"had a failure to communicate with the server. We ordered 2 different items and she heard something else and brought it, must have been lost in translation. Ask for onion rings got asperagus because she thought we said greens?????"

"The food was absolutely wonderful at The Cedars Social! The drinks were amazing as well. My only disappointment with the restaurant was that their menu online was not the same as the menu once we arrived. It is much more expensive than their online menu lets on. Again, the food and drinks were great, but their menu needs updating. All in all, it was a wonderful night!"

"This was my first time dining at The Cedars Social. I'd been several times before for drinks and the service never disappointed. Dinner was no exception. We were promptly seated on a Friday night at 8:30p despite being a packed house. At the recommendation of our server, we tried the heirloom tomato and buratta app. Amazing. For my entree, I ordered the roasted chicken and my boyfriend tried the fried chicken - they
were both great. We also shared the truffle Mac and cheese - i'm going back just to eat the dish again. Overall, the experience was great and I'd recommend anyone try it. Plus, they serve killer drinks that will make you linger long after dinner is over - another plus in my book."

"Not impressed. Place goes for a dated 60's look and goes too far--looks like it has not been cleaned sinced the 60's--the word grimy comes to mind. OT says they have free parking, but this is not true-lot is a pay lot. Went for brunch and menu was very limited. At the end of the day there are many great places in Dallas and this is not one of them. Won't be back."

"I have been here a few times and I can't say enough good things. The cocktails are creative and excellent. The food is also creative and tastes amazing. The place is a hip laid back vibe. The service is personal and attentive. Plus, the servers really know their food and cocktails.
Make the drive and find this hot spot... I highly recommend it."

"This is a fantastic find directly across from South Side on Lamar. Great drinks, good food, energetic ambiance. Definitely loud, though. Had to yell to be heard by the end of the table when I went with 9 friends to celebrate my BDay. And it took a while to get drinks once the restaurant became packed. Even with that, it was a great experience. I definitely recommend for a fun night out."

"I chose Cedars Social for a birthday outing with friends based on several good reviews I had read and their elaborate cocktail menu. The setting was upscale yet fun. The food menu was adventurous while well priced and the cocktail menu lived up to the high expectations set. The service was AWFUL! While the entire staff was charming and apologetic there were just too few of them. In the three and a half hours I was there I was only able to get 2 of the storied cocktails. The food came out totally piece meal which is fine for small plates but not for entrees. We had a reservation, were only a party of 5, and this was a Wednesday night! I was so disappointed. I hope they get their staffing situation resolved."

"This was my third time and I had invited a few co-workers this time. I prepped them on what to expect prior to arriving so that they would expand their mind and appreciate the experience. The drinks were simply outstanding. If you are looking for a different drinking experience, this is your place. I am always impressed with the extensive selections which allows one to step out of their "usual" comfort zone, try something new and declare it a new favorite. I will be back."

"The food was beyond the delicious... the service was AWFUL. I had to repeatedly ask for refills, we couldn't find her when we wanted to order more food, when we wanted the check and when we wanted to pay. She was on permanent vacation from our table."
