  • "My wife and I had the special bone-in filet. The steak was fantastic. However, we were surrounded by families with out of control children. Apparently if you go to an expensive steak house on a Saturday night you are not expected to watch your children. It was not a pleasant experience. I'm not sure if I would go back."

  • "Steak & salad.... Outstanding. Jimmy and Mousa great as usual"

  • "Perfect place to take someone special for their birthday. Specially decorated table and card await. The complementaty desert serves two and has Happy Birthday inscribed on the plate with chicolate. Jose is super friendly and a real pro for knowing the menu given we were only open to seafood. I wish i didn't have to use valet parking but it was the only choice."

  • "The service was superb and the food was outstanding. Everything flowed very well like a choreographed scene from a fine dining segment. Everyone had a great time!"

  • "I had the steak au poivre. It was cooked perfectly (medium rare, of course); it was tender; it was peppery and delicious. My wife had the glazed salmon, and she agreed that it was excellent. One of the best parts of our experience was our server. Becca was outstanding: she understood everything about the menu; she was there whenever we wanted her to be present; but she never hovered. One last comment: do not overlook the freshly baked bread. This place is expensive, but it's worth the cost on any special occasion."

  • "Capital Grill really knows how to treat business professionals. Invited a new prospective high end customer out to dinner at their Tyson's Corner location this past week and wasn't disappointed at all. Our Waiter was extremely friendly, patient and funny. wish I could remember his name since I would request to be served by him again in the future. I highly recommend dining at Capital Grill for any and all occasions."

  • "Overpriced for average food ($450 for 4 (2 kids) inc tip 1 gin and tonic, one coffee) Gluten free menu fine but rest of menu not as advertised on website (no Wagyu Beef etc) Large seafood platter as a starter was good ($100), Chicken and Steak dishes overcooked and tough. Tuna was good. Special bone in steak was very good. Creme Brule was good - enormous chocolate cake slice was 4 times the size needed. Ended up bagging the cake and vegetables. Excessive spend on $2 bottled water (no sparkling despite request). Over involved wait staff kept interrupting conversation with amongst other things photos of vacation 30 years ago - not what I want to do at a restaurant. Old fashioned and not up to standard for price, we won't be back."

  • "Another nice evening at Capital Grille. Husbands bone-in sirloin was cooked perfectly. I tried the new preparation for the Sea Bass. While I wanted something light, the sea bass wasn't flavorful enough to make me forget the porcini rubbed Delmonico I really wanted. Apples and oranges, I know. Ruth's sea bass is better. Tried the new potato dish Oscar. The hollandaise and crab were delicious but why waste them on potatoes? The creamed corn is excellent as well as the au gratin potatoes which can be ordered in a ½ portion. Cheese cake has a lovely preparation individualy sized with ripe berries. This meal is worth the calorie splurge."

  • "Always a treat to eat here. Consistently good food and service. The only minor problem...I say minor because they're usually quick to correct it...is the more frequent appearance of people with small ill mannered children. These are truly disrespectable, inconsiderate customers. They need to take their ill mannered children to a restaurant that doesn't care about its other customers. This is not the place."

  • "Pros: The service was great. The waitress serving us was very helpful and nice and the other staff members were also very nice people. Cons: Parking is horrible. All of the parking in the front was valet parking. I went to this restaurant on a Sunday and I had the choice of parking beneath the restaurant in the garage or valet parking my car. I parked beneath, figuring it would be a short walk to the restaurant. I was wrong. The parking garage elevators and buliding lobby entrance to the restaurant are closed on the weekend. So, I had to walk out of the garage where I drove in, walk around the entire building up a hill, and enter the restaurant from the front. I repeated the same thing afterwards. The food was not great, and pricey warm."

  • "Went for brunch Had 4 decent meals a few drinks. Food was served cold and returned two plates. Bill was 212 without tip and felt I didn't get my monies worth. Believe I got a 145 dollar meal for 212. Wouldn't go back for brunch."

  • "From the time you walk in till the time you leave, everyone very pleasant-helpful and service oriented................ One of our guests left cell phone on table and ran it to the door as we were leaving. Food outstanding...porterhouse one of the best!"

  • "Service was excellent. All of the hostesses were very friendly. The spinach salad was the best I ever tasted. The baked chicken was ok. The mac-n-cheese lobster could use a little more flavor in some way. The bread basket was routine."

  • "Things didn't exactly turn out like they usually do at this Fine Establishment, but I must say Gordon did ALL the right things to correct the situation, and that speaks volumes. Will definitely return when back in the area, solely due to Gordon's efforts to make that happen. Capitol Grill has an excellent reputation which is well deserved. The best steak restaurant my family and I have ever been too, time and time again. There are always some bumps in the road, how they are handled makes all the difference and Gordon certainly went over and above with his sincerity and genuine concern to make it right."

  • "The food is always consistently good. Service was great sat in Angela's section and her ability to recall her customers is amazing. The only complaint I have is not having key lime pie on the dessert menu. "

  • "We ate at Capital Grille for Wife's birthday. When we arrived our table was decorated, and Capital Grille had a birthday card waiting for her. Capital Grille included a free desert, with candles, and “Happy Birthday” stenciled in chocolate on the serving plate. Nice touch. Great food/service, reasonably priced, and Capital Grille is in a prime location for a Birthday Girl to do a little shopping before and/or after a nice lunch. Excellent experience."

  • "This is our go to restaurant for special occasions. The staff is top notch, the food is unparalleled, and the wine list definitive. We don't eat here often, but when the occasion calls for everything to be spot on, we choose Capital Grille in Tysons."

  • "This is our second Easter at Capital Grille and while the food was very good, we definitely missed the buffet that they had before. The kids menu choices were not that great and our kids ended up eating off our plates, so that was a little disappointing. The food was very good though."

  • "Hi Everything was lovely, menu, service, seating. However two of my parties filet mignons were rare, not pink throughout, but almost inedible. I imagine the kitchen was overwhelmed with the dining load and this was atypical. Thank you."

  • "My husband and I took his parents to the Capital Grille for my father-in-law's 80th birthday. When we arrived, there were birthday decorations on the table as well as a card and we were given complimentary champagne. Our server, Coach, was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive the entire evening. Food was excellent, mine and my father-in-law's filets were cooked to perfection, as was my hubby's Dry Aged Steak au Poivre with Courvoisier Cream and mom-in-law's halibut. Everything done to perfection and quite tasty. Father-in-law was also treated to birthday dessert on the house. Thank you Capital Grille for making this a perfect evening from start to finish!"

  • "Our waiter Dustin greeted us warmly, asked if we were there for a special occasion and when we told him it was our 28th anniversary he returned to table with complimentary, pineapple vodka drinks that were refreshing! We then moved to our appetizer of french onion soup and spinach salad, followed by the most perfect and deliciously cooked steak I'd ever eaten. My husband's dry aged steak was amazing and the 15 year old balsamic glaze topped it off and my coffee encrusted steak drizzled with butter was insanely good - both suggested by our waiter and we were glad we listened to him! Our waiter then served us complimentary desert and took a picture of us as a keepsake! A true treasure and night we won't forget. We'll be back for sure!"

  • "We were greeted somewhat offhandedly but we were seated immediately in a lovely booth. Drinks and bread appeared shortly after we ordered them. One drink was incorrect and the error was corrected in a timely manner and the waiter was very apologetic. Appetizers, salads and entrees were very good and the coconut cream pie is one if the reasons that I return to the Capital Grille. The staff is uniformly efficient, pleasant and makes the experience quite enjoyable."

  • "I had been looking forward to eating at The Capital Grill for over 6 years. The atmosphere was amazing. Everyone was friendly and professional. The menu looked great. I started with the lobster bisque. While we were waiting they brought us bread and butter. The bread was OK and the butter was more like margarine. When the soup came it was cold and did not taste good at all. It did have a lot of lobster meat. I ordered the bone in rib eye with mashed potato's and asparagus. My son ordered filet and crab legs. The presentation was good and service was prompt. My steak was good but had a very strong sauce under it that tasted like a beef bullion cube. The potato's were good but plain."
