the C restaurant + barWonderful ExperienceI will start this off by saying I'm very stingy with my 5 stars. Perfection is hard to achieve. That being said The C came close. Portioning was spot on. Left satisfied. I had the scallops. Absolutely marvelous. My wife had the sturgeon. Sturgeon on a menu is not common and my wife raved about it. On a bed of lentils. Reminded her of a risotto with more tooth.
Service was remarkable. Pleasant, professional, unobtrusive. If Diane is working the night you go, ask for one of her tables.
View of the bay is very appealing. Makes the restaraunt feel larger than it is. Sitting next to the window you don't notice other diners necessarily. Feels more intimate.
Guitarist playing helped with the intimate atmosphere.

The service especially from our waitress, Diane was excellent she is one of the best that we have ever seen. She is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful with a cheerful disposition. The bartender, Luis is also great to deal with and friendly. We had a party of 6 and were seated right by the windows with a gorgeous view of the Monterey Bay! With such a view, some restaurants might take the easy way out and skimp on food or quality; not the case here! The portions were perfectly filling and the entire table was more than pleased with each of their meals. We've each vowed to come back soon. Salvador was our waiter and made our experience so much more personal and relaxing. Great food, great service, easy (free) valet parking! I had the roasted chicken breast and it was perfect. I also tried bites of the scallops and rib-eye and all was melt-in-your-mouth delicious.
