"Beautiful rustic scenery. We enjoyed watching the sun set while horses play in the vineyard across a small pond. The menu is simple but the specials were outstanding. Asparagas soup and lamb chops were wonderful, the atmosphere relaxed, the service was friendly. A beautiful evening"

"The soup of the day, a tomato with a dash of avacado and bacon was delicious and the NY strip was excellent. The eggplant dish was OK, the pasta too cooked for our taste. The view and peaceful location can't be beat."

"Enjoyed an early dinner, so the crowd was thin and dining room was quiet. Lovely views of a pond and mountains in the background. Food was moderately priced and we enjoyed our meal, especially the carrot-ginger soup du jour. Menu is limited, but there's something for everyone. Portions are generous. Wine list included a variety of wines by the glass, as well as bottles and cocktails. Service was great."

"My husband and I ate here to celebrate his birthday. We had never been to this restaurant before since we live out-of-town. We were blown away. The setting, the warm welcome at the door, the waitress, the food. It was ALL wonderful. We shared the macaroni and cheese first. You must try this if you go. I had the Atlantic Cod and my husband had the rack of lamb (fresh and local from Mountain Vernon Farm). Everything was cooked to perfection. We ended our dinner with the chocolate cake with mocha frosting. DIVINE! We will definitely go back the next time we are in the area."

"We had a lovely experience at the Blue Rock and want very much to return soon. We each had a very good meal - from appetizers to dessert (the chocolate cake was to die for!) everything was great. The menu is small, but we felt that the choices were relatively universal in appeal so we did not find this to be an issue. The service was warm, friendly and professional. The dining area is lovely and must have a very beautiful view in the warm weather months in particular. The inn itself is very lovely inside - there is a beautiful big dining area for groups that is separate from the main dining area and a lovely pub area as well. We were very excited to try the Blue Rock and it did not disappoint, we plan on being regulars for years to come!"

"We stayed at PARMA Inn & spa just up the street. Blue Rock was very close by, so we gave it a try. We were very very happy with our choice. It is a cozy little restaurant with a very attentive staff. Brian, our server, was great. My lamb was perfect, as was my daters fettucini. It was a great night. The fireplace made the room toasty warm and romantic. Just remember, they close at 8:30, so dinner plans have to be early."

"The Blue Rock Inn was wonderful! We had booked dinner there so that we did not need to drive back to DC after the Oyster and Wine Pairing....it turned out to be one of our best calls all year! The Mac n Cheese appetizer (with local Virginia ham chunks) was a standout. The lamb (rack) was perfectly done and married well with the cassoulet. OMG the homemade chocolate and hazelnut Gelato to top it off!!!! We stayed at the Inn that night and discovered the Inn breakfast was equally wonderful...the mini muffins.....mmmmmmmmmmm!"
