The Cellar NewnanA Cut AboveA meat lover's delight! Located in Historic downtown Newnan is this gem of a restaurant. Our cocktails were delicious, our steaks cooked exactly to our rather picky specifications and the salads and sides were excellent. We were there on a sat. Night and there was music and it was good but too loud as it made conversation between diners virtually impossible. :(. We had dined at The Cellar at dinner and the ambience was distinctly romantic. Sunday lunch is served family style and is comfortable and friendly. I suggested it to friends for a birthday dinner and I am happy to report that everyone was happy with my suggestion. Members of our party ordered steak, fish, and lamb burgers and everyone was very pleased with their selections. I ordered the steak which was seasoned and cooked to perfection. In addition to great food and wine, the servers were personable and attentive, and the timing was near perfect. The entrees arrived just as we were finishing our salads, not too soon as to make us feel rushed, not too late as if the kitchen had lost our order.
