My family and I went for lunch on the weekend we stayed at the Diplomat. By no means should you go out of your way to eat here. By that I mean, don't even trouble yourself to don a cover-up. Go ahead and eat at the Splash since there is nothing remarkable about this menu. I had a nice and friendly waiter. My son's pasta and chicken dish was bland and tasteless to me though he ate it. I guess it's good enough for a child. I had the turkey club. It had a nice avocado ranch sauce and the bread was perfectly crisp. My husband had the cheeseburger. All the food had good taste, it was just not remarkable. Just don't travel to eat there. However, I do want to say that we had very nice and friendly service!

Nice location. Nice view. Nice restaurant. Prices too high. But food was good. Wish we could have been allowed to walk the grounds and take in some fresh ocean air but security wouldn't let you through unless you were staying at the hotel. I think if you're dining at the restaurant and are not wearing bathing suits, therefore you're not looking to go to the pool or to the beach, you should be allowed to show your restaurant receipt and walk along the outside of the hotel to admire the view.

The only significant criticism I have us that gratuity was included. That seems a bit odd for breakfast for two.
