Diner Reviews
  • "I made reservations several days before dining on a Tuesday. There were four of us and 3 were large men in group which I added in special requests. We arrive promptly at 6:30 and checked in and were offered the only table left which was small and backed up directly to door entry. We declined and was asked to wait until another opened. Food was terrific. However I felt it was more 1st come 1st served as opposed to accommodating those who took the time to make reservations. We will give it another try and hope for a better experience."

  • "This restaurant has very good food. It is upscale and I will return. However, it is WAY TOO LOUD inside the restaurant. Almost need hearing aids. IT is SO SMALL, every sound is amplified. Also, because of its lack of size, it is very hard to get a seat and you have to make reservations a week in advance. They need to move the restaurant to a larger place."

  • "The food was all awesome. The fried chicken and the burger were exceptional. Desserts were all great , as were the side dishes and appetizers. All the food was wonderful. However the restaurant is very small and cramped, and so noisy you can't have a regular conversation. The tables were so close together you had to move next to your neighbors table to squeeze into the booth. No ambiance as it is very small and loud. The food was outstanding. However it was like dinong in a noisy corner bar. I hope they do well so they can open a full restaurant!"

  • "Very impressed with your operation. I've been in the business for ten years and new to the area so I'm glad I have found out about this place. I'll be dining with you again very soon."

  • "We had a great dinner at Chef's table. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and had great recommendations. The food was outstanding! Very fresh and flavorful. We will definitely be back!"

  • "This is a gem of a local restaurant. Smiling staff, great service, and the food was wonderful! Small and cozy and we had a great laugh with the couples next to us. Lots of fun!"

  • "Finding The Chef's Table was totally by internet search and reading Yelp comments. I have to agree with most of the comments on Yelp, a very small place, but great service, and fresh, amazing food. I had the fried chicken with gravy sauce; kinda wished I had told them not to pour the gravy over the chicken...it was very good tho! The pesto fries are the best I've ever had, and my girlfriend echoed those comments (a hearty portion, I ended up taking some home and they zapped well in the micro!) I highly recommend this place for lunch, and because it is a small place (I'm guessing maybe 12 tables?? plus they have bar seating too...) Making a reservation is a good idea. Unassuming in a shopping center I see it expanding some day!"

  • "Great place to get a variety of different plates. Really great staff/service for my first time dining. Would reccomend it small groups and couple for a nice casual date night."

  • "We were absolutely thrilled to find this neighborhood gem. The owners and other service providers were most accommodating. Highly recommend the kale and the roasted corn."

  • "The food was excellent. We started with the risotto croquettes, served with a lovely marinara sauce; they were flavorful and not at all greasy. Our entrees--the sea bass and the pork--were cooked perfectly. For dessert we shared the peach and strawberry cobbler, which was very nicely done; the fruit was fresh, both tart and sweet, and the biscuit-like topping was crisp on top and soft underneath. The menu choices and execution are fine dining all the way, but the atmosphere and service are pleasantly welcoming and unpretentious. Great place!"

  • "Real proof that good things come in small packages. This pint-sized restaurant packs a culinary punch; a seasonally changing menu of locally sourced goodness, a comfortable warm atmosphere, and service that makes you feel completely welcome and at home. With hearty meat dishes, succulent seafood, and a veggie option or two, this place has something for everyone. You just have to GO. But make a reservation - the place fills up quick!"

  • "Always on the mark. If you are looking for pasta and chicken fingers, this place is not for you. Trust the Chefs. They know what they are doing. Make a reservation. It fills up fast. Great food and personal service."

  • "Don't bring the kids and we will keep coming back. All communities need independent restraunts. BJs, Chili's, johnny garlic's lack personal attention to customers. Do not get this confused with a 100 questions from the server. Make your first visit a seat at the bar, split a bottle of wine and dinner apps."

  • "What a surprise! We set a reservation and found a gem! Small but AWESOME!! The wine list was great, the food and staff were amazing! Prices well within reason for what we got!! Will be going back again for sure!!"

  • "Food was great, service was very good, but the restaurant was very hot inside and I am not sure if the air conditioning was working. If it was, the owner needs to update and improve the air conditioning. "

  • "I have only tried this place once for lunch so I can only speak to one experience. The food was delicious. The place is small. I did not like sitting so close to other people. Not much space between one table and the other if you sit on the back wall. Not conducive for private conversations."

  • "Chefs Table is a great place to grab a delicious week-night dinner. The menu has great choices where you can have a meal of just appetizers and a great glass of wine or an entire feast. The prices are reasonable, the wine list interesting (or bring your own bottle for a reasonable corkage fee) and a comfortable atmosphere. I will definitely go back again!"

  • "This place is always busy! It's got some creative menu items and everything is very tasty. Make sure to make a reservation before you come. We've tried coming on a whim but are always disappointed when there is no room."

  • "Thoughtful menu. Mine-the seared tuna-didn't care for the salsa with it-over powered the tuna. Cheese plate was wonderful. French fries pesto great. The hamburger with PB&J was just very good. but no jelly next time. The NY steak was very much liked by the diner. Noisy but with energy. "

  • "Tiny little, deceiving strip mall has a hidden gem. Great food, awesome staff, beer and wine were great too. Loved the pesto cheesy fries, husband got the fried chicken and I loved the seabass. Only negative was the hallway table we were sat at. If you reserve on open table and don't want the hallway, make sure you request it in your reservation. Will definitely spread the word and be coming back again. "

  • "This was my second visit. The mash potato poppers were over salted and the potato salad had a strange spice that was off. The sea bass and Ceasar salad were wonderful. The locally brewed draft beer was great. "

  • "Was very disappointed by this place. Service was slow and unfriendly. Food was overpriced AND very greasy (all 3 dishes we ordered). Will not return. "

  • "This was my second visit to The Chef's Table. First experience was great, this second time was outstanding. Entertaining customers from out of state- this was a great choice. It's a very casual, low-key atmosphere. Table space is a little tight, but the food, oh man the food is fantastic! I personally went with a safe bet of the ribs and blue cheese potato salad- Winner! The ribs were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The BBQ sauce was spot-on. And blue cheese in potato salad- who is the genius that thought of that? Great package. Other guests had the vegetable risotto with good feedback and the fried chicken was also well liked. The most unique order was the PB&J bacon burger. My customer loved it- sweet and savory together. "

  • "My wife and I really enjoyed this place. The staff is friendly and one of the Chefs even stopped by our table to see how we enjoyed the meal. He didn't hold any grudge about the missus' well done steak either. It's a small restaurant so I recommend reservations. That's what I did and we were sat down immediately. There is a small bar area which had seats available up until about 7 PM that Saturday night. If they still have the mozzarella and pesto french fries, I highly recommend. Try the bacon brownie too. Prices are a little above average for most places in the area and the portions aren't huge. It's worth trying at least once and I plan on making it a regular stop for special occasions."

  • "First time there so I was surprised by how small it was. Reminded me of a sushi bar the way everyone sat at the bar. But the food was wonderful and the service was great. I'd definitely go back. I do agree with some of the other reviews though, if I'm ordering a $15 hamburger, it should come with some shoe string fries or something. But other than that I LOVED my food. "

  • "We had a very pleasant dining experience. Great group of friendly Chef's. The Beer was cold, the food was tasty, and the service was outstanding! What more could you ask? The menu is a bit limited, but everything we tried was exceptional. The $15.00 hamburger may seem a little pricey considering it comes without a side (except for a nice crisp dill slice) but it was cooked perfectly to my request (medium rare) and worth every penny IMO. Can't wait to go back!"
