The waiter (Nick) was so charming and knowledgeable, and made the experience so much better by adding in complimentary touches. The Filet Mignon was cooked to perfection and my entire party has been raving about the meal since we left the restaurant. My birthday was memorable thanks to the staff here and I would recommend this for a nice night out, a special occasion dinner, and of course any celebration with a large group. Thank you so much."

  • "Visited for Restaurant Week. I never knew plain rare sirloin steak could be so tender. Sliced bite-sized for ease of consumption. The spinach and shallot salad that sat next to it was a nice contrast, but they put in too much vinegar and it was too sour. My friend got grilled salmon and I tried it. The seasoning was out of this world. A sweet, crisp, and lemony outer shell was so perfect. The inside was thoroughly cooked, however, which I did not like. Salmon is best barely cooked and tender. It was still delicious and my friend loved it like food from heaven but I think it could be better. The clam chowder and cream cheese cake was ok, but the chocolate expresso cake was too strong & sweet to eat. Well-kept upscale place,formal,nice feel."

  • "The food was excellent, the Lobster and Crab meat burger to die for - Lump crab meat and chunks of lobster. As well as in the lobster bisque - OMG. The server was very friendly, courteous and knowleageble - suggested an excellent wine and allowed us to taste before selecting the bottle. A bit on the pricey side, but worth every "dollar". A nice treat from the ordinary lunch, when you're looking for something extraordiary."

Of course the server put my steak in front of my fiancée and gave me the chicken (because I'm a girl I should automatically prefer chicken?!), but everything was delicious. My filet mignon was paired with mushrooms and onions and was heavenly! The service was friendly and attentive and we really enjoyed ourselves."

  • "We went to this location for lunch at 12 noon. Very few people at the restaurant yet. It took 29 minutes for a burger and steak sandwich to come. We were offered free dessert for the wait but because of the wait we had to rush eating our lunch and could not have coffee or dessert because I had a client that I had to get back to the office for. If lunch had come in a timely manner we would have been able to enjoy everything."

The Hostesses were charming, as indeed were the barstaff, and the lovely Amy that looked after us great fun and very knowledgable. After all that, the food did not disappoint. The spicy Calamari were delicious and the steaks were as tasty as we were promised they would be. A wonderful wine list that I will look forward to giving a proper run for its money at some point on a special occasion. We thoroughly enjoyed it and are already looking forward to our next visit.   • "I had a meeting at the bar and my family at a table and juggled the two back and forth. The waitress made a definitive, concerted effort to help me juggle the two. If you bring your kids, they take them to the kitchen to let them help with their own desserts and give them chef hats. My kids always think it's the coolest thing."

And the wait staff (Frederik Magalona was attentive and quite speedy all in all a gem). The food is what I always come back for because it is, and was, delicious. The birthday dessert was delicious."

  • "I love the crew at Cap Grille, but will not be back on the weekends. While the service is normally top notch, the bartender was not set up for success by having the bar, and the cocktail area and the service bar by himself. In my opinion, one person cant handle that even on a slower Saturday night. Adding insult was the manager doing inventory right in front of us and our empty drinks while he watched the bartender trying to keep up. Not the service I have become use to there, though its on the management and not the staff."

  • "I've dined at Capital Grille Wall St several times and will visit again. The service is always good. The calamari and lamb chops we ordered were great. The sea bass was a bit fishy and overpriced for its simplicity (just served over broth with a few tomatoes). It's the only dish I ever regretted ordering at capital grille. This dish should be changed or removed from the menu."

  • "They clearly had a corner of the downstairs area where they were seating restaurant week patrons. Our table was next to the coat room so there were constantly people standing next to our table. Then, we were informed that they had "run out" of the signature Kona steak for the restaurant week. And they were out of all bottles of wine <$100. Fine. But between ordering right away so as not to miss getting our second choice dishes and the 4 bottles of wine they did not have, our wine showed up after the first course. It had not opened up to be drinkable until after dessert came. It was a lovely bottle but it needed some attention which we did not receive. It's sad when restaurant week patrons are treated badly. Not becoming a go-to as hoped."

  • "This was not my first time at Capital Grille but it may be my last. I arrived to see a crowd of people standing by the hostess waiting to be seated. The restaurant was having seating issues even though I could see many open tables. Upon being seated, we were not given a drinks menu and we had to ask for one when the waiter asked us if we wanted to order a drink. How do we know what we want to drink if we don't get a menu? They ran out of martini glasses (how does a restaurant run out of glasses) and served our martinis in a cup. They also ran out of the steak that we wanted to order. How does a steakhouse run out of steak? And when dessert came, they ran out of forks. The waiter made us look at our dessert for 10 minutes before we got forks"
