Nice supper club type music in the background which was a perfect fit for dining. Our meal was wonderful -- and dessert was a nice surprise - a cheesecake I really enjoyed -- light filling, tender crust, bruleed topping. Very nice. We will definitely return. "

  • "Time after time, the food is always perfect! The steaks are cooked to perfection and so tender. If you want a good steak, this is the place to come. Our friends often order the salmon and they say the cooks do magic with this as well. The service is great, the wonderful bread and butter, only wish we could eat it all. Their desserts are just as delicious. The flourless chocolate cake is my favorite, my friend always orders the creme brulee. Service is outstanding."

  • "Four of us visited during Seattle Restaurant Week. First time here and we found that the Capital Grill definitely lived up to its hype as a five star dining venue. The porcini encrusted filet mignon was the most appealing of the three entree choices, so all of us had the same entree but all ordered a little different doneness. All arrived cooked perfectly and were absolutely some of the most tender and tasty steaks most of us could remember ever having. Excellent side dishes tempting deserts and a particularly nice Bordeaux added to most memorable dinning experience."

  • "I've been to many steakhouses in Seattle and this was probably one of the more disappointing ones. My standards for my steak may be a little higher, but I do expect excellence when I go to a steakhouse as popular the Capital Grille. First off, ambiance and service were top notch. Food was where they fell flat. Though I went for SRW, I still ordered the Delmonico (I usually go for the ribeye in any steakhouse). My date had the Tenderloin from SRW . We both ordered med-rare because, that's the only way to eat steak. Unfortunately, even though it came out 60-75 minutes into our dinner, the steaks were mostly cooked except for the very middle. The lip of my ribeye was toast. Beef quality seemed mediocre, which is probably why they use sauces. "

  • "This is the 2nd time my boyfriend and I came to this restaurant. The ambiance was romantic and classy, perfect for an high-end steak house. For some reason, the steak didn't taste as good as I remember so when I first tried it, but it's still very decent, flavorful dried-age steak. Definitely top of the list in Seattle. My server Louis was exceptional, he's kind, smart, and attentive. The best kind of service you could ask for, I'll make sure to look for him next time I'm back to Capital Grill."

  • "When the Waitstaff have their own business cards, the place has got to be great right? Well it was. We came for Seattle Restaurant Week. I had the Caesar, BF had the Field Greens, both wonderful salads to start. We both ended up picking the Filet Mignon... Melt in your mouth fantastic. He ended up with the Sorbet which was strawberry for that day. I had the Creme Brulee which was way better than his. Sooo good. I was in heaven. Only minor complaints would be the corner where we sat, while very secluded and romantic, it was quite dark and somewhat hard to read the menu. And then of course, as in all fine dining restaurants, the drinks were expensive! But to be expected.. Would definitely come back!"

  • "We don't typically go to steakhouses, and restaurant week gave us the push to try Capital Grille. However, after the experience I don't think we will be back. I don't want to dis on the food though, it was great. Everything we ate, especially the steaks, were delicious and expertly seasoned, cooked exactly right. The service was merely alright, and I can't blame the wait staff. They did an excellent job with what they had to work with, which was an overly-crowded room, and having to get through too many diners. We felt like cattle. Additionally, the menu upsold us to get vegetables with our steaks, not exactly the restaurant week experience we had expected. We won't be back for regular dining when there are better options downtown."

  • "We went during Restaurant Week, had an 830pm reservation. We had to wait just 5 minutes for our table. We were seated in a comfy booth. My fiancé ordered the 3 course special, I ordered a salad. Wonderful atmosphere and service right from the start. Amazing amazing service throughout the evening, love the atmosphere of the restaurant. Excellent food, we are still raving about this restaurant, and cannot wait to go back. Thank you Capital Grille for a wonderful evening. Our compliments especially go out to the Manager CRAIG who provided above and beyond service."

  • "We arrived about 15 minutes early for a 6PM reservation on a Thursday. It was very crowded. Maitre de offered the bar while we waited for a table. Bar was busy and full. We were lucky to be near a couple just leaving that had earlier been given to them by a nice guy. We ordered Gret Goose martinis, which were delicious. They transferred the bar bill to our dinner tab when we were retrieved to our table. The food and wine were great! The fillet and salad were excellent! Great waiter (Daniel) offered a great suggestion for wine. No discount if your order a bottle -vs- by the glass. Guess there's a first time for everything. Would go back, but still prefer smaller places like "CROW""

  • "Four of us decided to celebrate my wife's birthday at Capital Grille. They were extremely busy when we arrived, possibly due to Seattle Restaurant Week promotion, so we waited in the bar area, which itself was lively. We did not get seated until a half hour after our reservation time, so the manager apologized profusely and offered us an appetizer on the house. When we were shown to our table, it was very nicely decorated with little confetti and there was a hand-written birthday card for my wife. Very nice touch! The meal was excellent, the service impeccable, and to round it all off, the waiter brought my wife a free dessert platter to share. A Class Act all around!"

In our case, it's a quiet corner because of a hearing impairment. We don't have to ask, they already know. They always welcome us back.   • "This was a surprise birthday for my husband and it was absolutely flawless. The table was scattered with confetti and we were served complimentary champagne upon our arrival. The lobster that Rick had was amazing and cooked to perfection. I had the ahi tuna and it was prepared perfectly. The service was excellent. We had eaten lunch a month ago here and this will be a regular dining place for us. The following day we received a call from the restaurant wanting to know how we enjoyed our dining experience!! These people really care!!"

  • "I come to this restaurant often, particularly with other co-workers and business guests, our office is across the street. Our two favorite servers had the night off and our dining experience suffered. It took 30 minutes after sitting down to receive our drinks. The quality of the food and drinks were great as always but everything seemed to take much longer than usual. My steak was grossly under-cooked (ordered Medium and it came out purple and cold in the center). They were able to reheat and ended up taking it off the bill, which was nice, but the overall service was a disappointment. If this was my first time at the restaurant I probably wouldn't come back. A tip to diners would be to find a server or two you like and stick with them."
