  • "Celebrated my mom's birthday here. I noted it in my reservation, they put small decorations on our table, the wait staff told my mom happy birthday and they even gave us complimentary dessert! Service was excellent! Food was superb as well. We ordered the dry-aged 14 oz ribeye ($58) and Chilean sea bass. The steak was terrific. The sea bass was the biggest piece I've ever seen, also the most expensive at $44. We also had sautéed spinach ($12) as a side. Great service and food and classy environment, AND complimentary valet! One thing that I did not like was the fact that they use electronic candles."

  • "There were five of us and we enjoyed our meals. The portions were a good size and the service was excellent. I started with the lobster bisque, which was very thick and had many pieces of lobster. The others each had steak, but I had one of the specials: Salmon Oscar. There was a lot of crab on top of the salmon, and I enjoyed my meal."

  • "Won't go too much in detail about food because I'm not a food critic, I have my own acquired taste but the menu offers just about variety of options if you're not a huge steak lover. I'm not head over heals about steak but the Bon-In Kona Crusted T-Bone was just tough enough with juice in every bite. The filet mignon was so easy to cut thru and cooked just how I requested (medium with just enough pink in the middle... It was pink). The service was superb. I do recommend dressing up but I saw people wearing tasteful casual wear and got by. It's really dim lighting, very intimate but is saw big groups of 5-7. Love the decor, fits well and not over the top. Dessert... Cheesecake and the flour less chocolate cake was on point after a heavy meal"

  • "We visited the Capital Grille for lunch during restaurant week. The clam chowder was very good but could have been served hotter. The sirloin steak salad was very tasty as were the desserts. Unfortunately, we had a small surprise at the end. The price of the wine on the bill was double what we expected to pay - apparently they provided us with an out of date menu where we ordered a wine that they no longer carry but that has a similar name to one that they did carry at twice the cost. The waitress quickly adjusted the bill but we felt awkward about having to mention it. The waitress by the way was wonderful."

  • "My boyfriend and I came here for restaurant week, which is a great deal. Our waitress Karyn was friendly and attentive. I opted to pay a $3 up-charge for the lobster bisque as my appetizer. There were lots of huge chunks of lobster in it, and I was not disappointed. The filet mignon was cooked a perfect medium rare. Creamy mashed potatoes and crisp green beans on the side. The chocolate dessert was rich and creamy. A great treat!"

  • "My family took me to Capital Grill for a birthday steak and the restaurant did not disappoint in any way. The steaks - whatever you chose - are always cooked perfectly, and for a lover of Calamari, you will find none better than here. I have it EVERY time I am there. It is also very nice that when you pick a restaurant for a special occasion dinner, they actually attempt to make it special. It is only little things like table decoration and a personal note, but it shows that they actually pay attention to the occasion. We are fortunate to have many fine steak houses in the Washington metro area, and you can have a fine meal at any one of them. However, when you factor in the ambiance, service, and noise level, Capital Grill wins."

Our server, Marcello, was very educated on what the restaurant had to offer and had wonderful suggestions. The complimentary champagne and dessert for the birthday boy was a wonderful treat and it was only topped by the presentation of a photo of the event at the end of our meal. The meal and evening couldn't have been more festive. It was an A+++ experience! Thank you Capital Grille Tysons."

  • "Capital Grille is one of my favorite restaurants. I was here for lunch. The seared tuna which I ordered on top of a Caesar salad was nothing like the dinner appetizer. It arrived ice cold, completely raw, chewy and tasteless. The shrimp on my friend's salad was also bland and did not taste fresh. I have never been to this location before and I'm not so sure I will try again. Very disappointing."

Nevertheless, the food was outstanding and Walter our server was excellent. Recommend not rushing through explaining the specials, however. If the servers can't explain everything in a timely manner without rushing, then the chef needs to downsize the number of specials being offered."

My boyfriend got raw oysters to start and myelf lobster bisque, both were delicious! We each ordered a great steak and shared lobster mac and cheese. Dinner was complete with a special birthday dessert."

  • "This was our first time at this restaurant. While my husband loved the Delmonico steak entree he had, I don't eat red meat and had the Breast of Chicken Confit. The chicken on my plate was certainly not a breast, there were two legs which were a bit dry and overcooked, very heavily seasoned. The calamari, while tasty, was way too spicy due to the fact they were smothered in peppers. For dessert we tried the seasonal berries in vanilla cream...I guess we were both expecting a nice thick whipped cream topping the berries, but instead it was a sour tasting liquid sitting in the bottom of the bowl. We will not be returning."

Apparently if you go to an expensive steak house on a Saturday night you are not expected to watch your children. It was not a pleasant experience. I'm not sure if I would go back."
