"Good food and a view to die for. It is very difficult to have a normal conversation when sitting across from your partner. It is loud like a pub so I would say this is good for groups but unfortunately not quiet enough for couples dining which is too bad because the location and view are exceptionally romantic."

"I made reso on for my parents & family friends for 4. They arrived at 6:30pm w/ few tables already occupied but restaurant wasn't busy & a number of staff were around. They took a few mins deciding on dinner & asked for bread. After waiting a while, they asked someone again, then waited. This repeated for 30+ mins with about 5 different staff. Each time they see someone carrying bread it went to another table. Tables that arrived after them already paid their meals & left by the time the bread, meal & wine came all at once, 45 minutes later. The drinks menu was left at the table so my dad put it at the next table but it accidentally hit the plate. The Manager who originally came to apologize ended up telling him off for "throwing" the menu."

"The Boathouse Kits Beach was excellent. We had Easter brunch there and sat by the window watching the people and dogs on the beach with a beautiful clear view of the mountains. The service was good and food tasty. I was surprised at how fast our breakfasts came. I would highly recommend this restaurant and intend on returning."

"Of course the beautiful weather played a part in our very enjoyable evening but our party of four agreed, outstanding experience! All three steaks ordered were served to the desired degree and my salmon was exactly what I wanted. Ritchie our waiter was a delight and very efficient making the evening a 10/10."

"We had a wonderful lunch with a beautiful view of Kits Beach with the ships in the harbour. The fresh halibut was perfectly cooked and the oysters were delicious. Our server Jennifer is great at her job and kept 5 foodies happy."

"The Boathouse has a large, open "Earls, Keg" feel to it, a large and attractive bar area; friendly and attentive staff, extensive menu. The main draw for me is the location on Kits Beach, and consequent view. While he menu choices can be easily found elsewhere not for foodies)this is a great place to take visitors to the city, which is the main reason I return to this restaurant. Not a place for intimacy or a quiet meal; when busy, the noise level in this restaurant is horrendous simply due to the nature of its structure. On a Monday it was not busy, and easy to talk at our table. I'll return again."

"For the overall cost of the meal, I expected a better experience at the Boathouse. I have to admit that this was the first time I had been to the Kits Beach location, and maybe we caught them on a bad night.There was a large patch of sticky, spilled food underneath our table that hadn't been cleaned up after one of the previous guests, the restaurant was excessively noisy, and their by-the-glass wine list leaves a lot to be desired.The service was very good, however, and I certainly wouldn't fault our server for any of the establishment's shortcomings."
