My husband& I especially liked the relaxing atmosphere. Drinks- average. Menu- good, no chicken dish but vegetarian available. Selection of appetizers-great, got Cambozola Crostini which was excellent. Soups& salad selections vast& diverse. My husband & I settled for: Salmon and Chilean Sea Bass. The Salmon itself had little flavor but sauce added what was missing-salmon was perfectly cooked. Sea Bass had much more flavor & my husband enjoyed it alot. Yam & Yukon mash was different but excellent. Several sides- all looked very appealing. Too full for desert but reviewed the menu& there's a varied selection. Terrific "chill out Lounge" music quietly playing. The service was very good and it is a beautiful place with good live music. The brunch was excellent but a bit pricey. The crab cake was great, plenty of crab meat. The rest of the brunch was good- plenty to choose from and the raw oysters were fresh. The Bloody Mary was very good as well.
Love the live piano and saxophone. The lobster bisque was very good, but everything else was only good as compared to other restaurants at this price range. We had a slightly late Sat reservation (9), but it was surprisingly not very busy which helped with low noise, but also felt a bit awkward (only table in 2 sections of about 15). I was very pleased with the kitchen and the dining service. The host person greeted us warmly, and the server was excellent. While I found the menu somewhat limited, the entrees we selected were very good (the steak excellent, the ahi tuna very good). The calamari appetizer was outstanding! Bartender was so professional, funny, and engaging, and the jazzy music so relaxing we decided the mood was set and to stay put and enjoy dinner right there at the spacious bar. Have to say another deterrant of the restaurant were its very bright lights. It would be neat to incorporate a little more of the warmth & setting into the restaurant that the bar area has. The lower lighting in the bar areas made for a much cozier dinner experience. The restaurant decor is beautiful, but after a long day of traffic and work, it's hard to want to sit in a bright restaurant.
