  • "I love the Briarwood Inn. It is a great palce to eat. That being said, I hope they add more gluten free options for their gluten free guests. She had little to choose from and no pasteries were available to my guest except the coconut macaroon. I know the Briarwood chef's can hopefully add gluten free to their menus. Thanks"

  • "My husband and I and another couple dined at the Briarwood Inn for my friend's and my birthday. We had a lovely evening. They've freshened the dining rooms so you still get the woodsy feel, but it seemed lighter. The food was excellent. We started with the appetizer tray. Always a favorite and was excellent as expected. My husband loved the spinach salad and the other 2nd courses were delicious and well prepared. The steaks were prepared to the proper doneness (from medium well to rare) and were very tender and flavorful. Dessert held a variety of sweets which we enjoyed. The service was exceptional. There when you needed them, but not hovering. All in all a very enjoyable meal."

  • "Our table for two was right by the windows allowing a lovely view of the "river" that ran past the restaurant along with trees and shrubs making us feel like we were dining outside. (There is seating on the patio but we chose to be inside.) Our waitress was altogether lovely and very helpful in explaining the menu. Her service was excellent. The food portions were very generous. After eating for an hour we still took half the food home. This is a quiet, elegant setting fit for any special occasion."

  • "Another Wednesday night enjoying friends and Music on the Terrace. Cocktails, dinner and entertainment. What more could you need on a Wednesday night. Ordered Fish/Chips, Sirloin burger, Summer Cobb Salad and Spinach/artichoke dip. Everything was delicious. Had a 3 year old with us - after each song she was clapping - she knew what to do. Fun evening for everyone! Not too many more Wednesdays scheduled - enjoy it while you can."

  • "The Briarwood Inn was outstanding - we booked for my parents 50th wedding anniversary - the staff went out of their way to ensure we had a lovely table outdoors for the evening. Entertained by "Sinatra" it was a perfect Colorado venue! Additionally our family has a peanut allergy and the staff was extremely knowledgeable on ingredients and helped provide for a great meal for all of our guests."

  • "We saw the advertised special for Champagne and Oysters for $10. We are fairly frequent diners at the Briarwood. The oysters were fresh and very good. The champagne was not Dom but it was very good. For the price and the atmosphere, it can't be beat. They also had their appetizer tray on special (Mondays) for $15. This was our entire meal. I recommend it whenever they have this special."

  • "Perfect place to celebrate our retirement - had a private dining area with excellent service from Bryce and Patrick. Everyone enjoyed the evening. Ordered from the Tavern menu - most had fish/chips - everyone thought they were delicious - more than enough. Two of us ordered the Cobb Salad and a number of our guests had the Tenderloin Tacos - which were no only filling but they were tender. A couple friends ordered the house made ice cream - best around. Began the evening with the spinach and artichoke dip and cocktails. Spent about 3 hours enjoying food and friendship."

  • "This was our first time there. Went to celebrate 45 years of marriage. Great service but temperature of food was warm at best. I had a Rib Eye and my wife had Prime Rib. Nice cut of meat but neither was hot. Mash potatoes and vegetables were the same. Desserts were delicious. It was not very busy for a Saturday night. Probably won't go back. Too many other choices."

  • "Took our nephew from Wisconsin for brunch. He's been there before and loved the restaurant - especially the prime rib. My favorite is the omelet - ordered with everything except tomatoes.....huge - shared with our nephew. Dan ordered Eggs Briarwood - cooked to perfection. Sami - front desk greets everyone with a smile - just adding to the friendliness of the restaurant. Mimosa , fruit cup and pastries were delicious - even took some home. Patrick made sure we had everything we needed. Most enjoyable late Saturday morning."

  • "We enjoyed our meal in the Tavern - Jimmy took wonderful care of us....but then he always does. It was a bit hectic - a wedding was going on at the same time - people all over the place. Even with that confusion we weren't lost in the crowd and we give all the credit to Jimmy. Our nephew from Wisconsin was with us and we all felt like family. Ordered the wings - delicious - love the sauce. Meals consisted of the fish fry - very thin batter which was perfect.....Cobb salad - very filling....and the Tenderloin Tacos which our nephew loved. The tacos include beans - I think our nephew could have eaten a couple more servings - he said they were excellent!"

  • "I indicated that I wouldn't recommend The Briarwood Inn to a friend and that is based on my experience, not the rest of the party. The service from all the staff was exemplary, the ambience was wonderful however I was disappointed in the quality of my entrée. We were a party of four, two ordered the prime rib which was excellent, my wife ordered the filet which was excellent and I ordered the rib eye which was not acceptable. It was tough, very thin and very gristly, overall very disappointing. I've had far superior rib eyes at half the price at other eating establishments. I'm not one to complain or send an entrée back, I simply don't return."

  • "The filet was mouthwatering. Absolutely delicious. My friend ordered a seafood melody in tomato broth. It had a bit more of a tomato taste than what the waiter suggested and was a bit salty. He said it was good but personally wouldn't order it again. The lobster fritters were wonderful. We had a great table out of the way of traffic. Met early for a drink in the bar."

  • "Wonderful evening - perfect way to celebrate our retirement. Ray took fantastic care of us. Appetizer tray was delicious as usual. Jimmy's Italian Margaritas were fantastic. We ordered prime rib and peppered steak - enough for 2 meals. Melted in your mouth. Dessert tray after a wonderful meal was perfect. Enough to take home for a second most enjoyable meal."

  • "We went to hear a Frank Sinatra tribute on the patio and had drinks & appetizers. The place was packed! Because everyone showed up and ordered at 5:30 when the music started, service was a little slow, but we went for the music so it didn't matter. I've been there on other occasions and the service was fantastic - they are usually very attentive and food is always wonderful. They have their signature appetizer tray on Mondays for less than half it's normal cost, so that's a favorite day to go there, too."

  • "For a restaurant of this caliper I expect to have our wait person serve us however, someone else served our champagne and I had to refill our champagne glasses our waiter did absolutely nothing except take our order and our check and the restaurant was not busy at all (maybe 7 parties a total of 30 guests maximum)! I am a big tipper when earned and left a very small tip percentage wise due to the lack of attention we received for example empty water glasses etc."

  • "The quality is what you would expect for this price range with a prix fixe menu, but they are surprisingly generous with the portions. We were shocked when they allowed a patron to have her dog accompany her in the restaurant. Not what is expect of this type of restaurant. I was a bit offended. Our waiter Ray had about 15-20 tables with limited support from busing staff; Ray did the majority of filling our water and served all of our food. Although he had to run around a lot, he was very personable and entertaining. If he noticed an empty glass or long wait time, he would make a joke to keep us happy. Overall the experience was below what you'd expect from a restaurant in this price range, but Ray made it worthwhile."

  • "We chose the Briarwood for a dinner with another visiting couple that we have know for 50 years. The location and ambiance were very good. The menu was appropriate for the occasion. The expense at $100 per person with wine and tip was appropriate.... One big issue was the over attentive wait staff. We wanted to "go slow dinner" and listen to stories. We mentioned this to the wait staff, however we kept being pushed down the process they had planned for us. Too many stories being interrupted trying to get our order into the kitchen and on to the next course.... European dining at a restaurant of this caliber is aware of the occasional diner taking their time to enjoy an evening with food and conversation..."

Ordered the Tenderloin Tacos - extremely tender, juicy and delicious. Enjoyed the Sirloin burger - more than enough for any man. Our friend had the Summer Cobb Salad - dressing on the side. Did think he could finish the entire salad - it was that big - but he managed. Unfortunately the weather wasn't in our favor and the music was inside - still wonderful Wednesday evening!"
