Diner Reviews
  • "Would not recommend restaurant if anyone in your party has a medical condition that compromises their immune and is shy about sending food back. After we were served a rare pork chop, we were informed by the wait-staff the restaurant cooks their meat at lower temperatures than industry standards. The chowder was served a little cool, and the thickener was at the lumpy stage that happens near room temperature. Liked the visual atmosphere, had an extensive wine list and selection of mixed drinks."

  • "We have now dined at Brickhouse multiple times. The experiences have all been good. We have sat at the bar and done drinks and small plates, visiting with the bartender and other guests and have had full dinner celebrating birthdays. All good! Steaks and seafood both excellent."

  • "Visiting central Oregon, so glad we found this place. Good food, super nice server. Great time."

  • "We have dined here on several occasions, but I am afraid this is our last! The service was excellent as always and the food was good too, but the portion size had gone way down. We ordered the special which was salmon and the piece was about 4 ozs with scattered broccoli and califlour for $32.00. Now we know it is a fine dining experience, but the price of this for the portion was crazy! We also felt that $9.50 for one shot of beafeaters on the rocks was over the top! Sorry to say that our favorite eating spot in Redmond is now crossed off our list!"

  • "Great steaks and fixings -- warm and cozy ambience -- wonderful service from Leslie. What else could you want? It is the best dinner in town (and probably the most expensive, but worth it!). Happy hour drink prices are a real bargain, and the wine list is endless (although we usually go "by-the-glass" selections). A long-time favorite for us."

  • "The food and service was great. The noise level was a little high for intimate dining. Would not recommend for anniversary dinner as ours was."

  • "After repeating the fact it was my Husbands 66th Birthday twice, we had hoped for a tiny bit of recognition in the form of a desert break or something, anything. But no, nothing. Every resturant we have ever mentioned this to has always responded with "Happy Birthday"! Desert's on us!"

  • "Adiquate, but not memorable. Rather formulaic. Tough job in a small town to create something unique that is not a knockoff of so many other steak houses. More attention to the food would help. Sauces on the main dishes too heavy. Blue cheese mashed potatos gluey"

  • "The main issue was the high cost for the average food. The batter on fish was too thin, which caused a lot of oil in the fish and made it soggy. The batter was the same on prawn also. The veggies were over cooked and lost their color. The fries were good though."

  • "I was a bit disappointed with my steak (a bit tough) but both others raved about theirs. I was also surprised by the small size of a glass of wine for the price, could have easily finished it with 2 moderate swallows had I been so inclined. Service was very good, enjoyed the meal as my 65th birthday celebration. Thanks."

  • "They boast about their steaks but at best their mediocre. Sent first steak back, "chewie", second steak a little better but nothing to remember. GREAT Waittaff."

  • "We frequently come here on our way to Sunriver on Friday nights. I'd like to be able to stop on our way out of Central Oregon but because we usually leave on Sundays that's not an option."
