A word from The Cellar Bistro

A wonderful little gem in downtown Wheaton just 2 blocks from the Metra. Serving delicious, homemade dishes using preservative free ingredients and hormone/anti-biotic free beef, pork, bison, chicken and eggs. Fresh fish featured weekly, live music every Monday night, a great wine list and quaint… sidewalk dining with alcohol service. We buy from businesses within our community, or from small businesses who are an integral part of their communities and try to have a positive impact on their environment. Opened in 2007, this husband & wife owned restaurant was nominated for Restaurant of the Year in 2010. You will be impressed with the ambiance of the small dining room, the personal, attentive service by the wait staff and the delicious menu options.Continued

"Wonderful atmosphere, cozy, warm feeling, but not stuffy.
Excellent food and service. I was a littly apprehensive about black eyed peas with blackened Mahi, but it was a great combination, expertly prepared and served beautifully.
Dessert...Creme Brulee! Wonderful
Great food, great service. Very enjoyable evening. We'll definitely be back!"

"We had a very nice experience at the Cellar Bistro. The entree selections were diverse enough for our taste and were nicely prepared. The atmosphere and room setting is fine for small (2-4) groups. We will strongly consider dining at Cellar Bistro when we visit Wheaton in the future."

"HAVE BEEN TO CELLAR BISTO SEVERAL TIMES AND HAD GREAT MEALS......WAS NOT SO IMPRESSED THIS TIME....MY STEAK WAS TOUGH AND MEAL WAS LUKE WARM WHEN RECEIVED.....TOOK QUITE A WHILE TO GET OUR FOOD...NOT OVERLY CROWDED AT THE TIME....BUT WITH THAT SAID I WILL GO BACK..."

"My first visit was a great one. The lamb chops with prosciutto bread pudding were fantastic. Live music on Monday night was a nice touch, and the wine list was reasonably priced and approachable. I will definitely be back."

"We had a wonderful time here. The food was great and we went on a Monday when they have a small combo that plays. Music was great and not too loud which was very nice but more of a background sound. Everything we had we loved. We will definitly be back."

"I scheduled a business/personal dinner with a company supplier and good friend. My wife and I were meeting our friend and I wanted to choose a restaurant that was near the hotel that he normal stays at to make it convenient for him to get back to his hotel. I targeted downtown Wheaton as my restaurant area of choice.

After looking at several reviews of some of the many great restaurants in the area, I chose the Cellar Bistro, which my wife and I had never been to, as our culinary target.

We were very surprised to get the service, ambience, quality of food and the bonus of outside seating on a beatiful evening as a result. Of all the restaurants we have frequented in this area, this by far ranks number one. Our friend agrees 100%."
