Diner Reviews
  • "Waiter didn't order our meal correctly so we didn't get to eat together; this ruined our evening as we had been wanting to go there for ages. "

  • "The ambiance of the restaurant was wonderful. I would certainly recommend for an early dinner or a business lunch. Great location and service."

  • "The Blvd is the classic Beverly Hills dining experience with a patio overlooking Rodeo Drive, sumptuous seats, attentive service and a gorgeous chandelier with perfect rose bunches at each table."

  • "It's a beautiful place to dine and or have a cocktail in the afternoon with appetizers. It is also a great place to celebrate occasions. I went for dinner on St. Patrick's day to celebrate with my college friend. I was a little disappointed that they did not have as a special the usual Irish meal of corn beef and cabbage. I did have an apple martini for the green color and my dinner while not Irish, it was a delicious veal dish perfectly cooked. Our server was very patient with our order of no salt, no sugar, no sauce, no dressing on our salads. He was very professional and very pleasant. This is not the first time I dine at the BLVD. It is a great place to stop and have a drink and a meal after an afternoon of shopping."

  • "Tried the Blvd. Restaurant and was more than pleasantly surprised at the outstanding, cheerful service we received all evening. The selections were both interesting and delicious. The ambiance with the trio playing, started at 8 pm, was a delightful surprise! The pianist/vocalist performed all kinds of music beautifully with his other band musicians. A little pricey, but worth it for a special evening out with entertainment."

  • "The place was super expensive, and the food was awful. Both our main courses had no taste to them at all. I wouldn't recommend this place."

  • "Great food, great drinks, no rush. Great atmosphere"

  • "Waiters are very friendly and professional. One thing I could not understand was when I ordered water, I was asked flat? or sparkling, so I said flat? But it was a bottled water charged $9.00. We all wanted regular water. I needed more precise explanation. Maybe because we had a budget, we were very shocked to see a bill."

  • "The chef outdid herself with an amazing tuna tartare, Succulent lamb chops and decadent molten lava chocolate cake. David on keys kept the place hopping. An all around fun place for fine dining and dancing."

  • "It was fun to have dinner at this high-end Beverly Hills restaurant, but I found it to be a little stuffy and very pricey............The food was different, but just OK."

  • "My girlfriends and I had a great time. The music was soft enough to talk and very entertaining. The waiters were so warm and made us feel special. The food was easy to share and fun. The atmosphere was lively and relaxing at the same time. The warm tones of the room sets a nice tone the place is beautiful."

  • "It's much more noisy than I honk but in a good way. It's not disturbing. I quite like it no matter food or the overall environment. The service is excellent, brunch is really sophisticated but simple. The bar is vibrant. I recommend it."

  • "I went on Valentines day with my boyfriend for lunch and it was so romantic. The fresh flowers on the tables were beautiful and we sat next to the window so the scenery was nice. Next time I would love to sit outside but since it was our first time we wanted to sit inside."

  • "It was our second visit and totally different experience ( first one was really good ).We liked just bread and champagne .The menu for Valentine dinner contained so beautiful names for each of five courses , but quality - disaster !!! Thank God, portions were little . What happens with cook ? ,"

  • "We've been there once before for drinks and never tried the food before so we thought we'd give it a try. We ordered the pear salad and shared the New York stake. The salad was okay but the stake was absolutly gross! Since we were sharing it, I couldn't send my "half" meal back ! It was either aged or marinated with something weird! Kinda like cumin?! For whatever reason the place smelled like Indian food or something was cooked with curry ( which I dislike). When we looked around, we realized that everyone is only drinking! Lesson learned, don't order food! Go for drinks and dance the night away! The music was insanely good which made this place a memorable restaurant to return! We will be back and we'll make sure to eat prior!"

  • "We had friends in from out of town. We wanted to show them the glamour that was LA, a fun evening of dancing without going to a club, and to share a wonderful meal in a vibrant atmosphere. It was the perfect spot for dancing and the veal tacos and tuna tartare were off the charts delicious. The scallops and oxtail were mouthwatering. And we had just the right amount of food without feeling uncomfortably full which left us with lots of energy for dancing. The piano player and band were 5 star fun! All and all it's a great place for a fun evening."

  • "The food is stellar, absolutely fantastic! The noise level is like being at a club. The service was just awful. Our waiter would be M.I.A. for long periods of time. It took forever to get a drink. The whole night was inconsistent. The first class of champagne was beautifully poured at the table, the second at the end of the meal was brought to me in a shorter class already poured. Half our group was served their dinner first while the other half waited several minutes. We were celebrating a milestone birthday and it just felt like chaos. I regret even leaving a tip."

  • "For a 5 star hotel in Beverly Hills...I expected great food and great service. We were sat outside as requested...We sat there for 20 minutes with several servers walking back and forth; our menus still on the table and not one person stopped to assist us. I finally got up from my seat, went inside and told the hostess of the issue. Someone then came out to service our table. The food was okay...not as full of flavor as I expected. The view was by far the best part of the breakfast. We will not do breakfast there again."

  • "Not a pleasant experience-reception and service need improving. One's presence was not appreciated but for the type of clientele it serves and the time of the year we should have known better."

  • "The Blvd. was incredibly noisy, filled with seedy people - particularly near the bar - and there was no live music. In the past we enjoyed the ambiance and live piano music at The Blvd., and hope that it has not become a hangout for people who would be better served at a singles bar in Las Vegas"

  • "I came here to have dinner with friends. The service was excellent. They had a happening bar scene. They sat us on time. The food was amazing. It was a little slow coming out, but was worth the wait. The sommelier suggested the perfect wine for our meal. The staff was very attentive. It was a perfect evening. I will definitely come back."

  • "The BLVD is a wonderful restaurant. The food is spectacular, service is quiet nice and it makes one feel very special. The portions, presentation and combination of the food items are worth the experience."

  • "Normally reliable, our experience on this occasion was truly disappointing. We split a Cesar salad that was bland, missing any flavor, with lettuce cut too small. It was like eating grass. For our main course, we split the seafood pasta--they brought the wrong dish, a seafood salad. By the time the pasta came, it was obvious that it had been rushed. Much of the noodles were stuck together, they were undercooked and the dish was horrible. Having eaten at Blvd many times, this was just a disaster in all regards, and a real disappointment."

  • "I don't think we would dine at this restaurant again. The food portion was small. We have to wait almost 30 minutes for SUV. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone I know."

  • "My wife and I arrived on time for our reservation, however, we were asked to sit by at the bar until our table was readry. We attempted to get a drink while we waited but, to order a drink was a single line only and was at the entrance of the restaurant which was alrealy compact with other people waiting for their seat or a drink. Ten minutes later a waiter came by to ask if we wanted to order drinks and turned him down thinking our table would be ready at any minute. No one ever came to offer a time line on the wait. After 30 minutes of waiting, my wife and I were seated next to a window which offered views of Rodeo Dr. The food was good and the wine paring complemented the dishes. The waitress and bread server were friendly."

  • "The blvd is, almost by definition being at the corner of Wilshire Blvd and Rodeo Drv in Beverly Hills, an expensive eatery in the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. While someone like myself, a country boy from South Australia on a upper-middle class wage couldn't afford to eat there every day, it really is the perfect place for that special occasion meal and once-in-a-lifetime experience. It really is a case of "you get what you pay for". Yes, pricey, but I knew it would be going into the booking. And I got everything I hoped I would. A true "Bucket List" experience for the Average Joe. Thanks for everyone there who treated my date and I like royalty, and we lacked for nothing. Top marks for the service!"

  • "Not what you'd expect from a Four Seasons Hotel restaurant. Server never came by to check on how things were. She simply poured the wine and brought the food on the table. Server did not bring bread. We asked for it, and they brought it out after our second course. Wasn't expecting cold bread from an allegedly high end restaurant."

  • "Want to combine creative dishes, superb execution, beautiful atmosphere and gracious, attentive service? Surprisingly, it's all in one place at The Blvd. in the Beverly Wilshire hotel. Wehad a Travelzoo voucher for a five-course meal with wine pairings. While we were supposed to have two-ounce pours, the staff just kept refilling our glasses, even bringing us a different wine when we were not happy with one of the paired wines. The dishes we had were creative and superb, easily avoiding being too precious or overly ambitious, Who would think a watermelon gelee as the base for a salad would be awesome? There was a live band playing R&B and blues, making the experience really sweet. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating."

  • "Our waiter was great, attentive but not overly. Each course was thoughfully prepared and tasted as good as it looked. We really liked this place. Five stars all the way!"

  • "We had a very wonderful dinner here. We had the special pre-fixe menu we had purchased. The service was excellent, very nice, knowledgeable and made sure we were always doing well during dinner. The food for the most part was very good, there were some dishes that were not as exciting or as tasty as others. Overall we did enjoy and relaxing dinner. Would definitely recommend dining here."

  • "We invited another couple to join us for dinner at THE Blvd, and the evening was an unmitigated disaster. Be aware you are eating in what is essentially a very small bar with an extremely loud sound system that is much too large for the space. We were unable to hear each other speak even when shouting, and the waiter couldn't hear us either. We had pre-ordered the five-course wine-tasting menu, and had the misfortune to be towards the end of the evening. As a result, the restaurant had run out of some of the wines initially paired with the meal, and made some very unfortunate substitutes, including some that were literally undrinkable. The fish was old and smelly, and the food generally inedible. Wretched evening--will never return!"
