Third time at the cellar, the location is less intimate in my opinion. The menu also changed. I ordered the same item previously loved and was very unhappy with it this time. The quality for the price has decreased.

My husband and I came here for our first 'date' after the birth of our son. It was an excellent choice. Our waitress was super-pleasant and attentive. My husband had the strip steak with Mac and cheese and a baked potato...it was all delicious! The steak was cooked perfectly and had a fantastic flavor. I had the steak medallion entree and it too was delicious. The garlic mashed potatoes were awesome and the asparagus was cooked perfectly. Oh, and when you go, get the fried pickles for an appetizer...they were so good! Also dessert was amazing. We had the pecan pie and peanut butter pie, both of which were to die for. I believe Linda made both of those and you could definitely tell they were cooked with love. We will definitely be going back on our next special occasion. Newnan needs more restaurant serves like this.

First time at the new location on Jefferson St. Our resv was at 6:30 on Friday. Love the new atmosphere, though it is quite a bit noisier than the old location. Still, a very cool and modern vibe. Service was a bit slow as the restaurant was clearly understaffed, evidenced by our waiter who was spending a lot of time helping tend bar and working up a sweat - literally. The seared Ahi Tuna with wasabi appetizer was amazing. My wife's lamb shank, prepared like a stew, was great. My chophouse chicken was a bit charred on the outside, though tasty and palatable. I'm not a bread pudding fan, but Cellar's was outstanding and not overly rich. We'll be back to try it again, as I expect things to improve when they get the kinks worked out in the new location.

Waitress started off with " let me tell you what we are out of. Red Flag. Was given 2 pieces of bread. We waited forever for the food. Food was cold & steak was overcooked. Ask for medium well, steak was well, we'll done to the point of being burnt. Sides was cold. Could not find waitress to advise her. Restaurant is too dark, could not read menu or bill. We will not return to this restaurant.

What a great little restaurant. Dined at The Cellar for a 68th birthday celebration, and it was the right choice. We were warmly welcomed and I was impressed at how well the staff worked together - at least four of their team members touched our table throughout the evening. All were very pleasant, and the food was *delicious*. I had the trout, Dad had the salmon, my boyfriend had the chicken, which fell right off the bone. Dessert was peanut butter pie made by the owner...it was amazing - silky texture and flavor through the roof. Decorations were elegant and mature in gold and black, with wood and brown and black leather accents. Highly recommend; we will definitely be back. Now looking for an excuse to return for lunch :)

Nice new restaurant location. We were seated next to the big windows at the front, and I found that enjoyable and airy. This Sunday was a set meal for all patrons and served family style. When we arrived, there was a nice card displaying the day's menu for each of us on the table. We only asked for one more helping of meatloaf, plenty otherwise. The food was delicious, especially the baked chicken. Tasty vegetables. We enjoyed the vanilla bean butter too. The server was excellent and informative. Reasonable pricing. I hope this new location works out well for them. I am sure it is a challenge getting accustomed to a new work environment. I give family style the thumbs up for this restaurant!

I have been telling everyone since Saturday how awesome the food and how awesome "Patti our server was. The price was right for the amount of food you got and being from Kansas that is the best steak my wife and I have had since moving here to Georgia in 2002!! Hats off to the cook!!!

The Cellar needs a little more work. The Cellar just openned at its new location on Jefferson. They unfortunately did not have there liquor license. So no wine or liquior was served. They had few items that they had on the menu were not available. Where my husband and I were seated was near the entrance of the restaurant. Let's just say during the winter you do not want to sit to the far right as you will be cold. I had a wet aged filet and it was cooked to order and was juicy. The sides were smoked tomatoe grits. I highly recommend. The corn casorole was ok. My husband had the Kolbe flank steak it was ok. Do not recommend. To much au jus. We have had better Kolbe steaks at other restaurants. Overall the cellar needs more improvements.

Four of us went on a Thursday night. We began with the fried green tomatoes--excellent. My wife had the lamb burger with onion rings, I had the wild boar burger with fries (too many fries) and the iceberg wedge. Brother-in-law and mother-in-law shared the large Angus reserve steak with garlic mashed potatoes and mixed greens salad. All entrees were excellent. BiL (from California) had a glass of Chardonnay and announced it "quite good." A bit on the high dollar side for Newnan, but we will save up and do it again.

We've lived in Newnan for years and are just tired of the same old chain restaurants. We decided to start trying the various venues in downtown Newnan and the The Cellar was the first one we tired. We made a reservation for 5:30 Friday evening, but it wasn't necessary. We were early enough that we were among the first to arrive for dinner. Everything from drinks to starters to their amazing salads and entrees were delicious! Oh and that Molten Lava Cake...mmmm! While it's a little pricey (We spent $100 includung tip) to go every week, we will certainly be putting The Cellar in our regular rotation! The service was also outstanding!!!

Will definitely be going back!!

My husband and I went there for our anniversary. Great Chophouse that was less frustrating to get to than downtown Atlanta locations. We think the food was better than our special occasion, downtown spot. Our waiter, Jerry, was very helpful and knowledgeable. We plan to return and try one of the game burgers. My husband made a suggestion of having a sample plate containing the different burgers as sliders. That way you can try the meat without committing to a full burger.

If your tired of Buckhead, and all the traffic in dowtown getting to a chophouse with great food, a great wine list and what I found to be very attentive excellect service, thy south of ATL, in Newnan Ga. The Celler is in the historic square of Newnan with interesting local shops, and a laid back flair. The food was excellent, we had the steak, but if your taste buds go for the eclectic, maybe the antelope, or kangaroo burgers may be your pleasure. Expect Old South Service, with an upscale wine and beer list. Have Fun

What a great restaurant. After being seated and served our first drinks the staff was a little less attentive, left with empty glass and forgot to return. As dinner progressed though I will say the staffing improved. The apps (Conch Fritters) we okay, nothing to bring me back...but the steak, filet med rare and the rib eye medium were incredible. Contrary to other reviews I found the sides proportionate and adequate. I'd certainly return and would most certainly recommend.

Reservations were at 5:30 on a Wednesday, so the restaurant was very quiet. As we were finishing (4 in the party) around 7 p.m., the band was setting up, so we cannot comment on the noise level after that. This was our second time there and the food was just as great as the first time. We enjoyed the aged reserved filet, the cowboy ribeye and the shrimp. Service also great.

Everything was great! The only thing I was disappointed about was that I included a note in the reservation that it was my wife's birthday and to make it special for her. Normally a restaurant would bring out a dessert of some sort or an after dinner drink on the house. I'm not sure what happened but nothing was said or provided. Needless to say, I was pretty bummed out as this was our first time there.

Took my wife out for a date night away from our two small children. This was a wonderful evening. Menu has a variety of exotic meat burgers and aged steaks. They have a nice wine and beer list. There were people dressed up and people in jeans and I think all fit in but I would say you'd be more comfortable atleast in a pair of khakis. If you want to try an entirely new dish, The Cellar is the place to go. Elk, antelope, kangaroo - not your usual menu. I chose the salmon, which was delicious. Our waiter made a suggestion for our wine choice, and it was very good. The restaurant was a little louder than usual, but there was a graduation party going on, and The Cellar did try to cut down on the noise by pulling a movable wall between us and the large party. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this venue to anyone visiting from out of town or any locals.
