to perfection. I can't remember our main server (shame on me) however, she was excellent and very attentive to our every need. She even offered to take our photo for us...something that most servers wait for you to ask. I loved the experience and will dine here again. It's too bad that folk confuse you with the Chop House in the District of Columbia. I quickly tell everyone that there is no affiliation!!! Thanks for the superb dining experience and excellent food.

We have been to the Happy Hour many times and that is an outstanding deal and great food. For my wife's birthday we thought we would try the restaurant. Food was above average, kale salad was exceptional, but the rest of the meal was while good - pretty expensive for what you receive. Portion sizes were enough that we had a second meal the next evening - so that was good. We went on her birthday and received a large discount, so that was awesome.

It was good- good steaks, good sides, good service. For the hype and for how our server praised the restaurant through our entire meal - how lucky we were to enjoy it (!), how fabulous it is - it wasn't worth the hype and I expected better than "just good." VERY noisy, people banging into my husband's chair. Once we got our entrees, our server thought we didn't exist and moved on to tell new arrivals how lucky they were to eat there. If you are looking for a very noisy, $200 "just good" meal for 2, this is the place for you. At the end of our meal, my husband and I agreed that we FAR preferred Stoney River Steakhouse in Annapolis Mall and would return there soon - not to The Chop House.

Great steaks: filet mignon for me, ribeye for husband. Pan-seared scallops as appetizer were too salty. Huge house salad. The menu is primarily a la carte, so the steaks do not come with any side items. This leads to a pricey meal. Our waitress, Nikki, was wonderful.

The Chop House was truly a dining experience. The evening we dined was very busy but our server was very attentive and she answered our questions patiently and knowledgeably. Eric the general manger helped serve our dinners which demonstrates he is a hands on manager. Our steaks, New York strip and Filet Mignon, were hot when served and done to perfection. Each course was served in a timely manner. I would recommend Chop House!!!

Food took over an hour to arrive and only after we asked where it was three times. When the food finally arrived the filets were completly undercooked. We ordered med well they were RARE... The sides were either undercooked or cold. The manger apologized and picked up the bill but based on our experience I would never recommend this location. I have dined at other Chop House locations which were fabulous but this location was a complete disappointment. Two people in the party had never been to a Chop House so it was very embarrassing as I had set high expectations based on my previous meals at other locations.

The ambiance was very Art Deco but still modern. The menu was an iPad- with pictures of each item- very fun. The menu was what you'd expect for a high end ala carte steakhouse. The price point is high. The service was more rehearsed than efficient, empty glasses, long times between check backs and while there were some nicely managed service elements it wasn't what I expected.

The service was off because our server was busy with a huge group of demanding people. It was a long time between each course. My steak was barely warm and it was painful waiting for the check. The restaurant was not all that busy maybe she should have asked for or been given help. This is not the norm for the Chop House in my experience, just an off night.

I took my boyfriend to The Chop House Restaurant, at the Annapolis Towne Center, to celebrate his birthday. Perfect choice! I specified where I preferred we sat on the online reservation (a quiet area of the restaurant). They offer spectacular discounts/specials on the exact day of a patron's birthday (bring state issued ID for proof of birthday) when they dine there. Staff was very friendly and they accommodated my seating preference. Our waiter, TRAVIS, cheerfully greeted us & was an excellent waiter. The Chop House definitely has excellent customer service in addition to wonderful steaks & food. My boyfriend was extremely pleased with everything! Two managers asked about our experience & wished my boyfriend a Happy Birthday-great.

The Chop House is on par with The Prime Rib (Baltimore location) and offers a very nice variety of steaks and seafood. Tablet based menu was gimmicky requiring more time and effort than a traditional menu. The wine list, despite having sort functions, was a mess - alphabetical order, with everything mixed? This concept really needs to be re-thought. All soups and sauces in our party of 9 were overly salty. Meats and seafood were well-prepared. Sides (accompaniments) were average and lacked flavor. Service was not professional or commensurate with the cost. Our waiter was just not ready to handle a table by himself... Overall, the experience was disappointing given the high cost. There are far better options available in Annapolis for about the same price. Go to Lewnes instead for better food, service and atmosphere for about the same price.

We went for our anniversary on 8/31. Showed up 15 minutes before the reservation. We waited for reservation time (far from crowded). The host barely acknowledged as he was on the phone. The hostess sat us in a corner with server station directly next to us. When asked if we could have a different seat, we were told that was not an option but don't worry it was never used. The entire night had servers clanking dishes and walking behind me. Almost just got up and walked out. The food was good, not great especially given the prices. The server was nice. We paid for dinner and walked across the street to another restaurant for dessert. Overall, not worth it. There are better steakhouses out there and one's that understand how to treat a patron.

We looked forward all week to steamed crabs on the deck, our first time in St. Michaels. Had steamed mussels, tender and not overcooked as many places do, Cherrystone clams (also excellent), then the steamed crabs. A couple of the crabs - especially the claws - were a little dry from having been steamed and then sitting too long - but most were just right. You can't beat the atmosphere, watching the boats go in and out, enjoying the breeze and really feeling part of the Eastern Shore vibe. Lots of locals at the restaurant, which tells you it must be consistently good. Great server, who seemed to have a sixth sense when she was needed and was a lot of fun. Many locally brewed or craft beers - we tried four different ones, all terrific.
