The Bungalow Lakehouse
Bungalow Lake House continuesBungalow Lake House continues to exceed expectations. The recent dinner special of soft shell crabs was the best that I have had anywhere.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMPleasantly SurprisedThis was our first time at this local restaurant. We loved the fact that the food was fresh and had great flavor. The appetizers were delicious (calamari, crab cake, 4 kinds of fresh sausage). The salad and entrees that we had were all very good. Scallops A+, Halibut A+, Roasted chicken A+, Pork plate A+. Desserts were delicious - especially the blueberry crisp! I would highly recommend!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, great service,Great food, great service, great atmosphere! We had a wonderful evening with friends. Love the fact that we were not rushed! Love the way that the menu changes periodically.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWelcome to the neighborhood!!We really enjoy coming to this new, and welcome, addition to our neighborhood. It's a bonus that the food is very good and the waiters very friendly and knowledgeable.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMThis time it was very good. This time it was very good. The salmon was very good and so was the pork chop.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMmarvelous dinnerMonday was a quite night at the Bungalow but the staff was focused and attentive to our party of six. The wine selection is simple but does cover the basics. With our bland foodie daughter along for the celebration, the waiter selected a good wine to balance her desire for the sweeter wine, and mine for a bolder favor wine. Each course arrived well timed with the conclusion of the previous. The entrees were well seasons, not relying on salt or heat to cover any mistakes. I had the trout which was moist, flavorful, but still allowed the mild favor of the fish to come through.
Our waiter was serious, but relaxed, adding to our celebration.
All in all, we will be returning again.4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious FoodNice competition for Sweet Water Tavern across the street. I had the walnut encrusted salmon and it was among the best salmon dishes I have ever had. The place is a little dark which could be nice for romance, but I went with my parents and my wife and kids and it could have been a little brighter for our group. We also had the calamari with fried green tomatoes and they were delicious.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMMust try! Will def be back!We went for brunch on Sunday. Food was great but limited options on the menu for the day.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMSomething for everyone! The Lakehouse has it all, just choose the room you want to suit the atmosphere you are looking for. We sat in a front room for a lovely Easter brunch. There was a VERY large party in the room when we sat and feared we would not get the service we were hoping for... but not only did they handle the party (from what I saw) well, they also gave our small party excellent service. But the TV bar just calls for you to come have fun with dart boards, an open deck that overlooks a pond, TV's everywhere and more. There is a room that looked perfect for a romantic evening, a small conversational bar and a cigar bar. Then, as if that was not enough, there are lovely facilities downstairs for your reception, family reunion, etc. Nicely done!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMHave already talking up yourHave already talking up your restaurant, hoping u have a Mother's Day brunch3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMThe restaurant continues toThe restaurant continues to improve with the kitchen seeming to have found its pace. We both ordered the special for dinner - a rockfish over asparagus risotto. The rockfish was cooked perfectly and the risotto was delicious. We shared a panna cotta dessert and it was excellent.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMWe love this place! ChefWe love this place! Chef Jason is fantastic - the wine list is great - Annabella Pinot Noir is our personal favorite. The salmon was prepared the best way I have ever eaten it. We enjoy alternting between the quieter dining room and occasionally the very large sports bar like atmosphere.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistently flavorful. SalmonConsistently flavorful. Salmon a big hit and one of the best turkey burgers out there
!3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMRestaurant theme park!Great for any occasion! Or just a stop by. With all of its " venues " you can't miss what you are looking for. Formal to Casual it is like a theme park of a restaurant.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMEnjoyed an amazing dinnerEnjoyed an amazing dinner experience this past Saturday night. My wife and I were joined by 3 couples and all of us thought the dinner was excellent. Service surpassed all of our expectations. With teh multiple rooms the Bungalow Lakehouse has you can find a vibe which is just right for you. We dined in the main dining room - Thanks to the owner Cheryl we had a table front and center.
Server was always present but never annoying. Filled wine glasses without being asked - very attentive and very knowledgeable. Short ribs were simply the best. Paired with grits and collard greens. Very imaginative and nice cotrast in tastes. Steak, chicken were as good. Loved the cigar bar!
We all walked away telling ourrselves we would be back soon!3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food and ambience wereThe food and ambience were most enjoyable. We celebrated my granddaughter's 17th birthday. We were seated at a large table and were delighted that we could talk at a moderate level without competing with other background noise.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMOur server, Meaghan, was phenomenalOur server, Meaghan, was phenomenal. The food was great, too.3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMOrdered the scallops - theyOrdered the scallops - they were very good! I do think the price was a little steep - $26 for 4 scallops and no sides with that. My friend had the salmon and thought it was fabulous. The staff was very attentive and the order turnaround time was fast. I will definitely return.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AM
