A word from The Bleecker Street
Inspired by the sights and sounds of Greenwich Village, THE BLEECKER STREET brings a little taste of lower Manhattan to Southern California. The interior is "Village Fun" with influences from SOHO, Little Italy and the warehouse district. Imagine the feeling of sitting between two vintage buildings at Barollo in SOHO,or the new meets old open industrial feeling of Peasant in NOLITA(North Little Italy), or the comfortable refined feel of Gemma's candles and dark woods in the Bowery. Bleecker Street is every bit and more.
Dress is urban casual with servers taking your order on a bent knee or sitting at an open seat. When you come to Bleecker Street, you're not coming to a restaurant you're coming to our home. We want to be the 1st place you think about when you say " I need to relax"

Diner Reviews
  • "Bleeker St. is a quaint little restaurant in Tarzana. Great drinks, excellent food, and a very attentive waitstaff. They have a nice outside patio as well. We had a dinner party of 6 and every dish was first rate."

  • "There is a very nice menu, with interesting variety. Salads were a good size and really good. Easy to share portions."

  • "Bleeker Street continues to impress time after time. Great service, food, beverage, etc. Has become my go-to meeting spot for catching up with friends I haven't seen in a while. The friendly and accommodating staff allows you to take your time, enjoy your meal and does not rush you to turn the table, but remains attentive with frequent trip to check on your happiness status. Kitchen is willing to adapt order to your taste (hold the mash potatoes, add more veggies) and the menu is exotic enough to make it interesting but does not sound like a lab experiment. Try the Red Velvet Cake dessert....moist, delicious and better than most!"

  • "Would not recommend. Hostess was rude and the service was poor. However the food was very good,"

  • "We got to the restaurant and it was crowded so I wasn't sure they would honor our reservation on time, but they sat us immediately and took care of us great. Service was perfect and food was outstanding. I would definitely recommend."

  • "My wife and I ate here on Saturday for a quick dinner and dined at the community high top table and ate off the happy hour bar menu. Our waitress Lara was very nice, but did not know the menu very well and constantly had to go back into the kitchen or speak to her Manager to answer our questions. The questions were very basic things that a waitress should know, such as how many buffallo wings come in each order and weather the menu listed the happy hour prices or were were the prices half off the listed price? The bread was extremely stale on the sliders we ordered, so much so that I took the sliders off the bread and ate it without bread. We have eaten here before and had a better experience, but for $70, I am not sure we will be back!"

  • "This restaurant was so cute, and the food was pretty nice. I cannot figure out why it was so empty, when surrounding area were booming. Maybe because it's located in the back, and the outside dining was next to a fairly busy parking lot."

  • "We'v been coming here since it opened a few years ago, and it does not disappoint. Good, friendly service, an interesting but not too complicated menu, good and powerful drinks, and an unpretentious crowd that enjoys good food."

  • "Bleecker Street has the advantage of being just off "the Boulevard," while still in the middle of a terrific area jam-packed with all kinds of places you'll want to go -- (Coffee shops, restaurants, stores, Whole Foods, etc., etc.). While the menu looks to be your basic pizza and pub grub, every dish I've tried has been surprisingly good -- a cut above what one would expect. The thin crust rectangular pizzas are enormous and delicious! And there's plenty of fare with lots of greenery, so you're free to make the healthy choice, too. The bar is terrific, with lots of tasty, reasonably priced cocktails and wines. It manages to be a great choice for an after-work drink with coworkers -- or a family meal! All this -- and free parking."

  • "I went to Bleecker Street for lunch with a colleague. It was a bit empty for 12:30pm, but the atmosphere was great, the food was good and the service was excellent. I would eat there again."

  • "We had to wait 40 minutes although we had a reservation. Very apologetic.....comped corkage. Service was weak at best....server didn't seem that busy but still was un-attentive....very friendly though. Had to ask several times to get water. Food was very average....almost mediocre. Food came out cold."

  • "We have heard and passed by Bleecker Street multiple times and thought it would be time to give it a try. They had a fantastic menu to choose from and they gave us the option of a set menu, as well. They had a great wine and drink list too. We made a reservation on a pretty last minute basis for New Years and it was easy to be done. The atmosphere and setting is great and we enjoyed their live music that night. It was an all around great experience. The lobster sandwiches and seared ahi were favorites to come back for!"

  • "Went for Valentine's dinner. Liked that they had both regular and prix fixe menu selections. Entertainment was very good - guitarist/singer accompanied by percussionist. Was lucky they had an opening and was able to get a table. Had a very enjoyable dinner. What was not cool was that a waiter or hostess told the people at the table next to us (who had been seated after us), that the restaurant needed the table, i.e., time for you to leave. Usually restaurants are more subtle than that. It seemed rude unless there was some prior agreement that they'd leave when the next reservation showed up."

  • "It's not NY, but it's as close as I've seen in the Tarzana. Had a wonderful time. The crab cakes are out of this world. Would absolutely go back. 5/5 stars!!!"

  • "We made reservations but were made to wait approx 10 minutes, the excuse "you were on time but others weren't". We were seated & our drink orders were taken quickly, but it took a while for the drinks to arrive. Once the ball was rolling we placed our orders, received our appetizer & our soups quickly but thats when things slowed. We were seated for 1 hr & 15 mins before our entrees came out. Tables that sat after us received their food but we hadn't. Our waiter did not come to give us an update, we asked him. He did apologize however once we brought it to his attention. Once the food arrived it was delicious but we weren't able to enjoy it much as we rushed to eat & leave so we could catch our movie. We had to take our dessert to go too."

  • "I have been here a few times and will always buy the LivingSocial or Groupon certificate, knowing that I will consistently have a great meal. This time, I had ciopino, and it was fantastic. We had reservations and arrived a bit late, so wound up at the bar. It took a while to get service (very crowded and busy), but when we did, the bar tender and waiters were friendly and helpful."

  • "Bleecker Street is a lot quieter for lunch than dinner. The lunch menu is excellent -- we had a roasted beat salad which was new on the menu and it was great. We also shared a pizza which was great -- thin crust and the sausage was outstanding. Very pleasant service. We will be back for lunch!"

  • "Our experience followed an incredible night at another restaurant so anything would not have looked that great but the dinner was not quite up to their usual standards. We saw the pizza and burgers going by which looked terrific but usually the regular entrees were very good and these were only good."

  • "As a regular to my neighborhood gem, I will be looking for a new spot. Had family from overseas, wanted to impress them and was nothing but embarrassed. No silverware, had to ask a few times. We were sat upstairs which normally isn't bad but we felt like it was a burden for the team to come and actually provide us with good service. Made a couple comments and it didn't get better. Felt management knew there was an issue but didn't address it until we were walking out the door and at the point, just wanted to leave."

  • "I've come here probably ten times in two to three years. I've introduced friends and relatives. We all come away happy every time. It's great for lunch and dinner. They produce a really great burger, wonderful fish dishes, and last night, they didn't charge for corking."

  • "Nice, welcoming restaurant with great food. Huge bar, upstairs dining, good for dates, near shopping, and a wonderful wine list. The pizza's are delicious and the appetizers were pleasing, especially the jalapeño calamari."

  • "The restaurant shouldn't offer seatings at 10pm or later on New Year's Eve if it doesn't have the staff to wait on those tables. We were seated by the front door, as cold air flowed in. Our server took our order for water, but didn't return for about 15 minutes. Finally, I asked the hostess if we were forgotten. We later asked to move away from the front door, which was granted. But we didn't get any attention all night. Not even refills on water. We spoke to other food runners to get things like bread and the complimentary champagne. We were not offered coffee or dessert. This is a good restaurant and we've been there before, but I'll never go back on a holiday. The staff was too busy setting up for their own apparent celebration upstairs."

  • "I met friends here for happy hour one night and really liked the place. Then the other day I took clients here for lunch. The occasions and atmosphere were totally different, but each was enjoyable. Good food, good wine, good service. I will come back here again, hopefully more often."

  • "When this restaurant first opened we loved it! Great food, fun atmosphere live music! Now it's gone down so much! No wonder last minute reservation! Food was mediocre no live music on a Saturday night! And 40 minutes into our appetizer the waiter returns and says it looks like I forgot to put your order in the computer can you give me your order again! There were maybe 5 tables occupied in the whole restaurant! Never going back! By the way, we had a table of 4 we ordered only appetizers and had 2 bottles of wine at $38 each and our bill with tip was about $300! Stupid expensive. Also at 945 the waiter told us that the kitchen was about to close if we wanted to order dessert!"

  • "We went on a Friday night. The food is good and so is the ambience and wine list. While the hostess and servers were friendly, the wait just to get a glass of water, not to mention our food, was way too long. Unless you want to spend the whole evening here, I would avoid it on a weekend."

  • "I ordered the chopped salad and was very disappointed. It was bland and boring. Bread was good. Pesto pizza was below average. Staff was very nice but the food will keep me from returning."

  • "Had a wonderful dinner with friends. Having recently separated, they thought it would be a good "pick me up", and it was. Service was good and unrushed. Ambience was just right and food was good too. The parking lot makes access very easy. We've dined there several times before and look forward to going again."

  • "I hadn't dined there in a while and was surprised at how food quality had dropped. Seems like they are cutting corners to save money. Very disappointing, especially when you are paying over $100 for three people."

  • "Unimaginative food, poorly prepared and presented. Very expensive drinks. $14.00 for a tiny old fashioned with very little bourbon. $ 14.00 for non-premium martini (at least this had a little gin in it). Arugula salad with chicken was a very dry over-cooked piece of chicken covered with dry arugula with very little dressing. Whitefish was tasteless, poached, bland and came with "lobster ravioli" which consisted of a single ravioli, over-cooked and lying under the fish. Service was fine; no complaint there. But food and drinks not worth the money. I should have gone to CPK."
