  • "I am a lobster lover. Each order is served perfectly! The staff is genuinely friendly and professional."

  • "We have eaten at the Carmel room on several occasions and each time we were impressed with the prompt and attentive service along with the delicious food. It's our favorite restaurant."
    Dined on 3/31/2014
  • "We were seated on time by the maitre d' who took my wife by the arm and escorted us to our table in a charming curtained alcove. Our waiter was thoroughly friendly yet professional. The menu was standard steakhouse fare with prices that were more than reasonable. The room was understated and quietly elegant. Our food arrived at just the right time. We were neither neglected nor hovered over. My wife order the petite prime rib and it was enormous! It is now our go-to steakhouse."

  • "Host was very attentive. Our waiter gave us very slow service. My lobster was over cooked. Reastaurant needs a good cleaning and revamping."

  • "Rupert made my birthday celebration very enjoyable. We all were delighted at our food choices and were pleased to meet the chef Megan. We will go back soon!"

  • "From the friendly greeting at the podium and the escort on Terry's arm to our secluded table, this was another excellent dining experience at one of my favorite steak house restaurants in Las Vegas. We all had the lobster special and the tails were large and perfectly cooked, served with delicious green beans and, of course, the melted butter. A salad before and a souffle after tied up this lovely meal with first-rate (but unobtrusive) service."

  • "To me this restaurant is used for special times because I can always count on great service and good food. Unfortunately it is a little price for me on a routine basis since I am retired with a limited income."
    Dined on 3/5/2014
  • "We have been regulars at the Carmel room for many years now. Over the past 6 months the Carmel room has evolved in to being our favorite places to eat and spend the evening at by fat. The food and sevice are very special."

  • "From the arrival at the restaurant to the end of the meal, my wife and I were treated to excellent service. The food was great. We have dined at the Carmel Room several times and enjoyed every minute there."

  • "Service was very good; however, the steak & lobster were not up to par. The lobster was good but the steak was not very good. Plus a wine list was not presented and selection was poor."

  • "This is a great find! Celebrated out anniversary here. The wait staff was ver attentive. Rupert and Armondo were wonderful. Very friendly. The food was excellent. My steak was so tender and perfectly cooked. We will definitely be going back. And it's right up the street from our house!"

  • "The filet was overcooked medium rare became done and the scallops were rubber and not cleaned well to much grit."
    Dined on 1/23/2014
  • "I love this restaurant, it is moderately priced for the quality, service is always top notch led by Maitre'D Terry. We had the mixed grill and lobster and both were perfectly cooked, and the sauce for the shrimp and scallops is delicious. Ended dinner with sharing a mixed souffle and it was absolutely one of the best in the valley, including those at high end french restaurants we have been to. I love the semi-private rooms available."

  • "This is a lovely restaurant with a very accommodating staff who has a lot of attention to detail. They really want to make sure that you have a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience."

  • "The evening at the Carmel Room was outstanding! Excellent service, food was presented well and delicious! Complimentary birthday cake was a nice touch. Rupert our waiter was fantastic."

  • "As always, the dining at Carmel was first-rate----from being greeted at the door until dinner was over, a truly great experience. The level of service was wonderful, and the food, of course, was outstanding--perfectly prepared and presented."

  • "The Service was great, the food needs quality improvement badly. When ordering a 36.00 dinner for steak it should be very good. My experience has been the rib eye had so much fat through the whole steak! I know it has some but not like what we have had there. Chief needs to be a little concern of what goes out at these prices. 3 of us ordered filet M and we all had from small to lge portions. What is wrong with this picture when they all go to the same table? In the past year the quality of steaks needs great improvement. I have had earned some comps but remember, that does not mean its FREEE because i have spent alot of $ to get that comp. I dont know if the chief thinks that it is necessary to cut back on quality."

  • "Excellent dining experience with top notch service, lots of attention and awesome food. The staff took the time to recognize our special event and made us feel quite special throughout the entire meal. Price is surprisingly reasonable for this level of restaurant."

  • "This hidden gem is hidden inside the Rampart casino. The menu has a lot of variety & the prices are in line with other steakhouses in the area. The onion soup was delicious and the king cut prime rib was amazing! But what stood out the most, was the service! The staff is AWESOME! From the maitre d to the servers, everyone is so nice and attentive!!!! I haven't had service this good in a long time."

  • "Our steaks were great....and the side dishes were good."

  • "The first thing we need to say is that Tariq, the host, made the evening. Our waiters were not very friendly nor were they attentive. They seemed to be a bit under-staffed so the waiters were a bit strung out. The steak & lamb were amazing. The appetizers left a bit to be desired for the price in comparison to other fine dining restaurants. The desserts were creative and delicious. Overall, it was a great experience, but I must say that Tariq is the one who made the experience great, otherwise besides the entrees the experience would have beed sub-par."

  • "Excellent gourmet food for the discriminating palate! The dining experience was private, relatively quiet with superb (but not overbearing) service. We loved the ambiance which was a perfect way to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary..."

  • "I always enjoy the food and ambience at The Carmel Room, food is always good. Visit before last was marred by a waiter who wanted to argue with my dining partner, not just once but a few times. This past Saturday we asked to sit in the 'younger waiter's area' and it made all the difference in the world. Our wait staff were two young men that we called Team Bentley - their names blended..... What a greyt evening. We will ask for Team Bentley each and every time from here on out!"

  • "I like the old Vegas feel and the quiet ambiance of this restaurant. I have no complaints about any of the dishes and the service is usually top notch. Unfortunately this was not the case the last time. We had to ask for pepper, lemons, coffee, and the complimentary celebration cake. I would have had another glass of wine but the empty glass was ignored and was even left on the table when everything else was cleared. The staff seemed more concerned about setting up empty tables even thought no one was waiting. I will return as the food is worth it."

  • "We had family in town and wanted to give them a great dining experience, and they got it at the Carmel Room. The front of the house was wonderful and the service impeccable! Food what can I say soo tender, melted in my mouth. If you want great food, ambience and service, the Carmel Room is where you should go. We will definitely return again and again! Thank you Carmel Room"

  • "We have been going to the Carmel Room for some time and have enjoyed it. Unfortunately, they have decided to eliminate some things such as the olive and oil relish they had on the table with the bread and portion sizes have been reduced. They use beautiful large square plates, but the food size is so small it looks ridiculous and the large plates emphasizes it small size. We had taken some friends with us and we were embarrassed because we had told them how much we enjoyed going there but had to apologize for the food. The service however is still outstanding. And, it seems prices have gone up. We probably will not return."

  • "My wife and I went to celebrate my birthday. I have eaten at the Carmel Room many times, but my latest visit was the worst of the lot. My wife's veal cutlet arrive at room temperature. My 10 oz Filet was not as tender as it should have been. It may be some time before I revisit, if ever. Needless to say, I was disappointed."

  • "As a former New Yorker, I miss the quiet, out-of-the-way spots we knew we could count on for perfection, no matter how often we went there. The CARMEL ROOM is one of those spots ... perfect every time we visit."

  • "Happily we found that Andre was our server - he's the best and he knows the wine list like the back of his hand. Two of us enjoyed the Mixed Grill and two had the daily special. Onion soup was salty so Andre whisked it away and brought me the daily soup, chicken noodle which was classic, meaty and excellent. Three shared one souffle and declared themselves very happy with it. Altogether a lovely meal in very nice surroundings."

  • "We wanted steak and salad. The menu posted on the web helped me decide. I didn't realize it was that expensive. We dined on a corporate account 3 years ago so I was familiar with the Carmel Room... The cousin and her husband stayed at Vdara and wanted fine dining..."

  • "Terry was the gracious host as always and Rupert provides outstanding service."

  • "The waiters were great. Very helpful with entree suggestions as I am vegetarian. I do not eat meat, chicken or fish. The Chef did an excellent joh of creating a dish for me. Friendly. The atmosphere and lighting was very nice."

  • "For the price we paid for two people ($160) - not worth it. The reason we went here was convenience of location. If we find another (good) steakhouse in the neighborhood, we'll go there next time. ONLY because the steak wasn't great & definitely not worth the price. The staff was the BEST part of the restaurant."

  • "We have been to The Carmel Room several times and have enjoyed it. Our visits are far and few between but we typically order the same dishes from previous visits. With this being said, our center of the plate entree order was the 10 oz filet Mignon. When the dish arrived, we were served a different cut of beef (more of a 6 oz Rib Eye - I work for a major food distributor so I am familiar with the difference). Under the impression that perhaps the waiter misunderstood the order, nothing was mentioned about the dish when it was served. After the dish was consumed and upon receiving our bill, we discovered that we were billed for the 10 oz Filet Mignon."
