We were having a girls weekend at my home in Cda. I went online and booked our table and asked to be seated upstairs and by a window. I asked for upstairs because some of the ladies have trouble with stairs and I wanted it quieter when the music started. When we arrived I was told we were downstairs due do a group party on the main floor. I would have appreciated notification of this prior to our arrival. But, with that said, the food was wonderful and our waitress was very attentive and did an excellent job. That was first time to have dinner there, so I have mixed emotions about The Cellar.

As an owner in the customer service industry I was very disappointed in the Cellars . The host was rude and un accommodating. The bar tender was rude and not helpful w the response of pushing me off onto another location next door. My recommendation to this location would be instead of a snobby attitude about what isn't available be more helpful in demonstrating what the location does have to offer.

Went for dinner to celebrate our sons first job. Service was very slow from the beginning. But the gentleman stated he is just returning to work after three months. It sure seem like it was his first day on his own. Service from a waitress was very slow. Our total dinner time was 2 1/2 hours. There was a lot of waiting in between drink offers, food and the Bill. Apparently they are well-known for the flank steak. I had it cooked medium rare and it was over done and chewy. My son got the hamburger and he would not eat it because it Tasted like Raw hamburger. Knowing it would take too long to send back we just ate it. Saw several people leave the facility due to waiting time. Building was very cold we sat and ate with jackets.

We went to The Cellar for a birthday party. There were 9 in our group and we all had great food! Happy Hour is fantastic, love the wine 'machine'....great live music in the basement.

Had a wonderful meal. Starting with the flatbread, sharing a salad and then having the steel head trout done in the banana leaf as well as the porterhouse pork chop in mustard. The wine list is extensive and reasonably priced. The people were very friendly. Don't know if they were short staffed, but the service was terrible. We saw two tables go hunt down the waitress for various needs. We would come back, but a second service experience like the first, would make it the last visit. Don't know if the fact that it is off season and a Sunday had anything to do with the bad service...just throwing that out as a possibility.

We went because Chef Adam Hegsted, Spokane's James Beard Award finalist, is the owner. Like many in Spokane we saw the news story AND we had a birthday to celebrate. I booked a table for four for Friday evening, 02/26/2016, using the OpenTable app on my phone which made booking easy. Our whole table agreed to the Chef's Tour where the restaurant's chef decides what to cook and serve you, from appetizers through dessert. We did not have a dish we would not order on our next trip! From the deep-fried artichokes and glazed prosciutto through the steelhead, we all enjoyed every bite. This is a great find that we've already told our friends about! The atmosphere was trendy wine bar. The service was the only negative - but understand the servers were well-trained and very professional, there just weren't enough of them to be 5-star and at some points we waited longer for the next course than we should have...

Went in for dinner, waited at the bar, had a great experience! Nick at the bar is probably one of the best I've seen when it comes to service and making sure you have a great experience!
