I came here on a Saturday for
lunch. It was the first weekend it had been fairly warm outside (still February though) so we wanted to sit outside. After realizing we were colder than expected under the shade we asked to have the outdoor heaters turned on we were told that they were for the winter only.... February is winter. It took 20 minutes for someone to give us water and silver ware, another 20 for our food.. We all got burgers and asked for them to be medium well and they were all well well over done. The Thai burger was a chewy hockey puck of over cooked meat loaf. The bacon cheeseburger would of been great if it hadn't been so over done. The place has a pretty view for what it is. I'll never be coming back though."

This was our second visit.
Disappointed with food the first time, but thought we'd give it another try. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and has somewhat of upgrade ambiance. The service was good. Steak over cooked and tough. In edible. The bison burger over cooked and dry. They did comp us our steak meal and apologized profusely, but we won't go to eat again. The sports bar was hopping! May go just for drinks sometime."

We've been to Bungalow 4 or 5
times now. The food is consistently good, but the service is what leaves us wondering... On our most recent trip, our waiter had an attitude when I questioned the cocktail presented vs. what I ordered. We have had other experiences that were better so we'll keep trying before giving up. Our other smaller complaint is cocktail value. I'm a Bombay martini guy, so you can't really screw that up, but I expect to pay $13 for a martini at McCormick and Schmick, Clydes or Mon Ami Gabi, not at Bungalow Lakehouse. My wife's cosmo was more reasonably priced but was pretty light on vodka... I mean real light...."

My family came to visit from New
York City. I wanted to find a restaurant that would compare to New York's finest.... Lakehouse did just that. It was a great place to bring them. Not only was the food presented beautifully it tasted delicious. The wine was top notch. It was also very pleasant to carry on a conversation without having to shout across the table. The prices were appropriate for what we recieved. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Our waiter was helping a large party when we came in so 2 other staff members helped us with drinks and bread until Lloyd could help us. He was excellent at his job. The whole experience was A plus!"

My girlfriend and I were extremely
pleased by the meal we had. Our server, Chester, was very helpful and friendly. He made great recommendations and our food was delicious. Chester even recommended some nearby wineries which we may enjoy visiting. The tenderloin was cooked to perfection and the salmon was amazing. The brownie sundae was great too. We would definitely recommend The Bungalow Lakehouse and would go back during our next visit to the area."

My fiance and I had an amazing
dinner here this past weekend. From the hostess to our server we had exceptional service. This can be romantic or casual, truly a wonderful atmosphere!"

First visit and pleasantly
surprised with the food and service. Will definitely be back."

Although the place was only 25-50%
full, it took longer than I expected to receive our entrees. Good thing we had an appetizer!"

I'll start by saying they have a
lovely dining room & friendly staff. Waiter was very nice. That, I'm afraid is the best of the comments. We were seated at a table that was still wet from the last clean up; had to ask for it to be dried. Crab dip appetizer was heavy on the cream cheese & sparse on the crab. Unpleasant soft baguette slices to go with it. Ordered the evening's special, a 'grilled plate' which was a spit link of Andouille sausage, 2 shrimp & a piece of tenderloin which was a scrappy poor quality. The center of the plate had a large portion of spinach fettuccini with a few shredded veggies on top, not very appetizing I'm afraid & it was brought before appetizer was removed. Entree cost.. $28 each! Sorry, but we won't go back!"

We called ahead asking for a
quiet, private table as my wife and I were celebrating a special Saturday night out. Did not meet our expectations. Service was not up to par and the table they chose was near a large party with very young kids. Did not want to make a change and call more attention to us as we were dressed up some and it was obvious this was definitely not a dressy place."

My spouse and I went to Bungalow
Lakehouse with friends for the first time. We had cocktails in the lounge and dinner in the dining room off the lounge. The ambiance was very nice, quieter and "romantic" than on the "sports bar" side of the establishment. The menu is small, but diverse, the food was excellent, and the service was outstanding. My spouse had the special of the day, Sirloin tips and I had their Grilled Scallops and we don't think we ever had any better at any other restaurant. We will definitely be back soon."

The Bungalow Lake House is a very
good place for good food and drink. My fiancé and I tried this restaurant on two very different seasonal occasions. The first time was in the summer and we opted to sit outside to view the lake. What a great experience. The waiter service was spot on and our dining experience was righteous. The second time was in January where we obviously sat inside. We arrived early for our reservation so we sat at the bar and had a couple of drinks and an appetizer. Kevin the bartender was the best. He was funny and anticipated our needs flawlessly. Afterwards we ate our dinner which was a great indoor experience as well. Indoor or out, this is a good spot. Do yourself a favor and try it out. I highly recommend it."

Huge bar that looks like it's a
great place to watch a sports event or listen to live music. We ate in the restaurant but had we known about this area, we'd have eaten there."

Last week, we rec'd a mailer along
with a coupon. We decided to give it a try. We arrived and were pleasantly surprised by the ambiance when we were seated for dinner. My son and husband then wanted to see the rest of the rooms. They were greeted by the owner who then gave them a tour. Our waiter was fantastic (and the others we observed were of the same quality so it wasn't a fluke), the food was outstanding and the timing was perfect. The owners spent time with us and made us feel welcomed. The quiet bar, cigar bar, lunch area, patio seating and happy hour bar area with darts and billiards round out the experience. There is something for everyone there...and we'll be back!"

With reading all the positive
reviews, i thought i'd give this place a try. Had reservations on Friday evening. Mediocre food. Don't understand AT ALL why there are such good reviews. this place is trying to be something that is it simply not. Sure, it's kind of cool, and i'm sure it's really neat to sit out in the patio in the summer. But other then that, I cannot understand why people are giving it such highreviews. My girlfriends martini glass came half empty. The food was not bad, but not good by any means. Our calamari appetizer consisted mostly of breading, and onion rings for some weird reason. Service was slow, although it seemed as though it was just for us (we were a younger couple and waiter made assumptions)."

It took a Long time for the food
to come out. We had a new guy work our table by himself but he did a great job. Food was very surprisingly good. Id go back"

We entertained a couple from out
of town. We all loved the appetizers of crab dip & yes, fried pickles! I had the lobster / crab ravioli... Rich, but delightful! The men had the tenderloin -- perfectly cooked for each!! The other had the salmon... she seemed to enjoy it, but didn't get the raves the tenderloin did. Our waiter was very knowledgeable, ambience in our area was great for quiet talk, business talk, whatever. We didn't go the bar, but at 6:30pm on Friday night, it was busy and seemed to be very popular! There were kids in the dining area, but it wouldn't be my first choice to take children.... 1) expense of the meal, 2) I wouldn't want to disturb other diners in this particular environment."

First time here and overall it was
quite excellent, from the service to the food. Wine selection is rather limited and they don't have blender drinks (which my wife prefers), thus we tried the old standbys of vodka cranberries and jack and coke, well done. We had the chicken wraps for appetizer and my wife loved it. The salads was a bit large so we could have split it. For main course the beef tenderloins and kobe beef were quite good. Dessert offerings were rather limited in appeal, we tried the cherry crisp, it was good if a bit overly bitter. We would plan to go back and try some of the fish and chicken courses."

Whether you are having dinner or
drinks with a bunch of friends, this place is a gem. Restaurant is very nice, with wood paneling, and a lodge-type feel. In the back is a monstrous sports bar area (separate from the main dining), so if you want to catch a game or shoot some pool, you have made a good choice. Good is classic American grill fare but well presented. Burgers were delicious, and you need to try the fried pickles! Service was outstanding, but it was a snowy January night, so it was a little slow. We will definitely try it again!"

We have eaten here a few times,
with & w/o a reservation. We booked a reservation for New Years Eve early seating (Appx 6 PM) so that the service would be well paced, the food hot & fresh & we could eat at a relaxed pace. We ordered with our server Chester who may have been new or newer because he had a bit of problem getting the order right... yet after a little bit he began to smile for a moment & relax, our bread was brought after our appetizers! LOL Anyhow, our appetizer was the eggplant w/shrimp & scallops & a very thin sauce, it was too oily & the sauce was thin it needed to be reduced more. The taste overall wasn't bad but it wasn't the quality that we got in the past, also our main courses were disappointing. We paid & left.EOM"

We have eaten here several times.
Service is always good. Food not so good. We go with a food group to restaurants and we were the ones to taste this place. Since service is good we tried several times. Would go to the bar area and sit outside or by a window since there is a nice lake view. But I would not recommend the restaurant area because the food doen't warrant the price."

We picked the Bungalow Lakehouse
because of its location and was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. The Salmon and Tuna dishes were excellent - very good quality fish, well prepared and well presented. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Service was very attentive. We will need to come back in the warmer months to try out the outdoor seating over the lake."

First time back to the Lakehouse
in a few months and found a new chef had been put in charge. Dining room is still a mixed bag with some hit and miss food. The chile appetizer was very nice but the lamb gyro left a lot to be desired with tasteless, fatty leg of lamb on a soggy pita. The prices are high for the area and certainly high for the quality. I believe that this restaurant needs to find a direction and maybe "dumb it down" to succeed."
Dined on 12/27/2013
There was a large party in the
middle of the dining room, and very loud, so we asked to be moved. We sat in the small bar which had 4 or 5 people.. The bartender was our server and did a great job. It was quieter than the loud party but the overflow noise from the large bar area (football games going on) was a bit distracting. The menu is interesting and has a good variety (my wife is a veggie). The food was very good at a decent price. This is an interestng place in that is has the large sports bar in the back and hint of upscale restaurant in the front. I would go back for the sports bar on game days and the restaurant on "sports quiet" nights."

Don't go looking for old
favorites. Small appetizers on tray--gone. Roast Chicken--gone. Blueberry (and others) dessert--gone. In their place: out of a box pretzel app that looked and tasted nuked with uninspired sauces. Dry "Kobe" steak with square potato puffs looking like tater tots. Scallops with undercooked potatoes (and one scallop containing the salt intended for four). Creme brulee was good, and attractively presented. Service was good, but everyone seemed to be apologizing for the new menu, with good reason! Perhaps some old favorites could have been retained by chef trying to establish new identity. The new menu, even without execution issues, is a move toward ordinary."

Went to the Bungalow expecting a
burger joint and was pleasantly surprised. Great decode and ambiance; quite in the dining room and outstanding service. Recommended and I will be back."

We went with our two kids and it
was fabulous. From the burgers to the steak and scallops, all of the food was prepared perfectly, came out quickly, and tasted great. We were in the main dining room, which was nice and quiet, and didn't even notice the happening bar scene going on just feet away. We did smell smoke as soon as we walked in so I didn't have high hopes, but the main dining room was completely smoke free. Sean mentioned they are starting a new wine list next year and I can't wait to go there with my girlfriends for wine tasting and great food. Seam was fantastic with making sure our whole experience was top-notch. It was our first time there and we will definitely go back!"

The steak was good as well as the
service. We were a group of four and everyone enjoyed their meal from steak, to seafood, pasta and sliders. Most unique aspect is a nice sized smoking bar where we enjoyed a cigar after dinner."

This first visit was very
enjoyable. The Bungalow is very large with different dining areas and our request for a quiet table was fulfilled. Other areas were more active/vibrant/noisier. Menu is not especially long and entrees seem a bit pricey since salads are not included. The beef wellington appetizer was sufficient for me as an entrée and done quite nicely. We also enjoyed the pork ramen and pastrami sandwich. Nice selection of beers but a couple selections were not available. We'll come back to try more dishes."

This was a great place to bring my
college room mate after watching a telecast of our school's annual rivalry. We had an enjoyable dinner and we're not encouraged to leave while sitting a while over after dinner coffee. Great food with some unique dishes."

Always enjoy the food here and the
1/2 price bottle of wine Wednesday."
Dined on 11/13/2013
Great spot. Ambience would be 5
star, but I still don't like seeing TV screens while having a "nice" dinner. Brings the "nice" down a notch."
Dined on 11/11/2013
This restaurant has it all; Great
outdoor space, a cigar bar, sports bar, quiet bar and quiet dinner area. Food is wonderful; party had scallops, trout and filet in the dining room. All very yummy!"
Dined on 11/2/2013
Went here for a romantic dinner
for 2 for our anniversary and was surprised by the noise level in the separate dinning area. It was nice to have the bar separate from the dinning but I think we just got unlucky and had a noisy group in with us. But the food was ok a little over priced for the meal but not terrible. Looks like they have a night life on the bar side gonna have to check that out next time."
Dined on 10/26/2013
The bar is lively, don't eat in
there in you want to converse. The restaurant is high quality and the food is excellent."

The place was kind of quiet, but
the service was great. Food was very good. Draft beer selection was the best I have ever seen."

This was my first time visiting
and wish that I had been earlier. ...Super view, nice people and great service."
Dined on 10/11/2013
There were positive reviews of BL
that are perplexing. It bills itself as a nice place and prices reflect it. Aside from the atmosphere, which is ok, everything else was a disaster. We were told that two waitpersons would be sharing our table. One never showed up and one came by infrequently. That was probably a good thing since both wrists were wrapped in gauze sweatbands -- maybe in sympathy with the college football games being played that day, but not a very classy touch. The salads came without dressing or with the wrong dressing. The salmon and the pork shoulder ramen had so much salt they should have passed out a diuretic instead of an after dinner mint. The manager walked by often but seemed oblivious. Avoid the place."
Dined on 10/6/2013
The food was wonderful. We loved
the atmosphere and service. It was a special time. We highly recommend that you try this great restaurant. ."
