  • "We were advised by a friend that we HAD to go here. We are very glad we did. The food was great, the staff....very friendly. We especially enjoyed our server, Dave. He was knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful when it came to helping us make decisions. His personality was the topping on the creme brule!! Which, we might add, was to die for. Mind you, so was the crab cake and the steaks....Definitely a night to remember during a fabulous weekend."

  • "A bit on the pricy side but for the great service makes it worth it. The food tastes great and is very consistent."

  • "Enjoyed a special night out at Brooklyn's, this was our first time to try this restaurant. The menu had a variety of choices, we had the salmon and halibut. They were excellent, prepared so you could enjoy the natural flavors. We enjoyed our booth where we could actually have a conversation without the din you usually get in other restaurants. Wine selection is fantastic both by the glass and bottle."

  • "The Brooklyn is one of my five or so mid-town go-to places for a great lunch. This is a seafood house - highly recommended are the fish of the day, the bouillabaisse, and raw oysters. It's a comfortable spot for a business lunch, or with the spouse for a special treat like an anniversary lunch. Nice wine list, and I've heard the hamburgers are fine, but please, go for the seafood! Only miss IMHO is the (white) clam chowder - a bit too much flour as usual with white chowders. But I've had most items on the menu, and can assure you it is a bountiful and delicious set of choices. And I've never had a waiter who wasn't first class."

  • "Excellent food and reasonably priced restaurant for lunch. The closeness of tables in the front part of the restaurant made a private conversation difficult. Ask to be seated in the back part if you do not want to share everybodies conversation."

  • "We stopped in for dinner before a concert at Benaroya Hall. Our waiter asked if we had plans our was this a casual dinner. Food was excellent from appetizers to dessert. Portions were perfect. Everyone finished each plate."

  • "We go to the Brooklyn often, but always for our anniversary. It's always so memorable and a culinary adventure. The server was a gem."

  • "The clam chowder is one of the best, if not THE best in town. We could have just got the chowder and bread and been totally satisfied. We also got a couple of appetizers, which were good too. But, I definitely will be returning for the chowder."

  • "Ideal for a get together with friends for dinner and then a concert at Benaroya. The atmosphere is intimate enough for conversation. The service is excellent. When I usually go I have the steak but this time I had the halibut. Stick with the steaks."

  • "Had a friend recommend this place and I read some reviews but it was so much better than I thought it was going to be. My husband and I are already making plans to go back for happy hour or another dinner. Also plan on taking my mom when she comes to visit. Just excellent all around!!"

  • "On previous occasions I have always opted for some type of seafood dish here. After sharing a dozen oysters (excellent) I was tempted by the Jidori Chicken. The menu says this is brick pressed and oven roasted, served with a bacon wrapped traviso, ricotta cheese mashed potato, atlas globes and majool dates with marcona almonds. I think that this was one of the best chicken dishes I have ever had which will present a problem on my next visit: will it be fish or fowl?"

  • "Even though the menu did change and one of my favs....crab salad is gone....the food here is always very good. Only another restaurant on the waterfront can match Brooklyn's oyster.very fresh!"

  • "On very rainy Sunday afternoon following an resounding Symphony performance, the Brooklyn Seafood ,Steak and Oyster House resturant near by was a very quiet setting to enjoy a cocktail and some small plates off the menu. Especially liked the Venison wrapped in bacon.... and some pan fried oysters with spicy red sauce was most enjoyable with a glass of Acrobate Pinot Gris. Bowl of Clam chowder also hit the spot. We never order desert...... but the waiter convinced us share the carmel pear offering----next time I want my own - no sharing!! Great day to start the week....Thanks Brooklyn...."

  • "Wasn't particularly busy but it was a Monday night. Our waitress was an adorable blond that gave us friendly and fantastic service. Great choice of cocktails and must recommend the one with a blood orange. The name escapes me but it did include the word fear. My boyfriend and I started with an order of their bread ( a must) the chefs bakers dozen of oysters (amazing) and the bacon wrapped venison ( best venison either of us ever had and cooked to perfection). Our entrees were the new York and the steak Oscar. Both were heavenly. We finished with the baked pear and mascarpone. This place has never let me down and I can't wait to come back:)"

  • "The food is good, but it needs more variety. I do appreciate the Salmon Nicoise which is new to the menu. I would appreciate more fish or non-red-meat meals. Maybe some sushi as it is a seafood restaurant?"

  • "Was disappointed with the thick, gooey, clam chowder. It was tasteless. Enjoyed the day boat scallops/ short rib. Delicious and well- presented. The key lime dessert was not like the previous time when I was in Seattle. It use to be light and had a very tasty lime flavor. This time it was very thick and lacked the lime flavor. Too much of the condensed milk. Excellent, attentive, service"

  • "This is my favorite place for great food in Seattle! Perfect for a romantic evening or a night out with friends. We both had the Steak Oscar, a first time for my guy and the steak itself was melt in your mouth perfect! Presentation was exceptional, with the potato towers looking very hip. The staff has always been very attentive every time I have been there, even when it was with the children. The room is nice with warm woods and brass metals. The valet parking is a plus, so you don't have to find your own. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!"

  • "Went back after a couple year's away and had a wonderful dinner. Sat at the Chef's counter to take in the cooking action and thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful seafood dinner. The scallops were outstanding. Make sure to save room for the poached pears - one of the best desserts in town."

  • "We returned this year to enjoy a quiet dinner. The first time we didn't have reservations & were seated at the counter & enjoyed the view to watch the food prepared. This was highly entertaining. This time we had a table for 2 and we had another great meal. We plan on making this a regular stop when we visit seattle."

  • "I've been this restaurant twice, once with a friend for drinks, oysters and dinner and a second time for a romantic birthday celebration...both times I was not disappointed. The oyster selection rocks, the chef's seating is the best seat in the house and the Steak Oscar is to die for. I highly recommend this restaurant for all occasions, except maybe not with the kiddies...you will want to enjoy this meal, the ambience, etc."

  • "I stopped in after going to an early evening lecture. Hungry but not starving. A couple of the small plates exactly filled the bill. The lobster ravioli was delicious with a cream sauce and fish roe (5*). Venison medallion wrapped in bacon had some gristle, and could have been cooked a bit longer, but was tasty (3* for an average 4* rating). Sitting at the counter with high-backed swivel chairs was interesting. The server was busy and stopped by occasionally. The wine list by the glass was adequate."

  • "If you love seafood, this is the place. Way better than McCormick's, or anything near the Market. A solid "A" rating for a classic, white table cloth seafood restaurant with an excellent wine list and excellent service."

  • "I have been to the restaurant several times for lunch and had an issue with swatting fruit flies, even in the winter. During lunch they did not use the restaurant effectively and had everyone crammed in a corner. It was very loud, I could not hear my lunch companion."

  • "The waiter that served us was very attentive and highly recommended the salmon dish which was the house specialty. It was excellent. Would come back again."

  • "This is a fun place; nice atmosphere, oyster bar, and a long expanse of chef's counter, which is really a fun place to sit. The oysters are stellar!"

  • "I've never had a wedge salad with a wedge so small that the head of lettuce obviously served 10 portions. The scallop special was described to be very large scallops served atop a potato cakes with short rib beef on top. The scallops were excellent although they and the potato cakes were the size of a 50 cent piece. ( you get 3). Very disappointing that I took 3 friends there for a special visit."
